Chapter 43 A blissful day
43\. A blissful day
"Ma, I am sorry." Aurora tried to not cry as she clutched the sheet around her belly tightly in her grip.
"No, don't talk to me." She suppressed her cries, feeling bad for her negligence.
"You really hurt me, Aurora." Madam Martha was here in the hospital.
A few minutes back she was talking to Aurora in a petrified and concerned tone as she finally got time to pick her phone up post disappearing unknowingly for the whole day.
But when Madam Martha was dawned with the knowledge that her car met with an accident and she was in a hospital, she only asked about the hospital she was located in and cut the fall.
The next moment she was across Aurora with her red painful teary eyes, expressing her hurt towards her daughter.
"Which daughter does this to her mother?" Madam Martha stopped Aura from saying anything as she attempted.
Her hurt was pasted in the form of paleness on her wrinkled face. The spilling brine from her eyes showed how much scared she was for Aurora while she sniffed, moving her head away from Aurora.
"I swear I am fine. The baby is resting peacefully in my womb too." Aurora attempted to convince her but the old lady got up from the stool and spun around.
She let her back talk with Aurora in silence while she sobbed. All this while Rosario stood quietly in the corner of the room with his eager eyes witnessing the event unfold in front of him.
He was not shocked to see Madam Martha here for it was his phone that was used to call her; and when the phone ended, Aurora ensured to tell him about her. He was only being enlightened more of the relationship she shared with Madam Martha when the old lady barged inside the ward with panic pasted all over her face.
She literally threw herself on Aurora and cried her heart out until she realized her condition. Then later she showed how hurt she was for not being informed about the accident and all this until the night.
"You have no idea how scared I grew when I heard about the accident." Rosario was snapped from his trance by the old lady's words.
He had an urge to interrupt and let her know that Aurora gained her consciousness only recently, but he preferred to be a quiet witness. He also realized that he was yet to be noticed by the old lady in the room.
"I am sorry... I did not mean to scare you, Ma. Everything happened so suddenly I,"
"That is why I had told you to let me come with you." Madam Martha cut her in between her clarification as she turned around to glare at her.
From the look of her face it was readable that she understood the accident was not avoidable. That is how accidents are... They happen unpredictably and cause havoc in people's lives while they cannot be avoided.
But the mother in Madam Martha was scared both for her daughter and the baby. It was only by chance that she was saved without incurring any serious harm. Had anything injurious transpired, not just her but also Damien would have regretted this day.
Anyways wiping her tears Madam Martha came back near the back and settled in the stool. She took Aurora's hand and squeezed it in order to assure her that she was not angry anymore.
"I am sorry. I will not worry you any more." Crying silently, beautiful Aura looked at her mother with eyes of forgiveness.
She received a kiss in return as she heard, "I will not let you worry me any more, Aurora Collins!" Madam Martha's exclamation scrunched her forehead.
"I will go with you wherever you go now to make sure you and my grandchild are safe." She added smiling between her tears, and hugged her daughter.
Here, Rosario smiled serenely as he saw their bond.
'Thank you for saving me from committing a mistake, God! If I had not seen all this I might have just turned into a psycho stubborn obsessive lover and tried to get her in my life. But I am glad you saved me from destroying a lovely family."

A few days later,
"That is too much, Ma. I will explode if I don't stop now." Putting a hand on her mouth to avoid the morsel of food that was brought near her mouth, Aurora shook her head in a no.
She was back to her house, in the Hunter Mansion, and at the moment she was being fed forcibly by her mother while she sat in her bed with folded legs.
"Just three more bites, baby, then I will let you rest." Madam Martha insisted.
Aura sighed but eventually gave in. She opened her mouth half-heartedly and took the spoon in to eat the healthy oats that were prepared for her.
"That is like my good girl." She was patted on the head by her mother.
"I won't eat anything until dinner. I am so full up to my neck." Commented Aura while drinking water.
This was her third time eating since the morning.
"Okay, as you say. But you can't refuse fruits." Madam Martha flashed a cute smile.
Ever since Aura got her discharge from the hospital four days ago, she had been getting this kind of attention from Madam Martha. She would be fed three to five times a day. Small but healthy meals and would be read good pregnancy billionaire stories with happy endings by Madam Martha.
"No, please. I will burst."
"Shut up! In fact, the fruits are for my grandchild. I know he will get hungry soon."
Aurora sighed as she knew there was no way to avoid those meals or fruits. Her will or not... She knew she had to eat them as Madam Martha had promised herself to make Aurora healthy.
"Okay, you rest. Meanwhile I will go get my pending work done." Kissing her daughter on the forehead, the old Housekeeper rose to her feet.
She collected the bowl of porridge and put them in the trolley she had carried them in, and swung around to leave.
"I also need to clean Damien's room before he arrives tomorrow." The mention of his name made Aurora smile chastely.
She watched her mother exit her room not before waving while she occupied herself with Damien's thoughts.
"I so miss you, Damien. Our baby misses you too. I can't wait to tell you about our baby now." She came out of the bed in order to stand near the window.
Damien was supposed to come within three days but his stay extended due to the change in project and other important meetings. It has been a week since he left and Aurora met with that accident.
No matter how busy he was, he did not forget to call Aurora daily in the morning and in the night. They would have long hour calls which sometimes turned into video calls. It was possible because she was perfectly fine now.
Aurora was glad that her bandages were removed. All thanks to Madam Martha and the herbal teas she made for her quick recovery. It really healed her wounds during the night, making her look as healthy and beautiful as ever. Because of this, she was saved from having a heated and stern conversation with Damien.
Otherwise he would have gone mad if he heard about the accident. But thanks to Rosario as he handled the situation. He also took control of the driver and prevented the news of the accident from going to Damien.
Even Brian was good now. Having recovered from his injuries, he joined his Alpha on the business trip. Everything was on its track now.
Aura was just happy things were going good with her. She observed the Sapphire sky with a grateful smile. She caressed her belly as she patiently admired the sky.
Life seemed blissful. Every moment of this day looked so cherishable.
"I need to take pictures of this wonderful day. The sky is just admirable!" She exclaimed and went to grab her new cell phone that her mother gifted her.
Aura clicked some professional photographs of the sky as well as the flock of birds sailing in the sky. She happily checked those captures before she sent them to Damien with the following caption-
'The sky is so beautiful. When are we going to admire it together side by side? I miss you so much, Mr. Alpha.'
She covered her face, feeling delighted. This was just blissful. Everything about her life.
Sadly, Aurora was unaware of the storm of sorrow that was slowly advancing towards her.
Slowly... But very soon.
