Aleksei was caught of guard by her reaction. He had spotted her from a distance, and had the impulsive urge to get her attention, but clearly she wasn't as pleases to see him as he was. And, judging from the gold courts size bags under her eyes, her attitude was valid.

"Woah!" His eyes moved swiftly to the voice. A young woman with dark brown, and green eyes stood behind Miley with her mouth slightly a jar.

Aleksei looked away from the her, and looked back at the Miley who was glaring daggers at me.

He smiled "Miss Blackwell. Good morning...." Miley cuts him off with scoff l.

"What's good about this morning? I being harassed left, and right. Forced to wake up only after getting less than three hours, and then the only thing that was preventing me from punching someone in the face got wasted on the goddamn ground!!" She yelled with her finger pointed at the ground.

Catherine gasped" Miley!! " She said to try to stop her for saying more but got glare from the girl she was trying to shut.

Miley snapped her attention back Aleksei who had to fight the urge to chuckle at her expression that said 'It's not to be nice it's to show that I can strangle you. Even if you're bigger than me'

"So, Mr. Petrov. How may help you? Are you lost?" She asked with not even a hint of politeness in her tone.

"No, I..."

"Okay, good" Miley walked past his, and didn't even wait to listen to what he had to say.

Aleksei turned and watched her retreating figure in complete amusement.

Catherine bit her Lowe lip, and decided to say something "Sorry about the that. She can get a bit lean when she's tired" She said, and Aleksei who wasn't even paying attention to her just waves her off.

Catherine fought the urge to scowl, and rushed after Miley.

Aleksei watched the two friends bicker, and something. His chest felt warm, and light. She knew about the power she held in the institution but still had the guys to snap at him.

He had an idea she never likes him from her reaction hwn they first meeting, but looks like exhaustion made to hid her thoughts about him. Not, that he was hurt about it or anything.

He had all the time in the world to win her heart, and he was definitely gonna enjoy it.

The sound of his phone ringing pulled him out of his thoughts, and he fished it out of his inner pocket. He pressed it against his ear, and continued.

" Done" His right-hand man said, and Aleksei smirked.

"No seriously! How could you talk to him like that? Do you have any idea about the power that guy has in this school?" Catherine snapped at Miley, and closed the door.

Miley scoffed and sat on her bed before taking of her sandels. She reached for sneakers, and put the on before fixing her hair in front of the mirror.

" Mily! "Catherine snapped which only made Miley even more irritated.

" Cat look. My dad was shot yesterday at work, I barely got any sleep last night, and I'm hungry. So, if that two faced man got offended by what I said then he can go fuck himself. I wouldn't care even if he was the president of the world" She spat, and grabbed her favorite blue hoodie on the bed before turning back to Catherine.

"Now if you would excuse I would like to go see my dad, his getting discharged today" She said, and walked out the door leaving a very bewildered Catherine behind.

Teddy sat on the edge of his hospital bed, and spoke on the phone with Karen. He was now dress in grey track pants, and a black long sleeved shirt.

"I still think it's a bad idea for you to come to work tomorrow. You should be staying at homw for at least a week so you can recover. The captain permitted" She said, and Teddy sighed.

" If I rest so does the case. I can't possibly be staying at home while the person who is responsible for the murder of three and twenty people goes scot free. This guy needs to be found so he can face the law" He said.

Karen chuckled "Can't believe that you're believe you're so hard to arrest the person who put down the biggest pest in the city" She said, and the sound of chatter was heard from the background.

"Pest or not. Nobody deserves that kind of death, and it's our jobs as the city's protects to ensure that everyone is save. Even the city's assholes" He stated, which made Karen sighed.

There was a knock at his door, and the door opened, and a smiling Miley walked into with a small paperbag.

"Yeah, I guess you're right. Though I still think that a break is still a good idea. I'll have to speak to the captain to make sure that you do rest, even if we have to force you " She said.

Miley dropped the paperbag on the nightstand, and sat on the chair near the bed, and watched him speak on the phone.

" Yeah, good luck with that. Listen, I'll speak to you later I start preparing to leave "He said.

" Alright" She replied before hanging up.

Teddy dropped his phone on the bed, and smiled at his daughter. "You really came" He said which made Miley scoff.

"Since when have I ever broken a promise." She said, and rose from the chair before grabbing her father's backpack on the bed.
"I brought you a cheese burger, and fries for incase you're hungry" She pointed at the paperbag which Teddy reached for with a grin.

Miley unzipped the bag, and started checking if he had gotten all of his stuff.

"So, where's mom?" She asked, and zipped up the bag.

Teddy took a large bite of the bag"So, said that she wasn't gonna make since once of her witnesses for one of cases was attacked" He replied, and Miley sighed.

"All gonna be busy. Though I don't blame her running a law firm isn't a joke" She muttered which made Teddy raise a brow.

"How would you know how hard running a firm is?" He asked, and took another bite of his burger.

"Remember in high school when I had to spend a week with her ? " She asked, and dropped the backpack on his chair.

Teddy chuckled "Yeah, how could I forget it? You got suspended for helping a bunch of your classmates cheat on a test" He opened a bottle of water and drank half of it before dropping in on the nightstand.

" Mom was so pissed that she confiscated my phone for three weeks straight" Miley huffed which made her father laugh.

"You were always a troublemaker when you were younger" He slid of the bed, and straightened up. "I'm gonna use the bathroom real quick" He said, and walked away.

Miley reached for the fries and started munch on them. She started to hum a tune when she mistakenly dropped the bottleof water on the floor she cursed, and bent to pick it up when she noticed a piece of paper on the floor.

She frowned, and reached for it, and stood up with the water bottle. She opened the note, and read it.

"I hope you liked my little gift, A.P" She read, and raised a brow "A.P?" She muttered the initial.
