Chapter 246 I think I was wrong
"You?" I asked her, and at that moment, William's guards arrived as well. They got their human forms, and after they put their underwear on, they held Eve. I turned my head to see the other, but he was held by the guards as well. He was still unconscious. As they removed the cover, his face was relieved. It was Graham.
"Asher, please don't let them do this to me! I had no choice." Eve cried, but I couldn't care less. I only had a meaningful look at her, then I turned to the guards.
"Where do you take them?"
"We take them back to the Red Moon Pack, and we get them into the prison straight away." I nodded, and I tried to ignore Eve, who was crying out of her mind. I didn't feel sorry for her, not even a bit.
Another gamma arrived with a car, and they put Eve and Graham in it. They shook hands with me, and they left. I rushed back to the car to see another car in there. That was the ambulance car of the Green Community.
I ran there.
When I arrived, I moved inside the car as well. Aiden laid there unconscious, and Walter examined him with worry.
"What happened to him?" I asked, and Olivia looked at me. She was apparently terrified, so I held her close.
"It seems like he got a shot of wolfsbane, but fortunately, he isn't injured. I gave him a nettle shot. That will help his body to neutralise the wolfsbane faster." He said.
Olivia leaned her head on my shoulder, and I held her tighter.
I still could recall the feeling of getting that sh*t into my body, and I felt sorry for Aiden to experience that feeling. I only hoped that his senses were awake enough to know that we were next to him, and he was safe.
I leaned closer, and even though they apparently didn't understand what I was trying to do, they let me get closer to him.
"Aiden. Don't be afraid. We are here with you. We are taking you to the hospital, and you will be fine."
I told him, hoping that he could hear me, and that would calm him down.
After I sat back next to Olivia, Walter told the driver that he can drive to the hospital, and he closed the doors.
The way wasn't too long, and even if I didn't trust Walter, we ended up at the hospital. We took Aiden out, and we took him inside.
Irene waited there already. Apparently, she was crying a lot.
"What happened to him?" She asked in fear, but Olivia shook her head.
"Fortunately, he just got a shot of wolfsbane. Asher caught them in time."
Irene just covered her face, and she cried quietly.
"Irene, get yourself together and help me." Walter asked her in a tone that maybe was a little harsh, but Irene stood up immediately, and she whipped her tears.
We stayed inside the room while Walter examined Aiden. I watched everything that he did while I held Olivia, but what really took me aback was the worry that seemed to be honest on his face.
He was so thorough, he even checked unnecessary things as well.
Finally, when he finished, he made Aiden comfortable, and he covered him. He watched him for a moment, and finally he sighed.
"I think he will be fine. It is only the pain he will need to take. I gave him some painkillers, but we know a little about his body. I don't want to give him something that he can't take or harm him."
He said.
"Thank you, Walter." Olivia told him, while she moved out of my embrace, and she walked to his bed.
Walter watched the scene for a moment, then he turned to Olivia.
"I leave you some privacy." He said, then he turned to me.
"Asher, I think I should check on you as well."
I frowned.
"I am fine."
"Maybe you feel fine, but I think an x-ray could tell us the truth."
"Asher, please." Olivia looked at me. She was begging me with her eyes, and I didn't want to hurt her more. I nodded, and I followed Walter.
We walked to the x-ray room, and he helped me to lie on the bed. He said nothing to me, he just left the room, and I heard the machine take the pictures.
He returned soon, and he helped me to turn on my side, then he disappeared again. Finally, he helped me to get up, and he handed me new crutches.
I followed him out. He led me to his office, and he put the pictures on the wall.
"I think I don't need to explain these," he said, and he moved to sit down.
I watched the pictures with a frown. That was the first time I saw what Harry did to me. My bones looked horrible. They were literally kept together with metal clasps. When I watched the pictures, I got one thing on my mind. It probably took him hours to do this to me.
I felt him walking close to me again.
"Asher, let me tell you something. That was hundreds of years ago, when I was in love with Olivia. I don't deny that I was excited when she appeared here, asking me to help her. I even thought about maybe we could get back together, but when she got pregnant, I understood how much she loved you." he sighed again. "I got used to them being close to me, making my lonely life to be likeable again. But that was all. I don't deny either that I got to love Aiden as well, and I would love to play the role of his father, but he always longed for you." He smiled. "And I respect their decision."
I only stared at him, but he didn't finish yet. "And please do not degrade me. I would rather throw my immortal life away, then betray this community or do harm. In my long life, I harmed no one, and I am not intending to change it."
I stared at him again, then I nodded. The way he said these things made me believe him, but I think my thoughts changed really when I watched him treating my son.
"Get back to Olivia and Aiden. They probably need you." He said with a smile, and I nodded at him before I left the room.
