Chapter 24 His jealousy, Their Friendship, Her Shock
Riccardo didn't budge he just stood in the he kept his foot down with a guilty expression.
Catherine's angry expression turned dark, and she had the strong urge to throw up. She was about to yell at him when a voice cut her off.
"Catherine!" Miley yelled at her from a few feet away which immediately made her shut her mouth.
Miley being the peacemaker that she was stood between the siblings and looked at Catherine in disappointment.
"Catherine I know that your angry at your brother but that's just no way to speak to him. Especially in a place where people could see" She spoke, and raised a brow at her.
"Well, he should have left when I told him to" Catherine scoffed, before folding her arns.
"His is still your brother!" Miley said, and Catherine laughed dryly.
"Yeah well. He should have acted like one, but instead he left me to this cruel! " She yelled before walked back inside and slamming the door on Miley's face.
Miley was left speechless at her actions, and just threw her hands on the air. She turned to Riccardo who looked like he was at the verge of cry" So you want some juice "She asked with a raised brow.
Riccardo was about to decline" You know what I wasn't even asking. Come on"She cut him off before walking away.
Riccardo looked back at Catherine's door before sighing in defeat, and followed after the petite young girl who was just as intimidating as her father despite her size.
Catherine placed her right ear against the door, and listened to the sound of her brother's foot steps as he walked away. She waited until he was gone before finally sinking onto the ground.
She sniffed, and tried to blink back her tears, but they just kept coming out.
"Stupid bitch. Why are you crying?! " She snapped at herself softly.
Miley gave Riccardo a glass of orange juice before sitting on a bean bag next to him. She had forcefully made him sit on the beanbag saying something about crying if he didn't. So he had no choice but to comply.
" So, feeling any better now? "She asked with a grin plastered on her face which made Riccardo chuckled.
" Much. It's actually quite hard to stay upset when I'm in a room with suck positive energy "He said, and took a sip of the juice.
Miley chuckled" Actually. The real positive energy is Catherine, she's always been someone who lights up a dark room I just learnt from the best "She said before drinking her juice.
Riccardo smiled" Yeah, She's always been like that ever since she was young. Mom always used to call her Sunshine for a reason "He said.
Miley chuckled before her expression turned serious" You know she barely talked when she was younger? "Riccardo looked at Miley, a gllint of guilt in his eyes." I could still remember that day like it was yesterday. Twelve years old Catherine the new girl who could barely introduce herself without stumbling over her words" She chuckled before continuing.
"She ignored everyone that tried to talk to her, and didn't even looked at anyone in the face" Miley smirked "Well, I was always a curious kid when I was young so I talked to her. She ignored me every single time I asked something so I started following her everywhere. Bathroom, cafeteria, to every class" She shrugged " Well, because we had the same classes. Then I found out where she leaved, and I showed up to her home one Saturday and I got the reaction I was hoping cause she snapped at me. Started yelling at me to leave her alone and I started fake crying" She explained.
"So, I ran home while crying to guilt trap her into feeling sorry for me, and just like I had hoped she came to apologize to me, and I told that I would only forgive her if she became my friend, and we've been friends ever since. Took her a month to loosen up and after that she was her usual cheerful self " She said before sighing.
Riccardo listened closely with a light smile on his face" Sounds like it was a lot of fun "He said with a grin which made Miley giggle.
She shrugged and narrowed her eyes " The fact that I'm defending you from Cat doesn't mean I'm cool with you abandoning my best friend all those years ago "She glared at him.
Riccardo smiled" Yeah, I know "He muttered.
Miley tilted her head to the side" You wanna talk about it? "She asked her voice soft.
Riccardo was quiet for about a second before he shook his head in refusal.
Miley shrugged before sighing then stood up with her glass. She wasn't gonna push for answers if he didn't wanna talk about it then so be it.
" Alright then. How about I walk you out? Hmm?" She said with a smile.
Aleksei watched with her walk into her room with the stranger. His hands rolled into fists as he watched his baby doll sit so close to this man who dared try to take what was his. His eyes narrowed at his laptop as if it had offended him.
Who was that man? Her boyfriend? How dare she? She was his, and only his! Who ever dared to claim what was his was bound to face death by his hand.
He dialed Travis who answered on the first ring "Boss" Travis spoke in a neutral tone.
"Find out everything about the man who was with her" He said before hanging up.
Miley walked back to her room and paused at the door when she found Catherine inside but she as more suprised with the stuff surrounding her then the actual person in her room.
She walked in with wide eyes and looked around. She wasn't sure if she was dreaming or if this was reality.
"What in the actual fuck" She whispered, and looked at Catherine in shock.
