Awkward morning
Chapter 75: Awkward morning
Louis's pov
I woke early in the morning to the sound of birds chirping outside my window. The sun's rays were just beginning to peek through the curtains. I rolled over in bed and stretched, feeling a sense of peacefulness and contentment. I decided to start my day off with a run. I slipped on my running shoes and grabbed my headphones. I opened the front door, and the cool morning air hit my face. I took a deep breath and began to run.
As I jogged down the driveway of the mansion, I saw a few of the servants tending to the grounds. They bowed and greeted me as I pass, but I kept my head down and continued running. I had a lot on my mind, and I needed to clear my head. The rhythm of my footsteps and the sound of my breath was all I focused on. I felt my worries melting away with each step
I ran for what felt like hours, and I found myself deep in the woods. The sunlight was shining through the trees, and I could hear the rustling of the leaves. The scent of pine and fresh air was invigorating. I let my mind wander, enjoying the feeling of being in the moment. I kept running, letting my legs carry me wherever they wanted to go. My thoughts drifted.
After a while, I came to a clearing, and I decided to take a break. I sat down on a large rock and closed my eyes. I focused on my breathing, letting the sound of the birds and the rustling leaves fill my ears. I let my body and mind relax, and I felt a sense of contentment wash over me. In that moment, I felt at peace.
As I tried to make sense of Brad's behavior, I found myself becoming increasingly frustrated. I knew that there was something more to the story, but I couldn't figure out what it was. It was as if there was a missing piece of the puzzle, and I couldn't find it no matter how hard I looked. It was maddening. I felt like I was going in circles, unable to make any progress. I decided to take a break and clear my head.
I raced back to the park house, the ground passing by in a blur. I ran as fast as my legs could carry me, my breath coming in quick gasps. The wind whipped my hair around my face, but I didn't slow down. I had to get back to the house, had to figure out what was going on. My mind was racing, full of questions and doubts. When I finally reached the park house, I stumbled to a stop, my legs shaking from the exertion. I was out of breath, but my mind was still racing
I started up the stairs, the cool marble feeling smooth under my feet. The air was still, and I could hear the sound of my steps echoing through the hallway. The sun was shining through the windows, casting long shadows on the floor. As I reached the top of the stairs, I turned left and made my way to my room.
I made my way to the bathroom, the floor cool and slick beneath my feet. The bathroom was large and airy, with a big, freestanding bathtub in the center. The walls were covered in tiles, and the light was soft and warm. I went to the sink and brushed my teeth, the minty taste refreshing and clean. I then turned on the shower, the water warming up quickly. I stepped inside, feeling the water washing away the stress of the day.
The water flowed over my skin, warm and soothing. The steam rose around me, enveloping me in a cloud of comfort. I closed my eyes and let the water run over my body, my mind drifting away. I felt myself relax, my muscles unclenching, my thoughts settling down. I stood there, letting the water wash over me, and I felt like I could finally breathe. I took a deep breath, and for the first time all day, I felt truly at peace
I wrapped a towel around my body, feeling the softness against my skin. I walked over to the vanity and grabbed my hairbrush. I ran the brush through my hair, feeling the gentle tugging on my scalp. I stood there for a moment, enjoying the simple pleasure of the routine. Then, I opened my wardrobe and looked at my clothes. What should I wear? I thought to myself. I surveyed my options, trying to find the right outfit for the day.
I grabbed a pair of black jeans and a black T-shirt from my wardrobe. I put them on, and then I looked at myself in the mirror. I felt comfortable and relaxed in my outfit. I made my way to the dining room, where the smell of fresh coffee and warm toast greeted me. I took a deep breath, feeling my stomach rumble in anticipation.
As Kayla came down the stairs, I felt my heart rate increase. I didn't know what to expect. Kayla walked over to the dining table and sat down across from me and Jojo, Beck and Kevin followed her. She looked at me, her expression unreadable. I took a deep breath, trying to stay calm. "Kayla," I called. "How are you feeling this morning" I said
Kayla didn't say anything, and the silence in the room was stifling. I could feel the tension in the air, and I was desperate to break the silence. But I didn't want to cause a scene, not with my kids here. So I picked up my fork and began to eat my food, trying to act as normal as possible. I could feel Kayla's eyes on me, but I refused to look up
