Alpha's Revenge

“Ally, something isn’t right here. I need you to stay behind me and if anything happens I need you to hide yourself somewhere. Take this and if you get a chance, you run and find a car or whatever transportation you can that will get you to the Lycan King. No matter what you get to him and tell him everything you know. He’ll believe you as long as you tell him the absolute truth. Do not sugarcoat, edit, or omit, anything because he will know and trust me, you do not want to piss him off with lies. He will not hesitate to kill you. Do you understand what I’m telling you?” I shove the money into her pocket as I'm looking her in her eyes. She looks scared and confused.

“I don’t understand what is happening. Why are you telling me all of this?”

“Because I picked up the scent of other wolves when we got here and the scent of Reigna. All of them were faint as if they left but I’ll be more certain once we get to the room. She could be in the room and hurt or was taken. I should have tried harder to get that damn collar off of her. That thing makes her more vulnerable.”

She takes the money from her pocket and puts it into her pack, then stands behind me and nods as if telling me to go. Quickly we walk to the elevator but once we get to our floor, I move slowly making as little noise as possible. Before I get to our room, I can smell the faint smell of the other wolves and Reigna and quicken my pace noise be damned at this point. Reaching the room, the door is slightly open and I turn to Ally silently telling her to stay behind me and she moves directly behind me.

Opening the door, I don’t see Reigna but the room is an absolute mess. A fight definitely went down here and there is one body on the ground. “At least she got one of them.” I say to myself. I keep surveying the room looking for clues as to who these people were and why they would be after Reigna. They aren’t rogues and they aren’t pack members that Ramsay sent, that I know for sure. I check the bathroom but nothing is in there, so I head back to the room and motion for Ally to come into the room and close the door.

“From what I can tell, there were at least three men here and one of them is lying there. Reigna put up one hell of a fight, but it looks like they took her. I don’t know who they are or why they want her. We’re really going to need the Lycan Kings’ help now.

**Ally’s POV (2 Years Ago)**

We got up and went out for breakfast, but came back to chaos in our room. Reigna is missing and we don’t know who took her. Fredrick said we can’t stay there any longer and we took all of our things and Reigna’s and left. We didn’t even bother to properly check-out. He looked online in the room and found a place to rent a car from and we went straight there. Thankfully he was able to reserve one online so we didn’t have to do a ton of waiting when we got there. All he had to do was prove he was the one that made the reservation and within minutes we were out of there and on our way to the Royal pack. I was very nervous about having to talk to the Lycan King because he is known for being ruthless and very impatient. Fredrick told me that even if I’m nervous, he’ll be able to tell if I’m speaking the truth. I’m glad he told me that because if being nervous and scared are indicators of lying he’d kill me on site.

“The Lycan King is going to talk to us, right?” I ask him. “I mean we didn’t call ahead or anything to request an audience with him.”

“His reputation is that of a ruthless and temperamental nature, but he is fair and just as well. He will hear what we have to say. He’s been known to take requests in person if he isn’t busy or is intrigued by the request or those requesting. Quit worrying so much. If he doesn’t see us today then we can find a room and email or call and make a formal request, but either way, he will see us at some point. We are going to get Reigna and the pack back.”

I don’t know why but I believe him and I feel surprisingly safe with him. If I was lucky enough to get a mate, I hope that he is at least as caring as Fredrick. He doesn’t really know me and yet he is doing everything he can to keep me safe and calm. “Oh, snap out of it Ally. He’s doing his job as a Gamma and that’s all. He’s supposed to keep you safe and calm in this kind of situation. What is he supposed to do, let you die or get all worked up and then he has to spend his time dealing with you instead of the situation at hand?” Shaking my head to clear it of those thoughts, I take a few deep breaths and calm myself down while looking out of the window. I’ve never been outside of the pack before so I try to take in everything that I’m seeing. The tall buildings and stores and the people walking around in the cities that we pass. Eventually we leave all of the cities behind and there is just an expanse of open road with nothing but trees or farm life on either side of the road.
