That evening, Cayden was still with Elodre in the hospital and Raiden was with them. After having dinner, Raiden fell asleep in his dad's arms. Gazing down at those tiny red lips, he brushed kisses on them, cuddling him hard. “Oh, my boy.” He caressed the kid's cheeks. “My cute boy.”
While sitting on the colt, Elodre was lying down, laying her head on his hard muscular thigh and he rubbed her with one hand. Cayden lay the kid on the colt and turned to his wife. He noticed she'd been gazing at him. “Darling?” He gently sat her on his lap and cuddled her. “Are you alright?” He took off some hair strands from her face. “What is it, baby?”
“I…I wanna say something to you,” She said. “M…may I?”
Cayden was studying her closely. “Why do you look so scared while talking to me, baby? Comm'n don't do that. I'm your man…always remember that. I fuckin love you and nothing's ever gonna change that, okay?” He planted a kiss on the newly wrapped bandage on her forehead. “Tell me, I'm all ears.”
“It's about J…Jasmine,” Elodre said, thinking he'd get mad but he was quiet for a while.
He'd forgotten about Jasmine! He recalled. Oh God! “Go ahead, sweetheart.”
Elodre narrated how Jasmine had been helpful, plus the beef between her and Samantha. “I just felt Jasmine did nothing wrong. If Samantha could set me up, she probably did the same to her.”
“Yeah,” He bobbed in agreement. He'd never thought about that for once.
“I just feel so sad for her…” Tears spilled down Elodre's cheeks as she talked about Jasmine.
Cayden nodded. Oh, poor Jasmine. “I once tried to ask her what happened but she looked so lost.”
“I guess that's because of the shock and tension,” Elodre said, gazing up at him. “I trust her…she can't even kill a fly. Maybe she was afraid of speaking to you because you were mad. And there's nothing she could have said that would have pleased you at that moment of rage.”
That's true though. Cayden sighed.
“I noticed she's usually frightened of you…”
“Frightened of me?!” That surprised him. He knows his employees get quite shy and mindful of him…but being frightened is a different story altogether. He sighed. “How did you know about that? She told you?”
“Indirectly though,” Elodre said. “I noticed the fear in her eyes when I encouraged her to tell you about what Bianca did to her.”
Upon hearing this, he recalled how scared she was when she'd visited his office to report Bianca for starving Elodre. He blew out heavily. “Don't worry, baby. I'd go check on her, okay?”
“Okay,” She smiled. “Thought you'd get mad at me for mentioning Jasmine.”
Cayden raised a brow and said, “Why did you think so, baby?”
“The first time I talked about it in our room you slapped me.” She said and he gasped.
His eyes widened. “You mean I slapped you?!”
“Yes,” She said softly.
He fixed his gaze on her cheeks. They were ruddy and full of marks. He could see the mark of his five fingers on her both cheeks. “Oh, darling…oh.” He scratched his head. “I'm so sorry, baby. I…I never meant to hit you, okay? Don't worry, I'm gonna take you to a spa for skin care, okay?” He pressed his lips against hers and kissed her passionately.

Weston had arrived at Jigyasa's apartment and had been knocking on the door mildly. Exhausted, he'd lost hope. She'd neither taken his calls nor opened up the door to him. Damn! He exhaled. All disappointed and sad, he turned to leave but the door creaked and opened and he turned back immediately. She looked strange to him. It's been like forever.
Jugyasa was as pale as a ghost and he could see the lines of dried tears on her cheeks. Her eyes were dim and lifeless and she’d trimmed down. “Diamond?” He gasped. “Oh, thank goodness you opened up! May I come in, please?” He asked softly. He was holding a small white envelope in his hand.
Without responding or even smiling, she opened the door wide and he walked in, unable to take his gaze off her…but she didn't seem to care much about him.
They both sat on a sofa, Jigyasa gazing in another direction. Gazing down at her, Weston was like a fish outta water. The room was thick with tension. He cleared his throat mildly and said, “Diamond, I brought something for you to check out. It's important. Here.” He gave her the envelope.
“D…do I have to read it now?” Her voice was broken, and she was finding it hard to look at him.
The pain in her voice sent chills down her spine. He noticed how she struggled to hold back her tears but they dropped.
Her hands visibly trembling, she slipped out a white neatly folded paper from the envelope. She unfolded the paper and read through it. When she gasped, a smile pulled Weston's lips. Her brows furrowed in confusion. She shot a surprised gaze at him, lips trembling. “W…Weston?”
He saw the oodles of questions in her emerald-green eyes and he shifted close to her and held her trembling hands. Pulling her gently to himself, he fondled her warmly and she buried her face in his shirt, weeping. Stroking her back he said softly, “I'm so sorry my diamond. I'm sorry. I…I never meant to hide things from you. Never, my love. I've always tried as much as I can to be honest with you. I can never cheat on you for any fuckin reason. It was just a misunderstanding between Elodre and me… but we're good now.”
Sniffling, she lifted her face and wiped her tears with her hands. “I'm sorry, Weston,” She quivered. “I…I should've trusted you. I…I sh…should have listened to you…”
“I know, my love,” He said. “It's not your fault, okay? I love you, Diamond.” He planted a kiss on her nose.
“I love you more, Weston,” She wept. “Th…thank you for giving me another chance.”
“I'm much more thankful to you than you're to me for letting me in once again.” He joined his head with hers and they shared an intimate emotional moment.
