My mate

: My mate

Louis's pov

"I'm sorry," the elder said, his voice shaking. "I didn't mean for any of this to happen. I was desperate, and I didn't know what else to do." I stared at him, trying to process what he was saying. I felt a mix of anger and sadness, and I wasn't sure what to do. "You betrayed me," I said, my voice low and dangerous. "You betrayed everything we stood for. You betrayed the pack." The elder looked at me, his eyes full of regret. "I know," he said, his voice hoarse. "I'm so sorry."

"Where is Kayla?" I demanded, my voice rising in volume. "Where are they keeping her?" The elder looked down, his eyes avoiding mine. "I can't tell you," he said, his voice barely audible. "I'm sorry." I felt a surge of anger, and I took a step towards him. "Tell me," I said, my voice low and threatening. "Or I will make you pay for what you've done." The elder looked up at me, his eyes full of fear. "I can't," he said, his voice shaking.

"Who else is involved?" I asked, my voice shaking with anger. "Who else knows about this?" The elder hesitated, and then he spoke in a low voice. "I can't tell you," he said, his eyes pleading with me. "I'm sorry." My better looked at me, waiting for instructions. I was furious, but I knew that I couldn't lose control. I needed to stay calm and focused if I was going to get the information I needed. "I need to know who else is involved."

"I understand," the elder said, his voice quivering. "But I can't betray them. They would kill me if they knew I had told you." I took a deep breath, trying to stay calm. "If you don't tell me, I'll have no choice but to torture you until you talk," I said, my voice low and even. "I don't want to do that, but I have to find Kayla. She's my mate, and I will do whatever it takes to find her." The elder closed his eyes, and I could see the fear and pain in his face. "Please,"

"I need more information," I said to my beta, my voice urgent. "I need you to increase the pressure. I need him to talk." My beta nodded, and I could see the determination in his eyes. "I will do as you ask," he said, his voice steady. "I will make him talk." I nodded, and then I turned to the elder. "You have one chance to tell me what I want to know," I said, my voice cold and hard. "If you don't, I will kill you." The elder's eyes widened, and he looked like he was about to faint.

The elder looked at me, his eyes filled with fear and despair. Then, he collapsed to the floor, unconscious. I was filled with a mix of emotions - anger, frustration, and fear. I had been so close to finding Kayla, but now it felt like I was back at square one. I slammed my fist into the wall, the anger welling up inside me. I knew that I had to find a way to get the information I needed, but I was at a loss as to how to do it. I had to think of something, and fast.

As I paced the room, trying to think of a way to find Kayla, my beta approached me. "There may be another way," he said, his voice soft. I turned to him, hope rising in my chest. "What do you mean?" I asked, my voice desperate. "There is someone who might be able to help us," my beta said. "But I'm not sure if we can trust them." I hesitated, not sure if I could take the risk. But I had to do something. "Tell me about this person," I said.

"The person I'm talking about is your stepbrother, Brad" my beta said, his eyes fixed on me. I felt my heart sink. I hadn't spoken to Brad for some time now, and we were not on good terms. "I know that you have your differences," my beta said, his voice gentle. "But I think he's our best chance to find Kayla." I hesitated, my mind racing. "I don't know if I can trust him," I said, my voice full of doubt.

I stood there, conflicted. I knew that I needed to find Kayla, but I wasn't sure if I could bring myself to ask for help from my stepbrother. After a few minutes of indecision, I decided to wait for the elder to wake up. I needed to know more about the situation before I made a decision. As I waited, my thoughts raced, and I tried to think of a plan. I knew that time was of the essence, and I needed to act quickly.

As I paced back and forth, my beta approached me. "He's awake," my beta said, his voice calm and reassuring. "Do you want to talk to him?" I took a deep breath, trying to steady my nerves. "Yes," I said, my voice shaking slightly. "But I'm not sure what to say." My beta placed a hand on my shoulder. "Just be yourself," he said, his voice gentle. "You don't have to say anything special. Just be honest and be yourself."

I took a deep breath and followed my beta back to the interrogation room. As we entered the room, I saw the elder sitting at the table, his head down. I could see the bruises on his face.

I took a deep breath and looked the elder in the eye. "This is your last chance," I said, my voice firm. "If you don't talk, then we'll have to find another way to get the information we need." The elder sat up a little straighter, his eyes wide. "I can't"
