Chapter 39 He knew it!

Chapter 39 He knew it!
39\. He knew it!

The next morning on the breakfast table, Alpha Damien retired all the maids to some other work as he wished to enjoy his morning meal with Aurora alone. Only Madam Martha stayed given that he trusted her with whatever conversation they were going to have apart from their breakfast.

Damien delightfully grinned looking at the meal produced before him. Toasted breads with crunchy peanut butter and omelets. His other favorite, mixed fruit juice was offered to him. He enlarged his eyes in jubilation as there was also some tasty pasta, smelling so good and appealing that he dug into it before anything else.

All this while Aura was sitting beside him with a serious look. Irresolution churned her stomach as she was about to tell him what relationship she shared with Rosario.

Last night she tried but Damien only took her in his arms and fell asleep. He was very tired. So exhausted that he was softly snoring when they jumped into bed with her naked! Yes naked. Because Alpha Damien desired to feel her skin. And so, he made her strip in front of him while he was enjoying some wine.

He drank her beauty with his desirous eyes but she literally felt that they were going to have a night full of passion. Albeit, he only placed his head on her chest after caressing and sucking her nipples, and drifted off to sleep.

"Damien," And now, Aura was ready to tell him that part of her life nobody knew.

"Hmm, breakfast is awesome. Love you, Miss Martha." He looked behind his back in the kitchen where the old and senior Housekeeper was attending to some dish kept on the flame.

She passed him a smile of acknowledgement and Damien brought his eyes back to his food.

His lack of interest toward her serious expression made her stomach churn more. She was anxious thinking about the reaction he would give, but there, Alpha Damien was relishing his breakfast while Aura hardly looked at what was decorating her place.

"Damien, I am trying to talk." Sternly she spoke while her hand caught his arm, stopping him from sipping his juice.

He finally noticed the uncertainty in her eyes and that tinge of uneasiness on her face as he raised his eyebrows. "I am listening, Aura."

"You're not. You are barely looking at me let alone listen to me." Tears suddenly welled her eyes.

He was ignoring her again.

"Huhh! You are... I don't know what to do with you." Leaving his glass of juice back on the table, Damien came out of his chair partially.

He took both her hands and stroked her cheek, assuring her that he was listening to her. He brushed her tears away and locked their eyes as if saying, go on.

When Aura realized she really had his attention, she quickly took two shallow breaths and flipped that last page of the book of her life that contained her only secret she swore was there in the store of her memory.

"Rosario and I shared the same college before he went abroad. We were not friends. We never talked to each other except for during group presentations or projects, until that day when he was leaving. Rosario was transferring to some international academy for his further studies. And he's messaged me to meet him before his departure in the library." Damien felt her palms sweating in his hold.

Her fingers shuddered and she closed her eyes. He only smiled and maintained a neutral face when their gaze met again. Her forehead was knitted with beads of sweat and eyelashes blinked erratically.

"He confessed." She swallowed her saliva as she fearfully peered in his eyes for any indifference. But there was none.

"He confessed he had feelings for me. Rosario claimed that I was his love at first sight but he never found an appropriate moment or courage to confess it any time before. But since he was leaving the country then, and knew he wouldn't be able to return before three to five years, he thought to share what he felt for me with me before leaving. He's... He asked me to wait for him and promised to put his ring on my finger once he returned. We also exchanged numbers as—" She gulped, closing her eyes away.

This part was difficult. She was sure this would flicker his neutral emotion into stiffness. But she had to tell him that. He deserved to know about it if they fancied a loyal and strong bond with each other.

"I liked him too." Aurora pressed her eyelids together since she felt his fingers tightening on her hands. It only happened for a split second, and then she was back to sensing him stroking her skin with the pad of his thumbs and asking to go on.

"Th-though we never talked... We still had that unknown thing between us where we knew what we felt for each other. It was like... We knew we liked each other but never confessed it. S-so that night after he told me to wait and gave me a promise, we exchanged numbers. H-he also k-kissed me on the cheek." She paused, then started again.

"I... I didn't want to lose my first kiss to someone I wasn't sure about spending my life with despite attraction, so.. I refused him from kissing me like that. Like lovers. I fancied to give my firsts to the man I'd be serious about with all my heart." All this while his eyes remained on her face as his earlier heated fingers, now held her in a cold grip.

He was not reacting, his body temperature did. But he was listening to her. So Aura quickly continued.

"It was a fairy tale. Y-you know like a love connection you aspire to have in your teenage years. Rosario was just like that. A charming, most desired guy in the college. We would talk daily at night and our mornings would begin with greeting each other.

