Twenty Nine

Twenty Nine
~Amber.

Andrenaline rushed throifh my veins as I pulled Carmen away from the crowd ignoring her protest for me to see Matthew, I was in no mood to see anyone. I just wanted to be left alone, it was getting to a breaking limit and I didn't want to break down in front of anyone, I have done that before and I am not doing it again.

We walked back to the mansion with her leading way. The silence was a load of nervousness, my mind was unsettled and disturbed, I didn't want any contact with anyone for now.

"Who is Darmac?" I blurted out as soon as our movement stopped.

"He is Brenda's brother." She answered, not looking at me but at a nearby design in bid to escape by watchful stare.

Now what? First was Brenda herself now her brother? Brenda already felt like sore now to add her psychopathic brother? How was I to handle all this? Well as the saying goes: Everything that has an advantage surely had a disadvantage. "I didn't see him all this while." I stated ignoring the fact that he has already told me he went for a raid. My eyes burned with the unshee tears that threatened to fall.

"The two siblings went off a few days before your arrival." She explained to my utmost dismay, she walked to my side patting my back. "Don't pay heed to any of them, they are just assholes. Darmac is a major one, steer clear of him."

I smiled faintly and raised my tired body up the pavement.

"Gotta go now, mate calls." She whistled in delight. She left aftwrwarfs and I walked slowly to my room ignoring Ayra worried glances, I just needed some alone time.

~Raze.

"It would be a good idea to stop the supply of food to the Crimsons pack, they've been giving off ad rebelluous signals." Zane commented as indelegated with my men in the latest updates.

"Doing that would give them enough reasons to get support." Ezra commented.

"Since when are we afraid of being attacked?" Darmac asked his brows furrowed together in confusion. "Can someone tell me what's wrong!?"

Darmac just returned from a family visit and almost oblivious to the fact that I had found a precious omega that turned me on and occupied my mind daily, heck I was still heated from our encounter if not for Zane's interruption who knows, I might have gone further.

"Alpha since everyone here is silent can you tell me what's wrong?" He asked, his quick temper rising.

"I don't want wars or fights at this time." I told him blankly, no rooms for objections.

"Why!? We are warrior pack for fucks sake!" He said, looking around frantically for approval. Seeing that no one paid heed to him I decided to help his dilema.

"I just found my Luna and she is still getting used to our territory, I don't want her geting scared." I said calmly, doing my possible best not to take offence at his disrespectful words.

To the surprise of everyone at the meeting he laughed like I said something funny. "Does that even make any sense?"

Zane sprang up in fury, his signature face as hard as steel. "How dare you talk to the Alpha that way? Are you questioning his descisions?"

He scoffed slightly, a bit afraid of Zane's anger. "I'm just giving my honest opinion."

"Stuck it up your ass man." Zane flipped him off. "And do pay your greetings to her, I heard what went down earlier."

A look of fright flashed through Darmac face and I narrowed my gaze at Zane, anger already building if it was what I thought it was.

He gave Darmac a hard stare before turning back. "He harrassed Amber with words, she got angry and stormed off."

Red flashed through my face, I sprang up from the porch I sat my hands fisted and I narrowed my gaze in him.

"Darmac is that true?" I asked, one could could sense my fury miles away.

His silence infuriated me, I gave Zane a signal to send everyone away leaving just I and the Darmac wih Zane hovering at the entrance of the door.

"Answer me." I bit out those two words, anger filled my throat and I wanted to rip his neck off his head.

"Not until you answer me." He retorted. With a flash I pulled him by the edges of his clothes slamming into a wall his spine making a satisfying crack.

"I am the Alpha here are you must listen to me. Now tell me what did you say to her?" I demanded harshly.

His strained voice resounded in my ears and I hardened my grip on his neck. "I-I told her to back off."

I furrowed my brows in confusion. "Back off from what? Since when did you start giving her orders?"

"Since I caught a whiff of your scent on her. She is just like everyone right? You use and dump them giving them fake promise. Just like Brenda." He stated, daring to look at me in the eye.

I released my grip on his neck my rage now turned to irrtation."Don't you ever cross paths with her, don't try to raise any conversation. Steer clear or I am coming for your sorry life. I am keeping you for reason you and I are aware of, I get tired easily. ?" I patted him on his shoulder. "Say hi to Brenda for me."

I walked out Zane hot on my trails. "Brenda's back, how do you plan on keeping her from getting any close to Amber?"

"Keep an eye on both of them and notify me once you sense anything strange."

"Yes Alpha." He backed off immediately.

The evening wind brushed my face, my mind went back to my morning encounter with her. The game I was playing was fangeeous and she wasn't the only one riled uo by it.

I made my way to the kitchen so I could use the back door, but to my dismay I met him standing casually with a piece of drink on his hand.

"Matthew??"
