Chapter 188
It wasn’t easy, but everyone finally showed up. Jeremiah got himself together and went into the meeting room to talk with everyone
There were all kinds of people here, belonging to different sides. Quite a few leaned toward the boss and Simon. Last time, Stephanie took care of Garrett, but he still needed time to convince the others, and that was why.
“Mr. Jeremiah, I called you so many times last night and you didn’t pick up. Today you have to give us an explanation.” He had just come in when someone spoke up.
“Yeah, this was a project for all of us. If the higher–ups stopped it, we’d lose everything. That wasn’t something you could handle. Mr. Jeremiah!”
“Actually, I sent you a message before too. There was this way, just get rid of Serena and it would work. Wasn’t it the same with other variety shows before?”
“Yeah, just get rid of the ones with problems, and the project could still go on. The rest of us also banned some top artists before, so this wasn’t aimed at you, Mr. Jeremiah.”
Everyone was already talking at once, and it seemed like each person was pushing Jeremiah to take a stand.
Jeremiah looked at these people, his jaw clenched
Even though they were talking about normal ways to handle the show. a lot of people were just watching for fun, and Jeremiah knew it very
well!
Chapter188
Good thing Stephanie came up with a way, otherwise he would’ve been caten alive by these people today.
“Cough, cough…” Jeremiah thought, then cleared his throat, getting ready to say the excuse he’d made up earlier.
But right at that moment, Harrison Wilkinson, who had been sitting on the side playing with his phone. suddenly knocked on the table,
“Everybody, listen to me for a sec!” Harrison said as he shoved his phone into his pocket.
The Wilkinson family was one of the three big bosses in Haraville, and
the Wilkinson family was different from the Conway family. The and
three
people in this generation of the Wilkinson family got along really well, so they didn’t dare to look down on Harrison.
‘About Serena, we had something to say,” Harrison started.
Everyone looked at Jeremiah.
Everyone knew that just the day before yesterday, the Wilkinson Group had just become the show’s sponsor, and it hadn’t been long before such a big thing happened. The Wilkinson family definitely wanted an explanation.
And today, with all the investors here, if Harrison said anything bad about Jeremiah, it basically meant Conway Entertainment was out!
So, a bunch of people were just watching Jeremiah for fun.
The other two people from the Conway family sitting at the table also looked at Jeremiah with half–smiles.
After all, becoming the advertiser only at this point showed that there hadn’t been any personal relationship between the Wilkinson family and Jeremiah before.

“The Wilkinson family…
Harrison spoke, saying word by word: “We thought Serena had no
problem at all, so the Wilkinson Group wasn’t going to pull the ads not matter what.”
The whole meeting room was dead silent.
The people who had been waiting to see Jeremiah make a fool of himself were all shocked now.
The other two from the Conway family both frowned and looked at Harrison.
Simon couldn’t help but speak up: “Mr. Harrison, are you sure about this? Did you ask your brother about it?”
Jeremiah snapped out of it too, glared at Simon and snapped, “Stop making noise! Mr. Harrison is talking!”
The wounds on Simon’s face hadn’t healed yet, and now he was getting pissed and about to snap at Jeremiah.
Harrison got impatient and said, “Alright, alright, I didn’t get it wrong, that’s how it was, the Wilkinson family supported Serena, she didn’t need to withdraw, and we put the ad in because we valued Serena’s strength, now that she withdrew, what about our ad?”
Eugene Conway glanced at the person next to him. The other guy got it and said, “Mr. Harrison, I heard you were a fan, especially of this Serena. But being a fan is one thing, business is like a battlefield. You can’t just ignore your brother and do whatever you want.”
Harrison just couldn’t take it anymore and slammed the table as he stood up.
“What do you mean by not listening to my brother and messing

around?” Harrison stood up and looked down at everyone. “Our family got along just fine. What I said today was what the three of us discussed together!”
“And also…”
Harrison glared at everyone and said, “So what if I liked Serena?”
“Today, I’m saying it right here, I, Harrison, was gonna protect Serena!”
