Jealous
Jealous
Chapter Eighty
Lucian’s mind blanked for a second. It felt like someone pressed pause in his brain. He blinked, then blinked again to restart his brain. Bile rose up his throat as he realized what was happening and shoved the blond off him aggressively.
He swung his fist, connecting straight to Stefan’s jaw. The boy staggered back while Lucian wiped his lips aggressively. He felt sick to the stomach, his skin crawled, prickling like needles as the kiss replayed over and over in his head.
Stefan chuckled, brushing the blood off the corner of his lips with his thumb. Lucian watched him suck it off and his stomach turned upside down. He wanted to puke.
“Coffee,” Stefan shut his eyes, throwing his head back slightly as he savoured the taste on his lips. Those hazel eyes fluttered open. “Though I'm not sure if I'm tasting him…” his lips curled. “Or you, professor.”
“You’re sick,” Lucian muttered. He walked past him to the door and held it open. “Get out.”
“You’re so level-headed, professor,” Stefan chuckled. “I thought you’d be baring your fangs at me by now but you’re still doing nothing to stop me from leaving with him. You seem rather certain that nothing would happen.”
Lucian’s jaw tightened. The thin thread of self-control holding him back was on the verge of snapping. Stefan reached him in a few long strides. He stood in the doorway, staring smugly at Lucian.
“Aren’t you afraid I might do something to him?” Stefan taunted, “I could take him somewhere you can't reach and just… I don’t know, fuck him till you can’t stand the sight of him anymore?”
Lucian's expression went cold.
For one terrifying second, he couldn't hear anything except the pounding of his own heartbeat. Stefan's words echoed in his head, each one striking a raw nerve.
His hands curled into fists. He hated when they just casually talked about Artemis' body like it was the only thing special about him. There were so many beautiful parts of him. So many parts he wanted to uncover himself.
“You should know better than disrespecting him that way if you really like him. Besides, what he does with his body, who he gives it to, that is up to him to decide,” Lucian said stiffly.
“Is it, though?” Stefan smirked. “I highly doubt he’d get the chance to make a choice.”
Lucian’s eyes hardened. He knew Stefan was just rage-baiting him but it didn’t erase the possibility of him actually doing as he said. Lucian was about to say something when Artemis’ door opened.
Stefan’s angelic smile reappeared as he walked to Artemis’ door. Lucian’s gaze didn’t leave him once. He couldn’t tell who was more dangerous between Artemis and this man.
Artemis stepped out in jorts and a loose white sweater. Lucian’s eyes drifted to him as the scent of vanilla drew him in. His eyes wrecked though Artemis’ appearance and he couldn't help the ugly feeling in his chest.
White looked so good on him, especially with that curly jet black hair.
His eyes darted to Stefan who was shamelessly checking Artemis out. His fingers twitched, the urge to just gouge out those eyes crawled all over him.
Artemis was his. His. Not Stefan's.
The creep had no right to stare at him like that.
“You look good,” Stefan reached for his hand but Lucian moved quickly, cutting between them. He completely blocked Artemis from Stefan’s view. His blue eyes pierced icily into Artemis.
Those grey eyes widened in shock. “Professor…”
“You’re not going out with him,” Lucian said plainly.
“Hey, that’s not fair. I came all the way…” Stefan was protesting when Lucian spun around and in one fluid motion—swift, precise, almost effortless, his hand connected with Stefan’s neck artery.
Crack.
Stefan's eyes widened in shock.
The smug smile vanished from his face as his body went completely slack. His knees buckled beneath him, and he collapsed to the hardwood floor with a heavy thud, unconscious before he even hit the ground.
Silence swallowed the apartment.
Artemis froze, his mouth parting slightly as his gaze flickered from Stefan's motionless body to Lucian.
Lucian flexed his hand once before lowering it to his side. His face remained unreadable, but his voice was ice-cold.
"He assaulted me."
Artemis blinked, “huh?”
"He forced himself on me after you left. Kissed me out of the blue, saying he wanted to taste you like a fucking psychopath,” Lucian spat.
For a heartbeat, Artemis didn't move, then he looked back down at Stefan's unconscious body. His expression darkened.
"He kissed you?"
Lucian nodded once, still scrubbing at his lips with the back of his hand as though he could erase the feeling. “Yes. It was disgusting.”
Artemis was genuinely bothered by the situation. He reached for Lucian’s lips but the man moved back before he could touch him. Artemis frowned, retracting his hand but Lucian captured it.
“I need to scrub him off first with a toothbrush, then you can kiss me as much as you want,” Lucian told him. “I don’t want you accidentally tasting him. You’re mine.”
The possessiveness in Lucian’s tone made Artemis feel buttery inside. Lucian could be scary yet adorable when he was jealous.
“You didn’t knock him out because he kissed you, did you?” Artemis stepped towards Lucian cockily. “You couldn’t stand him staring at me.”
Lucian huffed, glancing away but Artemis didn’t stop teasing him. He wrapped his arms around the man’s waist.
“Jealousy looks so good on you, professor,” He teased, drawing back Lucian’s eyes to him. “Tell me, were you scared that he was going to fuck me until you couldn't bear to look at me?”
Lucian gulped. “You heard that?”
Then he cursed. Of course he did. The walls were very thin and Stefan wasn’t exactly whispering.
"I'm sorry, Art," Lucian apologized. "Should have punched him sooner."
