He already left with Roxanne.
That place was empty, nothing there
Stephanie paused for a moment, then looked away, but on the way she caught sight of Lennon’s eyes.
He just looked at her, didn’t say anything else. When he noticed her gaze, he looked away and told his younger brother and sister to leave.
Stephanie didn’t say much, just got in the nanny van with Jeremiah
The car moved forward slowly. Today, since the recording went well. I got off work early.
Stephanie’s body was a lot better than before, at least not as weak as it used to be.
She took off her makeup, removed her mask, and changed her clothes in the nanny van.
She remembered what the policewoman told her, that her car was already fixed, so she told Jeremiah and got off halfway
She planned to go get the car, then go back to the place she was staying.
All these days, she had been staying in the hospital and also wanted to go home for a bit.
Jeremiah didn’t argue with her, just dropped her off at the intersection near the 4S shop.

Stephanie watched the car leave, then she slowly walked into the 48 shop.
After a bunch of paperwork. Stephanie got her car.
Sitting in the driver’s seat again, she had a strange feeling.
The last time I drove this car, it seemed like it was a really, really long time ago.
But it had only been 10 days.
Stephanie pressed her lips together, pushed down the strange feeling inside, started the car, and drove on the city streets.
It was already getting dark, and it was the evening rush hour in the city.
The dim streetlights were already on, and the cars ahead had their lights on too. Everything seemed especially busy.
Music was quietly playing on the car radio, and every now and then there was a reminder about traffic jams somewhere.
Stephanie had been lying in the hospital bed for many days, so she actually felt a bit unused to seeing and hearing all this.
It was like someone who had been floating in the air for so long, they already forgot what real life was like.
Stephanie looked at the traffic on the overpass ahead, pushed down the strange feeling in her heart, and focused on driving.
Meanwhile, in the traffic under the overpass, a Bentley was moving slowly.
Maxwell sat in the back seat and looked out the window.

Chapter107
Sitting next to him was Roxanne, and right now she was looking at her, phone, texting someone.
Maxwell looked at the traffic outside the window.
All these years, this city was still as crowded as ever.
The scene of the masked woman and the Wilkinson family siblings. taking a photo together showed up again.
He didn’t know why, but he always cared so much about that masked
Woman.
She was clearly Jeremiah’s woman.
Maybe it was because he always thought of Stephanie whenever he saw that woman.
The light was red up ahead, and the driver pressed the brake steadily.
Maybe it was because of that pause, Maxwell thought of Stephanie again.
I remembered that 12–hour ferry ride escaping from Esnolia.
Later they made it to shore.
The ones waiting for them on the shore were their own people.
There was no accident, and nothing too thrilling.
Some only had those eyes when she looked up at him.
Smiling, trusting, determined.
Those eyes were full of him.
Maxwell suddenly felt a little suffocated sitting in the car at that
07:16
moment.
He rolled down the window, wanting some fresh air.
But that suffocating feeling still didn’t go away.
His heart felt like it was being tightly squeezed by someone’s hand, and it hurt a lot..
I heard music coming from the car next to me while we were both waiting at the red light.
It was a classic song, and it was about cloudy days.
The dock after we came ashore that day seemed like it was cloudy.
The sea right after the snow had this cold beauty, and back then, she was holding his hand tight.
He suddenly started thinking about her again.
“Max, everyone online was saying the pendant you bought me looked nice.” Roxanne’s voice came from beside me.
Maxwell finally came to his senses and looked at Roxanne. The pendant on her neck was shining brightly.
“Yeah.” he replied. “Suits you.”
“Right? I thought so too.” Roxanne laughed even harder.
Maxwell lowered his eyes a little and pressed his lips together.
Roxanne had less than half a year left.
This was his responsibility, he let Roxanne down.
He was already going through a divorce with Stephanie.
Let’s talk about everything after half a year.
