Chapter 47

“Rhiannon, you have to get us out of here!” Mrs Clark shouted before she was dragged out of the room and the door was shut.

Rhiannon chuckled coldly as she was pleased with her first revenge.

Kaylee glanced at her mother as she walked into the prison cell and frowned. She could see that her mother was angry and not in the mood thus she wondered who really came to visit her.

After some seconds, she concluded that it had to be her father and the two had an argument. If she wasn’t mistaken, he had still refused to help them out of prison.

She wanted to ask her mother who it was but the latter ignored her at the same time, she heard.

“Miss, kindly come with us. You have a guest,” the warden said causing Kaylee to frown and glance at her mother.

She couldn’t understand why her father had to call them separately, after all, they didn’t have anything to hide.

Nonetheless, she walked out of the cell and stepped in front of one warden while the other walked in front of her.

If it were in the past, only one warden would go for the prison who had a guest but cause of the commotion Mrs Clark caused

They arrived at the guest room after a while and the warden opened the door for Kaylee. But before she was allowed to walk in, she was handcuffed so that she could not do anything to the guest.

She walked in but didn’t see her father. Instead, she saw a figure gazing outside through the window.

“Where is my father?” she asked one of the wardens while Rhiannon silently chuckled at her question.

The wardens frowned and looked at Kaylee with a displeased and impatient look.

“Your father?” they asked in confusion.

“Yes, isn’t he the one who visited Mother and I?” Kaylee asked.

The wardens shook their heads and threw her in the room.

Kaylee was displeased with that and vowed to take revenge on them.

‘They are just prison wardens and they think that they can treat me the way they want? I will teach them a lesson when I leave this place,” she said as she gritted her teeth without minding the person in the room.

“Hei you! My father sent you here to be our lawyer so that we can make sure we get out of here. Now, stand standing there and come here!” Kaylee said arrogantly causing the smile on Rhiannon to vanish and her face was covered with coldness.

Due to this, the room temperature started decreasing causing Kaylee to shiver. She wondered what was happening and wanted to shout to the warden outside to switch on the condition but was frightened when she saw the person whom she thought was sent by her father turn around.

Although she had not seen her face due to the poor lighting where Rhiannon was, Kaylee knew that it was someone she was familiar with.

“Why aren’t you shouting? Go on! Don’t you think that everyone is your servant?” Rhiannon said coldly as she walked towards the latter.

Seeing it was Rhiannon, Kaylee was both afraid and ashamed as she never wanted Rhiannon to see her at her worst moments.

“You! What are you doing here?” she asked in panic as she took steps backward afraid that Rhiannon might slap her once more.

“Oh, didn’t you say that I am your lawyer? Why are you running away? Shouldn’t you sit down and let us talk?” Rhiannon said mockingly causing Kaylee to clench her hands into fists.

“What are you doing here?” Kaylee asked arrogantly not doing as Rhiannon had instructed her to do.

To her, she would never listen to Rhiannon as she believed that Rhiannon should always be below her thus, she was the one who was supposed to command Rhiannon and not the other way round.

“Why I am here? How can you ask me that question when you were the one who requested to talk to me,” Rhiannon said as she took a seat not minding Kaylee standing if that was what she wanted to do.

“Yes, I said talking not you coming here!” Kaylee said as she panicked and lowered her head.

“Well, you never specified whether you wanted me to talk to me face to face or through the phone. How was I supposed to know what you wanted and I am not an angel?” Rhiannon asked as she played with her fingers. “Also, do you think that I would follow anything and everything you say or want? Who do you think you are to me? My master while I am the servant?”

Rhiannon was blinking innocently while she had a smile on her face but that was enough to make Kaylee burn with jealousy and at the same time, feel a chill running down her spine.

“Kaylee, I had thought that you would have learned your lesson by now since you have been here for a week but it seems that I was wrong. Maybe you stay here for a little longer,” Rhiannon said as she looked around.

Kaylee was fuming with anger the more she listened to Rhiannon.

“Rhiannon! You better not close the line! When I get out of here, I will make sure you pay for everything!” Kaylee said as she pointed at the smiling Rhiannon.

“You? What will you be able to do? You just have some small shares at your hands and I don’t think that dad is on your side like in the past as he feels so disappointed in you. He claimed that you are so selfish and it is high time he also becomes selfish in matters concerning you,” Rhiannon told her causing Kaylee to remain silent as she knew what Rhiannon was doing was true.

