Chapter126

Jeremiah was a brilliant man who showed an unparalleled talent for strength since he was a child. At the age of eighteen, he met Stella, the one in his life, in that wonderful mating ceremony on that full moon night.

Jeremiah was sitting on a rock at the edge of the cliff. Having just said goodbye to Bella Roberts, he was in a very low mood.

The wind on the cliff was strong. Jeremiah was as motionless as a statue, his eyes gradually gleaming with a peacefulness that he had only had when he had met Stella that year.

That had been all those years ago.

...

"You seem to be afraid of me," Jeremiah said softly to the young girl before his eyes who was so nervous that she was clutching her dress tightly. Stella looked up at Jeremiah. She bit her lip and looked at the tall and strong man in front of her as she said, "This is the first time I've ever participated in a mating ceremony, but I'm not ready for it, and everything here scares me."

Jeremiah grinned broadly. He found this young girl very interesting. As he was about to reach out and take her away, another hand that was covered in tattoos pushed him away.

Jeremiah looked at the other person with a look of anger on his face and saw that it was Douglas, the son of the pack leader. The young master, who had been hated by the community since he was a child, did all the unsavory things that brought shame to the community. He had even had the police officers come to his door several times to issue warnings. But he was lucky to have a good father who could go out of his way to clean up his mess.

Douglas looked over at Stella with a smile, but his smile along with the scars on his face looked downright scary to Stella. She hid behind Jeremiah, trying to get Jeremiah to keep her protected.

"Get out of my way. Don't drag your family down with you because of this woman." Douglas said to Jeremiah with a look of disdain on his face. He seemed to have seen the images of Jeremiah running away with his tail between his legs and of him starting to abuse the girl to his heart's content by ripping off her clothes and stealing her body.

"I will take that as a provocation. Douglas, don't think that just because you have a great father you can do whatever you want. You know the rules of the mating ceremony. If you want to get the girl, you'll have to take me down in the ring fair and square." Jeremiah didn't flinch as he looked at Douglas, who looked as if nobody on earth could beat him. Stella breathed a sigh of relief and couldn't help but have a feeling of dependence on Jeremiah. She herself was not sure when this kind of feeling had begun. She didn't know if it was because of his crystal-clear eyes when she had first met him or the way he had just stood up for her? But she knew it was a sense of security.

They were surrounded by a crowd of people and there were more and more onlookers. Everyone had been dissatisfied with Douglas for a long time. Now that they had the chance to see him make a fool of himself, they were all adding fuel to the fire.

"Jeremiah, come on, beat this shameless guy."

"Yeah. Jeremiah, teach him a hard lesson for us."

Everyone whistled and cheered profusely. Douglas' face went sullen in exasperation and he decided to teach this brat, who had an exaggerated opinion of his abilities, a lesson in the ring.

Jeremiah and Douglas were completely transformed into wolves in the ring. Seeing Jeremiah, everyone couldn't help but take a deep breath because Jeremiah's power had reached level 9, which completely surpassed all of them. What was unbelievable was that Douglas's power was only level 7, and that was even because he had a father who was the Alpha.

As soon as the two of them started to fight, Jeremiah left a deep gash on his opponent's body. Douglas was enraged and, fighting back the pain, launched himself at Jeremiah. But it was a slaughter to no one's surprise. Douglas suffered a crushing defeat. He didn't even leave a single claw mark on his opponent.

Cheers broke forth from the crowd. Douglas was so humiliated that he passed out in the face of everyone's ridicule.

Stella looked at Jeremiah with a look of admiration under the ring. No girl could resist Jeremiah's aura. Many young girls cast envious eyes at Stella as Jeremiah looked at the young girl in front of him and slowly reached out to her.

Stella felt her heart jumping out of her chest with anticipation of the story that would happen next. Seeing the hand Jeremiah reached out to her, she hesitated a little and then and held it tightly. Everyone instantly burst into cheers and they all expressed their deepest blessings to them.

Soon, Jeremiah and Stella fell in love. Since Jeremiah was a warrior in the pack, the Alpha personally presided over their wedding, all of which made Douglas extremely angry.

And so he began his irrational revenge.

In the werewolf territory, Douglas harassed Stella again and again, but each time he was stopped by Jeremiah. Douglas even fought with Jeremiah several times, but he was defeated every time.

Although Jeremiah had been able to protect Stella in time at every turn, something unfortunate still happened.

Jeremiah went to the tribal wrestling match as the representative of the new force, while Stella could not accompany him because of illness and therefore stayed at home, which gave Douglas the perfect opportunity.

On that day, Jeremiah's parents were out of town because of some business, leaving Stella alone at home, and that was when something unfortunate happened.

Douglas finally had the opportunity of a lifetime when he knocked on the door of Jeremiah's house.

Unaware of the danger that was creeping up on her, Stella hummed a song expressing the joy of the day.
