Epilogue (Muna and Fredrick)

Epilogue (Muna and Fredrick)
Muna's POV

"Zara, I don't think all of that is necessary." I coughed out a laugh as I stared at the trolley my sister was pushing. Clothes, toys, books and other nonsense my son would definitely not make use to of.

She called me some minutes ago, just to show me everything she would bring to my house when she comes visiting. It was a whole ass jumpscare.

"Nothing! I mean, NOTHING is too much for my favourite nephew." She pushed the trolley forward and picked up another toy car and a toy that looked like Batman. Then she got some random toy of every skin tone and hair colour, with the claim that diversity is good. "If I don't do this, how will I earn the role of the favorite Aunty? I'm competing against Adeline!"

"You're ridiculous, sis."

She shooed me away as a colourful children's book got her attention. At this point, she was out of ideas and just buying random stuff. "And you know Enzo has a lot of friends and cousins. He needs to have so much to share. It's my job to spoil him. I'm sure Fredrick will agree."

Fredrick who was by my side stuck his head into the phone at the mention of his name, and Zara's face brightened even more.

"Brother in-law! Hey!" She waved at him, and Fred waved back with equal enthusiasm. "Muna doesn't think Enzo deserves all the love in the world."

"I didn't say that!"

"That's exactly what I heard." Zara continued, her face bright as she laughed. I shook my head as I watched her pay for everything when she was done shopping. She'd gotten a good job at a multinational firm just a few months after she graduated. And now, she was doing so good for herself. I was so proud of her.

At a time, I realized she'd wanted to pay me back for taking care of her, and I bluntly refused. She was my sister, and I did all I did because I loved her. There was a time where she was all I had. I didn't expect repayment.

Her buying stuff for my son now wasn't part of it. Zara just enjoyed spoiling the boy silly.

"When are you coming back? I miss you." A hint of longing crept into her otherwise happy tone.

I'd travelled to Europe two weeks ago for my book release, and to have some meet and greet with some fans. Over the years, I'd slowly risen in popularity. But the big break happened in the middle of last year. I'd released a new book, and Fredrick had done everything concerning the promotion and marketing.

He'd been planning it long before I started the book. It took his time and resources, but he didn't mind. He said he even enjoyed it, and then went ahead to employ himself as my personal assistant.

Anyway, instead of just staying one place in Europe, we planned a whole vacation. We visited Rome and Venice in Italy, Santorini in Greece, Barcelona in Spain. The highlight of it all was when we visited Croatia for the set of Game of thrones. Because I was silly and had nothing better to do, I reenacted the 'Cersei walk of shame'. It was one of the best experience of my life, and I could not wait to do it again with our son. Right now, he was in the pack house with Valerie and Klaus.

Finally, we stopped at France, where the book launch was held, and some of my fans were given exclusive opportunities to get signed copies of the book before the official release date. That didn't stop us from visiting the Eiffel Tower though.

"In a few days. Don't worry, I got gifts for you from every city I visited. You're gonna love them." I said to Zara, and her eyes lit up again with excitement.

"Maybe next year, we can go together? Me and you? It's been a while."

"Of course!" My voice rang out in excitement, before I burst into a laugh as I saw Fredrick's face. He didn't look very thrilled about the future vacation with my sister. He was probably thinking and dreading all the times that we'd be away from each other. "Though you'll have to deal with Fred."

"Oh, my lovely brother in-law will understand. Won't you, Fred?"

His brows creased. "Not when you're planning to take her away from me."

"It will be a few weeks. You've taken her away from me for YEARS!"

"I can't breathe well without her for a day. Weeks will kill me." His straight face while his said that made drew out a snort from me.

I tapped his arm lightly, and he responded by biting the area connecting my neck and shoulder. He knew that I was sensitive in that area.

"Fred, stop..." My voice came out as a small moan to my horror, and I quickly ended the call before Zara would tease me. "You are insane! That's my sister on the line."

"Yes. And she understands that I need my mate."

I giggled as he rolled over until I was trapped beneath him. "I hate you."

He leaned in and bit my neck even harder. "You love me."

My yelp over his laugh lasted for just a second before I burst into laughter as he began to tickle my sides. Usually, I was immune to tickles, but when Fredrick does it, I couldn't help but melt. Just the way I melt for everything he does.

He had a way of making me feel relaxed, cared for and loved. He made me realize that I didn't always have to be in control. Didn't always have to carry other people's burden. That I could put myself first and everyone else would still be okay.

"Yes." I cupped his face, reaching to kiss his lips. "I love you, my good little Wolf."

His eyes widened, then a frown settled between his brows. "That's a horrible way to describe me."

"But you're so good to me." I kissed his lips again to distract him. But it lasted only for a second.

"Little?" He was focused on that single word.

I grinned, knowing that I'm about to piss him off. "You're a Little boy."

Next thing I knew, I was flipped on my stomach, gripping tightly to the headboard as he pressed his weight against me, and I couldn't move at all.

That was the thing about being the human mate of a werewolf. My strength was no match for his. But never have I felt unsafe, threatened or vulnerable. Instead I found comfort in his strength, safety in the power and at home in the supernatural.

We were two different species, making our mark in the world.

I didn't get much chance to dwell on my monologue because my clothes had followed the aggressive vengeance of his claws. While his mouth, hands and cock marked every inch of my body until it was truly engraved in my head that he was in fact not a little boy.
