Chapter 107

After a while, he lay her gently on the bed and said, “Lemme take off my shirt, darling.” After pressing kisses on her forehead, he walked over to the wardrobe and then the bathroom.

In a couple of minutes, he emerged in his white towel and put on his shorts for the night, knowing how much his wife loved snuggling onto his bare body. As he approached her, a smile pulled her lips and he smiled back.

She can't believe she's reunited with her charming husband. She'd now be held in those enormous powerful muscles and lay her head on his broad chest again. Once again!! Her smile was broad.

“How do you feel now, darling?” He asked while lying on the bed and taking her into his arms. He pressed kisses on her forehead, feeling the roughness of the healing injury. It has become small and is fading gradually. Yet she was as stunning as usual.

“It has subsided.” She said, listening to his heartbeat.

“But baby what happened?” He asked. “Since when did you develop stomach pain?”

“The night you sunk your elbow into my stomach…”

“What?!!” He sat up immediately, accidentally pushing her to the bed. “I did what?!” He was gazing down at her.

“The night you had sex with me,” She said. “You were furious and rough. You angrily warned me to not touch you. While getting into me you were pressing my stomach hard with your elbow…and you did that for a long time. And while you were gesticulating, it hurt even more.”

Restlessly, he poked his fingers into his hair and disheveled it, then shot a fierce gaze at her. He was angry. “Why didn't you tell me huh?!”

His voice was slightly raised and fear glowed in her eyes.

“Like, I was unknowingly doing that to you and kept your mouth shut, huh?! You never mentioned it to me?!” He was gesticulating violently while talking. His breath was heavy.

“I…I d…did…but…”

“But what?!” He snapped and she flinched.

Upon seeing her flinch so hard, he blew out heavily, and said softly, “Baby did you tell me that night?” Placing his palm on her cheek, he felt her trembling, and that struck him. “Darling?” He took her into his arms and kissed her, rubbing her back to calm her fear. Damn, she's afraid of him! “It's okay… It's okay, my sweetheart. I'm sorry I snapped at you, baby. But, sweetheart, why didn't you tell me that night? I probably have broken something inside of you without even knowing. That must have hurt you so badly.”

“I t…told you and you yelled at me.” She sobbed

“I did?” His gaze was glittering with remorse.

“Yes, while in pain I touched your arm b…but you screamed at me.”

That must hurt! He thought. “Oh darling, I'm sorry. I'm so sorry I…I never meant to hurt you.” He kissed her forehead while rubbing her soft stomach. “I'm sorry, okay? Love of my life. My darling baby.” He was fondling her. “Oh, my love I can imagine how you cried…damn! I wasn't even aware I was hurting you that much. That's dangerous. We must visit the hospital tomorrow…and my darling will be fine. Sorry for being so rough on you that night, okay? I love you, heartbeat.” He pressed his lips against hers and wiped off her tears with his big hand. “Oh don't cry, darling. Would never yell or hurt you anymore, okay?”

“I love you, hubby,” She said softly.

In a couple of days, Cayden organized a party for his wife in the evening. In the well-adorned garden, Doctor Max, Weston, Jigyasa, and his domestic staff were all present, including Jasmine who was holding Raiden. The event was remarkable and thrilling.

“For all the yelling, beating, and trauma I've caused you, my heartbeat, I present this package to you!” Cayden said.

Letting out joyful cheers, they gave rounds of applause, and Elodre covered her face as she shed tears of joy. It was a little love-shaped box. Opening it, everyone gazed curiously. She let out a gasp and jumped on him when she brought out two keys of her favorite exotic cars and another round of applause filled the air as the audience screamed along with tears in their eyes.

“Thank you!” Burying her face in his cardigan, Elodre was crying while Cayden was petting her.

Everyone was upstanding as they cheered Cayden and Elodre with drinks in hand. But something else snatched their attention and Jigyasa turned only to find Weston kneeling with one leg. Gazing up at her, he brought out a glittering gold ring from a glassy box and said, “Will you marry me, Jigyasa?”

Jigyasa's hands flew to her lips as a river of tears flowed from her eyes. Her heart was throbbing in her chest. There was a pin-drop silence as everyone was curious about her response. Her dream has just come true. She can't believe it. “Yes, I will!!” She cried and everyone jubilated.

“Bro!” Cayden screamed.

With a grin, Weston slipped the ring down her finger and it fitted perfectly. Hugging, they kissed with so much affection.

Elodre was just so happy for them. With tears rolling down her eyes, she was clapping along with others.

“Also,” Cayden continued and the audience turned to him. “I wanna say a huge thank you to Doctor Maximiliano Lane for helping me reunite with my darling wife and dear son…”

Bobbing, Maximiliano cheered along with others before another silence.

“He saved my family's life,” Cayden said. “He took care of them both…but I wasn't aware 'cause I almost punched him in his face when he came to my office…”

They all laughed.

“I never knew he was an angel in disguise,” Cayden said and they clapped. “Thank you very much, sir!”

As Maximiliano walked over to Cayden, the audience cheered. They hugged for a while. “I can't thank you enough.” Cayden patted his back.

“So, I'm gonna sponsor all your ongoing projects and render scholarships to your kids…”

Maximiliano blinked as a big smile pulled his lips.

“I also present this car key to you!”

The audience screamed for joy. A few distances away was a beautiful black Puma for Max who was on cloud nine. “Oh, thank you!!” They hugged. “I never expected this.”

“I owe you!” Cayden smiled.

Everyone celebrated as pop music boomed in the air. All joyful, they all ate and popped champagne….

Elodre was in Cayden's arms all through. Neither of them was willing to let go. Jigyasa and Weston were also having a whale of a time together.

*****

Both Elodre and Jigyasa's dreams of getting married to these charming and most feared billionaires are true…
