CHAPTER 65

Raven couldn't help but smile at his words as she felt a slight wave of excitement come over her. For a second she felt as though she was tempted to lean back in and place another kiss on his cheek.

But she knew this wasn't the time and the lady thing that she wanted or needed at the moment was to make things any more awkward for the both of them than they already wore. She let out a song from her lips as she felt her body shudder at the thought.

She was looking for things to make our sky the both of them but she realized that it was much more complicated than any of them had anticipated. She was going to have to work on putting her feelings for him aside and at least try to put some distance between the two of them. She let out a sigh from her lips as she shook her head at the very thought.

She sucked in a deep breath as she looked back at him. “You know that you truly are a friend to me and I don't know what I would do if i didn't have you present in my life.” She said to him honestly and she watched as he gave her a small smile before he nodded his head at her brightly.

He let out a sigh from His lips as he felt his body differ and a small smile came over his features. He let out a sigh as he reached out and hugged her. "You know that I didn't like you at first. I didn't know how to feel about your presence and I felt as though I couldn't trust you. I am sorry for that and I feel bad to have to admit that fact. And now i know that the reason that i did ghat waste because of anything big but because of the fact thatYou reminded me of myself. Too much of myself in that regard.” He said to her and she bobbed her head at him as she let out a sigh from Her lips. She was well aware of his initial feelings towards her but what she wasn't aware of was the fact that she reminded him of himself and that was the reason for his animosity towards her. She wanted to say sorry but that just didn't seem right at that moment.

“It is fine I didn't have the best first impression of you either and I think that we are both aware of the fact that there is that slither of tension amongst all of this that still goes between us”. She said to him and she watched as his cheeks lit up with a brush. She knew that she had to address it now as she didnt want things to go too far. It was better that they face it now head on instead of later on.

“Yes I know. I'm sorry for making you uncomfortable. I shouldn't have and you must believe that truly that wasn't my intention. I will do my best to keep my distance from now on and I will not do anything to make you feel any further discomfort.” She heard him say to her and she nodded her head but in her heart she knew that there was something else that she wanted for say.

"but shy do we have to keep ourselves away. Why aren't we allowed to feel how we want and be our true selves. Why must we hide? Our latest turned us down and I feel as though we have the right to still want and need to continue on with our lives. It is something that we owe not to them but to ourselves. We can't allow them to take control of our lives. We must do that for ourselves and our future is up to us to make.” She said to him and he watched as he smiled at her but it wasn't one of pride or one that reached his eyes but instead it was sad.

“I know that if i am eazy at the fact that i am ready to move on but the question is that are you. I don't think that you have allowed yourself the proper time to heal and to move on from everything that has happened and I don't want you to jump into a relationship just to be another rebound. Why you chose to be with me I want you to be sure I am the one for you that you have chosen me fully and without a doubt. I want to know that I know that he is in your life and that there is no one else here for you except me.” He said to her and she sucked in a deep breath. She wanted to refute his words and tell him that he was wrong. To tell him that he was the only one for her even now.

She still had thoughts that lingered around Luther and she knew that she didn't want that. Dhe had tried in multuplle occasions to push him and any semblance of him to the very back tofo her mind but no matter how hard she tried to do that nothing seemed to be working.

She found herself thinking about him at every turn and it enraged her to say the least. She wished that thread was strong enough to put an end to it all. She wished that it was like a switch hnn her head that she would turn on and off as she made and yet it wasn't that simple and no matter how hard she tried her world seemed to drift back to him.
