Louis's pov

"Do not mind my manners, Alpha Louis" He said but that's his problem

"It's fine," I said and ran out deeper into the woods without waiting to hear any response from the man

My heart was racing fast and all I wanted to do right now was to see Kayla's face, it would have been easier for me to trace her if I had marked her and if we were close but I haven't marked her yet and now It's not easy for me to track her

"I swear, I'll reap those throats out of their body if I catch them," I said as I stood on a spot, we were already in our human form, our clothes were thorn and our chests were dirty

As we got closer to the park, I could feel Kayla's presence

"She's somewhere around" I turned to Ethan and say and he nodded his head

"I could scent her," I said out loud, she always scents like roses and I could help but close my eyes and tried to feel her some more

"Don't you think this is a trap" I heard Ethan say and I turned around to face him

"It feels too easy" He added and he was right, normally they'll try to hide her scent but they weren't trying,

"They knew I'll come and I guess they already know that we're here," I said and scoffed, I didn't care if it was a trap or not but I wasn't going to leave here without Kayla. Beck, Jojo, and Kevin are worried sick about her and so is everyone back at the park house

"Yes, I'm thinking the same thing but we can never be so sure," Ethan said and I nodded in agreement

I exhale sharply and I traced her scent and then suddenly, I couldn't scent her anymore, it felt weird and for a second I felt lost, it was dark and late at night but the moonlight shone on the grasses in the field

"I can't scent her anymore" I whisper and I was sure that Ethan heard me.

I felt frustrated and I used my fist to hit the tree next to me, I exhale sharply and turned to Ethan

"We're not leaving here without her," I said and I looked around for any sign but there was none

"Alpha, come and see this," Ethan said and I immediately made my way closer to him

"What's that," I asked eager to know if it has anything to do with Kayla

"It's a part of your mate's dress and it was reaped," Ethan paused

"She was here and it seems like she was struggling" He added, his words didn't comfort me or give me any hope at all, I felt worst learning that she was struggling and how bad she would be treated right now

I picked the piece of her dress up from the ground and scent it, it smells like human blood and my chest jumped out from my chest knowing that this must be Kayla's blood

I noticed that the scent from her clothes was another scent lingering and a smile appeared on my Goddess

"The noon goddess always has a way of guiding us," I said and sighed

"They hide her scent but not their scents and I can follow the scent of the other person that was with her, it must be the thug who carried her," I said and Ethan nodded

I followed the scent down to an empty garage in the pack, the security in the pack wasn't tight so it was so easy for me and Ethan to get in

"This doesn't feel right," I said and Ethan was thinking the same thing, it felt too easy and for some reason, I had a feeling that we are being watched

"Got it!" Ethan said as soon and he reaped out of the arms of the bird that has been following us

"I'm not sure they know we're here, this bird was sent to watch if anyone came by and then report to them, but I guess there's no news for them," I said with a smirk on my face

We walked past the garage following the scent, I noticed that I could scent Kayla again but it was obvious that it was just a distraction. And get scent was all over the garage but as we peeped into the garage it looked empty

"This is all a setup to trap you," Ethan said and I agreed, I followed the man's scent and it lead us deeper into the woods, everywhere was quiet and we had to find Kayla fast because it was almost dawn

We could finally spot a small old house from a distance and that's where I could scent the boy from

"She's in there," I said, I couldn't scent her, but I was convinced that she'll be there, he sprayed a gas that could help us hide our scent so that they wouldn't feel our presence

We tiptoed and got closer to the house, it was a really old house that hasn't been used for years, it smells of dust and it looked like an abandoned project

We couldn't figure out how to get in, we stood there unsure of what to do and we had no intention of saying anything so that I'll voice wouldn't be heard

I heard the door of the room open and I could hear the footsteps of two men, one seemed elegant and calculated, I immediately knew that it was the Alpha of this pack

"Alpha Conrad" I whispered, we were never friends and I hated him so much

"Has the girl said anything yet" I heard a familiar voice say and I immediately turned to Ethan the look on his face told me that he was thinking exactly what I'm thinking

That's my step-brother, Brad, he still hasn't given up and now that he is weak, he is still trying, I felt so furious
