Chapter 154 Comparing Who Is More Shameless

Chapter 154 Comparing Who Is More Shameless

Samuel, who had been quietly standing by like a piece of furniture, suddenly stepped forward and pulled away the woman who was falling toward Joshua.

Quiana looked at the stern-faced Samuel in shock. She was both angry and furious, but what could she do when Samuel was Joshua's man?

Joshua's gaze swept coldly toward her.

"You should be grateful she hit you. Otherwise, you wouldn't even have the chance to speak right now." His icy voice seemed to freeze everything, making everyone present tremble with fear.

Quiana stared blankly at the man, not understanding what Joshua meant.

"Joshua, I..."

Joshua had no intention of paying her any more attention. Since Ava's hand was injured and it was inconvenient for her to serve herself, Joshua held the utensils and focused on watching which dish Ava's eyes landed on, serving her food.

Ava ate unhurriedly. The two of them completely ignored everyone else around them.

"Samuel, throw her out."

What?

Quiana looked at Joshua with panic and unease. Even though she didn't want to admit it, she knew that the person Joshua wanted thrown out was her.

What had she done wrong? Why should she be kicked out?

Quiana was unwilling to accept this. Such a great opportunity—how could she let it slip away?

"Joshua, did I say something wrong? Everything I said was true. If you don't believe me, you can check the surveillance footage." Quiana leaned closer to Joshua, speaking urgently.

Joshua frowned in disgust, and the cold air around him spread overwhelmingly. "Get away from me!"

Quiana was so frightened that she froze in place, not daring to move.

Samuel immediately stepped forward and pulled the eyesore Quiana away. "Miss, please show some self-respect."

"Joshua, I..."

Thea seized this opportunity and quickly stepped forward to grab Quiana's hand, saying helplessly, "Alright Quiana, stop making a scene. I already said I won't pursue this matter. If Ava and Timothy really have something going on, I... I don't want to deal with it anymore. Just let them be."

Ava calmly continued eating. She smiled slowly, completely ignoring them.

Meanwhile, Thea's seemingly meaningful explanation became nothing more than a joke.

These two people acted as if they were afraid others wouldn't know how in love they were.

Timothy's eyes darkened as his gaze fell on Thea's embarrassed face. He bit his back teeth and stepped forward to grab Thea's hand. "How long are you going to keep this up?"

"Samuel!"

Samuel immediately stepped forward, his tall frame blocking the two women. "Ladies, please leave. Don't make this uglier than it needs to be. It's not good for you."

Both women's faces looked terrible.

"Joshua..."

"Get out." Joshua snapped impatiently.

Thea bit her lip and could only leave with a dark expression.

She hadn't expected Joshua to trust Ava so much. She had thought this time she could deal Ava a heavy blow, but instead she ended up making a fool of herself.

Especially this idiot next to her—so incredibly stupid.

Seeing the drama finally end, Timothy sighed deeply and looked at Ava across from him, saying gently, "I'm sorry, I didn't expect this to happen."

Ava gave a slight smile, looking completely unbothered. "You don't need to apologize. Wasn't she coming after me anyway?"

Timothy's gaze paused slightly as he looked at Ava with some conflict, then was drawn to a cold glare shooting over from beside her.

The two men's eyes met, and an invisible tension immediately filled the air.

"Mr. Thomas, I don't recall inviting you."

"How much? I'll pay you." Joshua looked at him.

Although Joshua trusted Ava, that didn't mean he wasn't bothered by Timothy grabbing Ava's hand.

Timothy's lip twitched. "Shameless."

"Not as shameless as you."

Ava's lip twitched. Do you two need to go aside first and have a contest over who's more shameless?

Since Joshua was here and the two of them were being so lovey-dovey, Timothy couldn't stay any longer no matter what. He left with a dark expression.

Ava put down her utensils and sighed lightly.

"You two are really ridiculous." Isabella, who had been standing nearby, couldn't take it anymore.

Joshua glanced at her briefly. Regarding that incident, he still held a serious grudge. Joshua was vengeful!

"Why haven't you left yet?" Joshua peeled a shrimp and placed it in Ava's bowl, asking Isabella coldly.

"Hey, I rushed out to help you guys without hesitation just now. You can't just kick me out, right, Ava?" Isabella raised her eyebrows and gave Ava a look.

Ava smiled helplessly and nodded. "That's right."

"There's still so much food left. Why don't I eat some too?" As Isabella spoke, she unceremoniously sat down in the seat across from Ava.

Ava said, "Take your time, don't choke."

Joshua was speechless.

After finishing the meal, Ava looked at Joshua and asked, "Are you going back to the company? If you are, I'll just head home by myself."

"There's still some work at the company. I need to go back."

Ava nodded. "Then I'll head home first. Don't work too late."

"Okay, I'll have Samuel take you back."

Ava shook her head. "No need, Isabella's here. I'll just go back with Isabella."

Joshua's gaze swept coldly over Isabella, who had eaten her fill.

Isabella still had a piece of meat in her mouth. Scared by Joshua's cold, scrutinizing gaze, she almost swallowed the whole piece.

"...I can go back with Ava. Don't worry Joshua, I guarantee I'll get her home safe and sound."

Joshua made a sound of acknowledgment, which counted as agreement.

Joshua left first. Isabella linked arms with Ava and slowly walked out of the restaurant. "Joshua seems really busy. But even though he's so busy, he still came over and had dinner with you. Not bad, not bad. What's going on with you and Timothy though? Even I can tell he seems to have a thing for you."

Ava sighed helplessly about this. "His grandmother is my patient. After his grandmother recovered, Timothy became obsessed with taking me out to dinner."

"That's it?" Isabella had just imagined a whole elaborate storyline in her head.

"What else did you think?" Ava asked with a smile.