“Do you think that he would risk offending me, the company’s president over you? Why would he argue with me cause of some trivial matters and your jealousy and risk of losing his position? Do you think that after everything you’ve done, Dad will still blindly choose you? You got no one to back you! You even got nothing in your hands, now tell me, how will you make me regret it?” Rhiannon asked and raised her eyebrows as she stared at the latter.

Kaylee glared at Kaylee her eyes filled with hatred and killing intent but Rhiannon didn’t mind her at all.

“Kaylee, I hope that you are having a good time here and that you are getting used to life as you belong here!” Rhiannon said coldly as she stared at the latter.

“No! I don’t belong in this filthy place! I will be out very soon. You are the one who belongs here as you are cheap and no one cares about you! You are worthless and a low-life. A low-life should live here!” Kaylee said angrily and arrogantly as she sat opposite Rhiannon.

If it were in the past, her words would have affected Rhiannon but after everything, those words didn’t affect her anymore. Instead of crying or being affected, she smiled at Kaylee shocking the latter in the process.

After all, every time she told Rhiannon what she had just said, Rhiannon would start throwing a tantrum or even worse cry. Thus seeing that she wasn’t affected by her words, Kaylee was astonished and wondered when and why didn’t have her words have no impact on Rhiannon.

“Surprised?” Rhiannon asked mockingly causing the latter to glare at her.

“I was so stupid in the past that I would be affected when I heard those words but now, coming to think about it, you had always been speaking about yourself. I, a low-life? You are mistaken, after all, I am the Clark’s legitimate daughter while you are a bastard.” Rhiannon said softly but her eyes were so cold but at the same time calm as if nothing would happen in her life.

“Worthless? I am not! After all, I am the owner of the Clark’s Company and their president, you, on the other hand, are nothing! Just a worthless piece of shit!”

“As a bastard and a child of a mistress, you were born in the slums and those slums are so dirty and smelly even prison is a better place than there. Yet, you a mere bastard have the nervous to say that prison is a filthy place? I think that the place you grew up is the most filthy one,” Rhiannon added.

The more she said those words to Kaylee the more she felt relieved and relaxed.

“Cheap? Who slept with her sister’s fiancée? For benefits and to get everything in my hands, you got even give away your body. I am so sure that Aoron wasn’t the only man you’ve slept with. Cared for? What is the use of being cared for if those who you think care for you aren’t helping you? Your mother who loves you dearly and can do anything for you is in there with you while dad doesn’t want to even hear your name,” Rhiannon said with a mocking look.

“Why are you fuming upon hearing my words? I just analyzed your words, there is nothing new that I added in there,” Rhiannon said as she saw Kaylee’s furious face.

“This is where you belong and this is just the beginning. I will make your life so hard that you will even wish you were dead or had not tried to kill me! I will make sure you go through the same pain I went through. I will take everything you hold so dearly on. In short, I survived the fire just to make your life a living hell,” Rhiannon said coldly causing Kaylee to lower her head and shiver as she was afraid of the latter.

Just listening to Rhiannon’s words, Kaylee knew that she wouldn’t have a peaceful life and if she wasn’t careful, she would lose everything.

“I know that you called me here 'cause you wanted to order me to drop the charges and I won’t! I am not as easy to control as in the past. You are in here because you stole my belongings. If you want to get out of here, you can just return my family heirloom,” Rhiannon said.

That was one of the reasons she visited the latter apart from seeing how she was coping in there.

Hearing her words, Kaylee started laughing like a maniac.

“Hahaha. Do you want your family heirlooms? I will never hand them over to you! I will take everything that belongs to you and what isn’t pleasing to the eye, I will burn them,” Kaylee said causing Rhiannon to purse her lips.

“Seems you love fire, right? Be careful for it not to burn you one day. Karma is a bitch and for a murderer like you, you will die a very painful death,” Rhiannon said with a wicked smile and the aura around her turned to be murderous, dangerous, and oppressive that it made Kaylee’s face turn pale.

“Since you don’t want to return them to me then be ready to stay here for more days if not months or years. But be aware of something, the court session will be next week thus if you won’t have told me where the heirlooms are, I will make sure to continue with it,” Rhiannon told her.

“For a thief, he or she would be imprisoned for a minimum of five years thus make your decision wisely.”

Kaylee started panicking when she heard Rhiannon’s words. She remembered that her father had told them the same thing but at that time, she didn’t take any of his words seriously now listening to Rhiannon, Kaylee understood the situation and also that Rhiannon had been the one who pressed the charges, would make sure she was imprisoned for more than 5 years. How could she agree to that?

Seeing the conflict in Kaylee’s eyes, Rhiannon turned serious.

“You should make a decision very soon. After you do, tell the warden to tell me about it.”
