Chapter 73: Cold and bright night

Louis pov

"You think so?" Brad said, and then I saw men coming out from a door, they weren't from my pack so I guessed that they are from Conrad's pack

"You can't find them all alone," Brad said

"Brad! You're weak and why can't you accept it" I said and for the first time since we started this conversation, his mood changed

"You don't know anything Louis, you're so dumb and it's good that you'll feel that same weakness today," I said and some men untied Kayla

"Don't touch her" I said and then Brad threw a blow at her and I ran to Brad and hit him, I am stronger than him and I hated that had to fight a few times

"Don't you dare?" I said as I threw another blow and he struggled but he couldn't match up with my strength because after our last fight where I was sure that he was dead but surprisingly he didn't die but he became very weak

Brad touched his face and smiled as he saw the blood on his face and I got up from him and turned around, they were all fighting, my men were already here and I scanned the room for Kayla but she wasn't there.

"Damn! You distracted me" I said and ran out of the door following her scent and Brad trailed behind me

"No matter how hard you try, you'll lose this time," Brad said

"Why are you acting like this, Brad," I said and turned to him

"I enjoy seeing you in misery" He replied and I stood on the spot, I knew I was going in the wrong direction and Brad ran behind me to make me believe that I'm on the right track

"Where is she," I asked

"What will you gain," I asked, I walked closer to him losing my temper,

"Speak up," I said and threw a blow at him and he fell to the ground

"Do you think throwing blows at me will solve anything?" He said she burst into laughter

"The truth is I don't want to throne, I only wanted it because you had it but for the past few days I thought about it carefully and I realized that I don't need it for anything at all," Brad said and he coughed, he coughed out blood

"I just want to see you in pain, I want to see you in so pain Louis, you always got everything and you still have everything and I when you have a mate, I found a way to make you lose the world by losing one person," Brad said and I threw another blow at him, I was so furious but then I sensed someone's presence and I immediately turned to the direction

I saw Kayla, she looked on unharmed and I rushed to her

"Don't touch me, I don't want those hands to touch me" she said and I turned to Brad who got up from the ground with a faint smile on his face

"What happened Kayla, what did tell you, Brad is a liar and they are all liars," I said but Kayla wasn't ready to listen to anything that I had to say

I turned to where Brad was a few minutes ago and I could no longer spot him and I followed Kayla. The fight was over and none of Brad's men were here

"Luna, I'm glad you're safe," Ethan said and bowed his head Kayla hit her leg on a stone and was about to fall but luckily Ethan caught her, she looked tired abs weak, all she needs was rest

I hurried to them and was about to carry her but she refused

"I said don't touch me" She repeated and I walked backward, I didn't know what was wrong but Ethan was wounded and still he bent down and Kayla claimed into his back and he carried her until we got to the pack. Deep down I wished she was in my bag, I didn't know what Brad said to her and it bothers me

"Kayla, if there's anything Brad said to you, please tell me, Brad is a liar," I said as we got to the pack house

"Louis, I'm really tired, and hearing you talk is making me more exhausted, can you please be quiet," She said, her words piercing through my soul, I forgot to breathe for a moment and I couldn't say a word and I just nodded my head. She got down from Ethan's back and made her way to her room and I scoffed

"It's nothing to take personally, I understand how you may feel but she'll come around," Ethan said I nodded my head and made my way to my children's room, I noticed that Ethan was following me and I turned to him

"You can go and rest, I'm fine," I said and I noticed that he was about to protest

"No, don't say anything Ethan, I know you're tired," I said and I noticed a smile appear on Ethan's face

"Okay," He said

"Have a good night" He added and turned and walked down the hallway and I just watched him until he made a turn. I walked to my children's room and I opened the door, I saw my mother sitting by Jojo's bedside, my children were asleep and my mother stood up from where she sat as soon as she saw me walk into the room

"Where is Kayla," she asked

"She's fine, she's in her room now," I said

"Okay, is she hurt," She asked

"No, she's fine, you can go and sleep and now, everything is fine," I said but deep down, I knew that Brad was up to something, he didn't hurt any of us, but I knew something was wrong and I needed to find out, I walked out the room and made my way to the dungeon, it was a cold and bright night
