Bonus Zac - And now I would have to bear the consequences

**Zac point of view**

When Cassy turned her back on me and headed for the stairs, I wanted to run after her, but Mandy grabbed my arm, stopping me from going after my girlfriend. But it wasn't really her who stopped me, it was my mother who entered my field of vision, giving me a scolding look that embarrassed me.

“What happened here?” my mother asked, looking at me coldly.

“Zac finally woke up and realized that I was the woman of his life,” says Mandy, and I feel like telling her to fuck off.

“My son,” she began, ”how could you dare to do that? With Cassy?” my mother's voice was sharp, full of disappointment. At that moment I felt ashamed of what I had done.

“Mom, I'm sorry...” I said quietly and she shook her head in denial.

“It's not me you owe an apology to, Zac,” she focuses her gaze on the blonde next to me ”I want that girl out of my house. Now.” she says and Mandy laughs.

“That's for Z to decide.” the blonde next to me replies, and just hearing her voice at that moment, but before I could take any irrational action, I see my mother raise her hand to grab Mandy by the hair, and she's off pulling her down the stairs.

“Oh, let go of me, you old woman.” Mandy tries to break free of my mother's grip, but it's practically impossible. I follow them both and see as the door is opened, and my ex is thrown outside with only the sheet still on her body.

“Respect me, girl, and never again,” says Mom, ”Never again come near my son.” Mandy gives her a hateful look and gets up, tightening the sheet around her body.

“That's what you think, Hadija, I love him and I'll never walk away from him,” she says to my mother.

“I'm just giving you a warning, if I see you in my house again, and I don't do anything, I won't be called Hadija.” It was the first time I'd seen my mother act like that towards someone, and I was surprised by it.

“You'd think so,” the blonde laughed scornfully "You don't even control your stupid husband who's always traveling, and you don't know anything about your damn daughters, who are in boarding school, you old fool." My mother went down the two small steps at the entrance to our house, and stopped face to face with Mandy, who was holding her pose firmly.

“Oh dear, how can someone as beautiful as you be so bitter,” she began, "That's why no one wants you around, they only tolerate you out of pity, out of pain, because they know how painful it was when your father left you and your mother for a normal family, for mentally stabilized people." And that was the first time in years that I had seen Mandy take a step back, as if she had been stabbed in the back.

“You don't know what you're talking about,” says my ex, and Mom smiles. Who was that woman, and what had she done to my mother?

“Oh, I know. And as I know, Amanda,” she says, ”Your mistake was hurting my son, and doing what you did to Cassy. I used to like you two together, but now, if there's one person I can't stand, it's you and your presence. And if I have to, I'll file a lawsuit and you'll never come near my family again.” says Mom.

“You wouldn't do that,” she says.

“Then test me, just do it,” says my mother, turning away to go back into the house.

“You bastard, I'm going to finish you off and...” Mandy doesn't even have time to finish, because in the next instant my mother turns to her and slaps her hard across the face, making her shut up instantly.

“Stay away from Zac, away from Cassy and my family.” And so Hadija, my mother, enters our house.

“My clothes.” That's all Mandy says, I take a few seconds to look at her and then go up to my room, grabbing her dress so I can hand it to her.

“Here,” she takes the clothes and doesn't look at me. ‘Do you want me to call you a cab?’ I ask and she says no.

“Don't worry about me, I can take care of myself,” says Mandy.

“I see,” I mutter, and this time her gaze is sharp in my direction.

“Fuck you Zac, you fucking asshole!” she says and walks off, leaving me completely alone.

When I go into the house, my mother is sitting on the sofa with her face hidden in her hands. I don't know what she thinks of me, whether she'll stand by me or swear at me. I honestly don't know what to expect from her, not after seeing a side of her that I never knew existed.

“Mom,” I call her, "I love Cassy." I say, and she laughs, still not looking at me, but then fixes her posture on the sofa and crosses her arms.

“Really?” I nod "If you loved her, you wouldn't have done what you did." she says, sounding dry.

“I'm sorry,” I say to her, "I'm very sorry." I try to be as sincere as possible in my words.

“That's no good, Zac, you had a girlfriend who was there for you from the start,” says my mother, "But from the start, you were always stupid with her," I frown without understanding “Don't give me that look, because I know what you're like. I've watched your relationship with Mandy fail, and when you were with Cassy, you were rude to her at times, too possessive.” I swallow as I remember a moment when my mother took me away from Cassy, when she was trying to leave after a fight.

“I never wanted to be like this,” I say to her.

“And you weren't like that, this sick way of yours only started after you met that girl,” she says "How could I have been so blind and allowed you to be together my son," she sighs "Mandy's family was never normal, it was always problematic and when you brought her into your life, you became the same way, and everything only got worse when she left you." she adds.

Hearing those words brought back memories of years ago, from the first moment I met Mandy, and how I became addicted to her and couldn't even keep her away from me. I remembered the good times, but the bad ones filled me at that moment, the fights with verbal curses, the shoving, the reconciliations that only happened in bed, or wherever we felt like it. Mandy and I had always been intense, too intense in everything we did and I confess that I loved it, I loved that bubble of ours. But when she left, the bubble burst, my world became meaningless, and all I wanted more than anything was to fill the emptiness that plagued me the whole time I was alone, until Cassy came along and stirred something inside me. My feelings for her were sincere, but the scars I carry with me were stronger and hearing my mother say it out loud shows me how bad I was.

“Now I just need Cassy, I'm going to make amends with her, mom, I'm going to tell her everything and be honest with her,” I say and she smiles sideways.

“And you think she'll forgive you?” she asks.

“She will, I told her I love her,” I said angrily.

“And yet you still had the nerve to cheat on her with your bloody ex, who abandoned you like a dog.” she says and I stand up.

“You don't have to keep throwing that in my face,” I say and she gets up too, facing me.

“I'm not playing games Zac, you're a big boy and you already know what's right and wrong,” she says ”I can't do anything to help you, and when your father finds out, because I'm going to tell him everything, I hope you can convince him, because if not, this time he'll throw you out of this house. He can't stand you acting like this any longer, we're both tired of it, really, son,” she says and my heart races.

“Mom, please don't say anything to him,” I beg. "Let me deal with Cassy first," I say and she denies it.

“I can't cover for you anymore Zac, what you did was serious and under our roof. And to begin with, between your father and me, there are no lies or secrets.” Mum says and leaves me alone in the living room, my thoughts are racing, I don't know what to do, I don't know what the fuck I've done by giving in to that bastard!

Ah, but who am I kidding? I've always felt horny for Mandy, I've always had an uncontrollable desire for her. I was sure that if I saw her one day, I wouldn't want anything more to do with that bitch, because I hated her so much for what she had done to me, but the day she showed up, it was as if everything bad I felt about her hadn't even existed. When I saw her, I felt my body calling for hers and I wanted her, but when I looked at Cassy, my mind scolded me and put all the pain and anger I went through for Mandy back into me, and that's how even though I wanted her, I managed to stay away, until today.

And now I would have to bear the consequences.
