Chapter 38 He can't misunderstand her!

Chapter 38 He can't misunderstand her!
38\. He can't misunderstand her!

Bright azure sky turned black outside Aurora's window. Stars were again assembled together as an army blinking amusingly at the earth below. And here inside the bedroom, Aurora sat on the floor by the support of her bed as she cried.

She had been laying there since she entered her room. After Damien dropped her home, he left in the car to somewhere else, leaving her all shattered and dizzy. He left her with insecure feelings and with a thumping heart to cry over something she did not know would ever happen.

Aurora locked herself in the room, refusing to see anyone. Even when Madam Martha came behind her following to her room, Aurora pleased her. She asked her to leave her alone as she could not face her. It was only Damien and his emotionless face, and those blazing eyes that remained in her mind.

His anger was not unnoticed. He had masked it with a neutral look as if he was unaffected, but deep down, Aura knew he was erupting like a volcano. He was committing psychological murders of Rosario.

She had noticed him sitting rigid. Without breathing. He refused to respire for the air was heavy, and probably poisonous given that her scent was combined with Rosario's. Her body was smelling of his cologne. She herself can inhale his strong perfume on her, then one can only imagine how would Damien be tolerating it.

He hadn't looked at her when she exited the car. He didn't reply either when she told him, come home soon. Damien simply commanded the driver to ignite the engine and take him somewhere she knew not where.

And since then he has not returned. The entire day Aura spent in her room crying as she replayed that scene in front of her eyes.

Bloody Rosario... He should not have hugged her like that. It was so lively and possessive.

To herself it felt like a reunion of two old lovers, then how would have Damien not seen it the same way as a spectator? He probably saw it more than that. Intense than that... Which is why he did not let her clarify his doubts or looked at her.

Aurora closed her eyes trying to stop her tears. She wanted to not cry as it would worsen her condition. But damn it! She was scared. Her heart was beating loudly and crazily. Her fingers were numb and stomach twisting as if something bad was going to happen.

Though the worst had happened, she still felt something was remaining.

Something like... His fury. An absent-mindedly taken decision. Like... A separation.

"He can't misunderstand me because of a hug!" Suddenly, at the mere thought of parting away, Aurora got up.

"I didn't even respond to it. I knew Damien wouldn't like to see me in another man's arms and never hugged Rosario back. He needs to listen to me. He cannot ignore me like that. I did not do anything wrong. I have been loyal to him."

She hastily wiped her tears away and set her hair properly.

Her legs took her inside the washroom where she sprinkled some water on her face to cleanse off the tear marks. Last time when he had seen her crying face and the trails of dried salt on her cheeks, he had frowned and warned her to not weep again.

He had given her a fair and serious warning that if he saw her like that, he would not forgive her as her tears affected him. So, she made sure to look good before she grasped her purse and dashed out of the room to search for him.

She was just in the middle of her track and about to cross the corridor, and enter the huge living room of his manor, when Aurora noticed his familiar figure entering through the huge door.

She stopped right there and held her breaths. It was Damien with a big bouquet of roses in his hands. She also noticed a package wrapped in glittery paper, like a gift, behind the bouquet as he managed to hold the two together.

Fear gripped her. She suppressed her tears but couldn't. As Damien's view became clearer, she felt tremendously scared. The morning incident crossed her mind again and she could not stop tears falling out her eyes. Both her eyes.

"Why.... The fuck... Are you crying?" His evenly spaced, slightly disappointed, yet amused voice drummed in her ears as she saw his ember eyes diluting overwhelmingly while he stopped across from her.

In return, Aurora made a pouty face blinking her eyes, and whatever accumulation of liquid had stored in her eyes glided down the curvature of her cheekbones, under her chin.

"As if you don't know!" She gave him a complaining look before her grip on her bag loosened and dropped near her feet while Aura herself collapsed, crying loudly with sobs.

Damien panicked! He kneeled down next to her as his eyebrows escalated and mouth dropped in intimidation.

"Aura? Love, what is wrong? Please do not cry. You are freaking me out." Concern dripped from his mouth.

He was really scared to see her like this. Damien looked around himself to call someone who would be able help him know what made her like that. Just then he was stunned when Aurora snaked his neck, jumping in his lap.

"I hate you. Why do you have to be so cruel with me? You didn't talk to me the whole day. Your phone was unreachable. Your bodyguard would not take my phone either. Did I really disappoint you so much in the morning that you punished me with a day's long ignorance?" Her heavy painful voice flickered his eyebrows in nervousness.

Damien's grip on her waist tightened. He pulled her so close that half of her complaints were resolved right there. Her sobs reduced to small sniffing, and when his one arm went upward to her head and stroked it with concern and needed love, she calmed down.

Then a sigh followed by a deep exhalation was noticed by Aura that came from him before he slowly said near her ear, "You're crying because of the morning incident at Ferrari headquarters?"

Her head shook up and down in response. Damien threw his head back in defeat as he tried to not get angry.

He didn't want to, but he was forced to call her foolish in his head. She unnecessarily stressed her for something he dared not think about. In fact, he was actually busy with an important meeting.

"Oh god! You can't make her so foolish, can you?" Moving her head away from his shoulder and bringing her complaining puffy eyes to glare down at his face, Aura pressed her lips together.

Her expressions made him smile. He removed the strands of hair sticking on her cheeks and smiled at her. First he kissed her wet eyes, then her lips, and then joined their foreheads.

He wanted to communicate his feelings and assure her that he didn't ignore her. That was the last thing he would ever do. Honestly, ignoring her was not even the last thing on his list he would ever do to her! She was just too sweet and ingenious to neglect.

He let it remain unsaid and let their heart beats talk. It was as if her heart was replying to his. Their chests were pressed against each other, causing him to clench his jaw. He can feel her tightened nipples. Not wanting to take her now, he made her slip out of his lap.

"Where did you go?" She snapped as she got down of his lap.

Though she was not ready, she just had to since Tasha and another servant had come into the hall to clean it, and Aura felt uncomfortable.

She was focused on his back at the servants when Damien placed the bouquet and the wrapped package in her lap.

He pulled her up and pecked her forehead before saying, "It was an important meeting."