I was sure about staying in touch with him but with passing time everything changed. Our communication that was barely anything— turned to nothing. He was always busy as he was also taking part in his father's business beside his studies. I was also busy with my career and after I lost my phone that had my old contacts, I eventually forgot about him. Then my parents' untimely demise, the trauma and all.. It drifted me apart from the thoughts of him... I just forgot about him completely. Then you entered my life." A sudden transformation of emotions transpired.

Damien noticed that her eyes that's been remorseful earlier now flicked with passion and confidence. What she was going to speak now was the best part of sharing her dating life with him.

"I have never felt so strongly attracted to any guy before. Not even to the celebrities or models I cherished. You engrossed me day and night. I was afraid it might hurt me in the end since you were an alpha and I a mere Housekeeper... But I was glad to know that I was not the only one feeling that way." The corner of her mouth stretched into a hesitant grin.

She avoided the context and got up from her seat. "You're the best part of my life. You made me believe in myself and feel important. Your attention filled gaze completed me and you love... Your love became my hope for breathing."

Aura settled in his lap while Damien gladly loosened his body to let her do whatever she wanted with him. "Now it's just you who rules my heart. After you came... I realized Rosario was only an attraction. But you are the man I love. It's your ring I want to see on my finger and for you to fulfill the promises you've made to me." She whispered.

She dipped her head down for a kiss, he just hung there, feeling her.

Their lips danced together slowly in synchronization. Heartbeats grooved in a rhythm as their hands fed each other with warm touch. The moment stopped right there for them.

It was just so refreshing to sense his frame sitting calmly under her. No stress. No stiffness. No tension in his muscles. Just Damien how she liked him.

His hands that wrapped possessively around her made her feel loved and wanted— just like how she was praying for him to make her feel after knowing the only secret she ever kept concealed from everyone.

Alpha Damien, on the contrary, was marveled because she preferred to narrate each part of her life that contained Rosario. She could easily skip the part when Rosario kissed her, or how they used to talk late at night. But she didn't. Unlike him, who kept so many things unsaid, untold from her; she unfolded every page of her dating life. He was just so proud of her.

Aura didn't feel the same way regardless! She was still sailing in a boat of agitation since he was yet to respond. Her heart was throbbing like it was its last time beating. She wanted him to say something to remove her terror.

"S-say something, Damien. Please." Nervously she moistened her dry lips. The last word coming out as helplessly as her heart throbbed.

Alpha Damien opened his eyes as he held her nape. He made her look into his eyes. She was taken aback when he chuckled and pressed her mouth down for a dominating kiss.

And when he looked back at her again whilst responding to her request, she swore she had never felt so frozen and freaked out simultaneously before, "I'll only say two things. One— I am glad he only kissed you on the cheek or else I would have sprinted out already to bury him alive. I wanted all your firsts, I am glad I got them. Second— you didn't have to freak out so much for I was aware of your relationship with Rosario."

"Damien?" A yelp of bewilderment expelled from her chest while Aurora peered deep in his blazing eyes.

To which he only chuckled again, repeating his act of dominating kiss, as he pulled her closer, "I have known your relation with him as long as I have known Rosario himself, my love— for it was my academy he joined for his further studies. We were classmates."

"Bye, love. I'll miss you. Miss me too." Alpha Damien combined her plump smiling lips with his smirking ones for yet another deep kiss.

"Now go, Damien! You've already returned five times to bid me bye." When they parted, the love of his life flashed her enlarged fake angry eyes at him while pushing him away.

"You can't be heartless, can you?"

"You own a private jet doesn't mean you'll delay your time like this. Now go!"

"Fine. But really I hate you for being so bossy around me when I should be the one bossing on you." Finally after taking another deep kiss from her Alpha Damien padded ahead inside the airport not before waving his hand at her while his sweet Aurora watched him disappear, standing near the car they've come in.

"He is so weird at times! God." An embarrassing smile crept on her lips since the driver was still inside the car behind her, and they kissed so many times in front of him.

Now Aura was feeling her cheeks heated. She didn't want to travel in the same car with him.

But then this was normal. Ever since she shared Rosario's untold secret to Damien seven days ago, things have become even more passionate between them.

'Okay, Aura, stop being so shy now. Sit inside the car and stop thinking about the driver.' She muttered to herself and prepared to sit inside.

She turned around and put her fingers around the handle of the car's door. She was about to pull it open when a hand caught her shoulder and a voice rang near her ear, "Aurora."
