Chapter 178

Adara POV:

Just as I escaped the castle with Vill I materialized in a strange, unfamiliar place, Vill by my side. We had escaped Malachi's chamber, but our relief was short-lived. We found ourselves in the midst of a tense fighting scene.

Before us, George Trope and Alpha Ashir Little Squid faced off, their eyes locked in a fierce stare. The air was electric with anticipation, the crowd holding its collective breath.

"No! Stop!" I screamed, my voice piercing the tension. "Don't fight!"

My cry echoed through the arena, but the two combatants didn't flinch. They were too focused on their battle, their determination to win palpable.

Vill grabbed my arm, her eyes wide with concern. "Adara, what's going on? Who are these people?"

I shook my head, my mind racing. " That's George and Ashir tropes.this shouldn't be.  We can't let them fight."

But my words fell on deaf ears. The battle began, the two fighters clashing in a flurry of punches and kicks. I knew we had to act fast, or risk losing someone we loved.

I pushed my way through the crowd, my heart pounding in my chest. I reached George's side and grabbed his arm, my eyes locked on his.

"George, stop! Ashir is a friend, not an enemy!" I pleaded, my voice urgent.

George's gaze flicked to me, his expression fierce. But I saw a glimmer of uncertainty there, a hint of doubt.

I turned to Ashir, my eyes meeting his. And then, I saw him. Jameson, standing behind Ashir, his eyes filled with a deep sadness. I saw the pain and depression there, the weight of his brother's betrayal.

"Jameson," I whispered, my heart going out to him. I knew what it was like to feel betrayed by someone you loved.

But I didn't have time to comfort him. The fight was far from over. I had to act fast, to stop George and Ashir before it was too late.

“Please stop!" My voice echoed at the scene with my Wolf almost revealed.

Everyone was surprised and their attention was all on me.

“Please stop Ashir, George, that's enough" I said again..

My voice seems to create impact as they both went at ease, I don't know how the fight started but that won't work. Malachi might be on our toes.

I watched in amazement as George and Ashir relaxed their stances, the tension between them dissipating. Ashir's eyes, once full of determination, now swirled with regret. He dismounted his horse, his movements slow and deliberate.

And then, he did the unthinkable. He knelt before me, his head bowed in submission. "Adara, please...forgive me," he begged, his voice cracking with emotion. "I was blinded by my own pride and fear. I shouldn't have rejected you, shouldn't have sent you away."

My heart raced as I gazed at the man who had once been my friend, my mate, my ally. I saw the sincerity in his eyes, the genuine remorse. I could feel that everything that had happened was destiny.”

"If only I had listened to you, Malachi wouldn't have controlled me," Ashir continued, his voice heavy with regret. "I was weak, Adara. Weak and foolish. Please, forgive me."

I felt a lump form in my throat as I looked at Alpha  Ashir. I saw the weight of his mistakes bearing down on him, the burden of his own regret. And in that moment, I knew I had to forgive him. For his sake, and for mine.

I reached out and placed a hand on Alpha Ashir's shoulder, my touch gentle. "I forgive you, Ashir," I said, my voice soft. "We all make mistakes. But it's how we learn from them that matters."

Alpha Ashir's eyes welled up with tears as he looked up at me, his face etched with gratitude. "Thank you, Adara," he whispered. "Thank you for your mercy."

I helped him to his feet, and we stood there for a moment, a sense of closure and new beginnings hanging in the air.

But our respite was short-lived. Ashir's expression turned serious, his eyes locked on mine. "Adara, we need to prepare for the battle ahead. Malachi won't stop until he's destroyed us all. He'll come with millions of soldiers, and we need to be ready."

My heart sank at the thought, but I steeled myself for what was to come. I knew that Ashir was right. We had to be prepared, had to stand strong against the darkness that threatened to consume us all.

"Let's gather our forces," I said, my voice firm. "Let's show Malachi that we won't back down.”

I held out the Sword of Truth, a blade shining with an otherworldly light

“This is it, it's yours" I said to Ashir.Ashir's eyes widened as he took it from me, his hand closing around the hilt.

As soon as he touched the sword, a surge of energy burst forth, illuminating the surrounding area. The air seemed to vibrate with an intense power, and I could feel the sword's magic coursing through me.

Ashir's eyes flashed with awe, his face lit up by the sword's radiance. He lifted the blade, and a brilliant light shot out, filling the space around us.

The onlookers gasped in unison, their faces filled with wonder and amazement. Even I was taken aback by the sword's intensity, its power far greater than I had imagined.

Ashir's stance straightened, his eyes blazing with determination. "With this sword," he declared, his voice ringing out, "we will vanquish Malachi and restore peace to our lands!"

The crowd erupted in cheers, their voices echoing through the arena. I smiled, knowing that the Sword of Truth had found its rightful wielder. Together, we would face the darkness and emerge victorious.

As the crowd were shouting, I  felt an unexpected surge of energy course through me as Ashir grasped the Sword of Truth. It was as if my own power had been amplified, my senses heightened to an unprecedented level.

I could feel my magic coursing through my veins like never before, a potent force that threatened to burst free from my very skin. My vision sharpened, my hearing became more acute, and my senses grew more refined.

George and Jameson stared at me in astonishment, their eyes wide with disbelief. "Adara, what's happening to you?" George asked, his voice laced with wonder.

I couldn't respond, my voice caught in my throat. I was too busy grappling with the sheer magnitude of my newfound power. It was exhilarating and overwhelming all at once.

Ashir turned to me, a knowing glint in his eye. "The Sword of Truth has chosen you, Adara," he said, his voice filled with conviction. "Together, we will be unstoppable."

At that moment, I knew he was right. Our bond, combined with the sword's power, had created something truly extraordinary. We were a force to be reckoned with, and nothing could stand in our way.

I stood tall alongside Ashir, our eyes fixed on the approaching army. Malachi's forces stretched across the horizon, a sea of darkness threatening to engulf us.

But I didn't flinch. I knew that I had the power of the Sword of Truth on my side, and Ashir's unwavering support. Together, we were a formidable force.

Jameson, George, and Vill led their units into position, their faces set with determination. The air was tense with anticipation as our soldiers waited for the signal to charge.

Ashir turned to me, his eyes burning with resolve. "Adara, give the order," he said, his voice low and steady.

I raised my hand, my heart pounding in my chest. "For freedom and justice!" I cried out, my voice carrying across the battlefield. "Charge!"

The ground trembled as our forces surged forward, a mighty roar echoing through the land. Ashir and I stood at the forefront, our swords at the ready. The battle for our future had begun.
