Chapter 175

George pov:

I  stood frozen, watching as Adara and Vill disappeared into the distance. My heart felt heavy with worry, knowing the perilous task they had undertaken. I couldn't shake off the feeling of unease, the weight of responsibility settling upon me.

With a deep breath, I sprang into action, summoning all the soldiers to gather before me. My voice rang out, clear and resolute, as I addressed them.

"Warriors, the time has come. Our allies, Adara and Vill, have embarked on a treacherous mission to defeat our common enemy. We must prepare ourselves for the battle ahead, for we will soon be called upon to fight alongside them."

I scanned the crowd, meeting the determined gazes of my comrades. "We will not falter. We will not fail. We will stand strong, united, and ready to face whatever lies ahead. Let us march into this battle with honor, with courage, and with the knowledge that our cause is just."

The soldiers nodded, their faces set with determination. Together, we would face the coming storm, our hearts and weapons at the ready.

I was descending from the platform, my soldiers' cheers and murmurs of determination still echoing in my ears, when a distant horseback rider caught my attention. The rider was approaching at a breakneck pace, clouds of dust trailing behind.

As the rider drew nearer, I recognized the familiar figure of Hakman, his face set in a grave expression. He reined in his horse, leaping off with a fluid motion, and rushed towards me.

"George, it's time!" Hakman exclaimed, his eyes burning with urgency. "Malachi has crossed the threshold, embracing the darkness fully. His magic has grown formidable, unstoppable. The Darkmoon Pack is in chaos, torn apart by his evil influence."

Hakman's words struck me like a thunderbolt, dispelling any lingering doubts or hesitation. The moment of reckoning had arrived.

"Then let us march into battle, Hakman!" I declared, my voice firm and resolute. "We will not let Malachi's darkness consume our lands, our people. We will fight with every ounce of strength we possess!"

With a nod, Hakman drew his sword, its blade glinting in the sunlight. Together, we would face the devil that Malachi had become, and restore peace to our troubled lands.

I  felt a sense of trepidation wash over me as I gazed at Hakman, my mind racing with thoughts of Adara and Vill. Had they been captured by Malachi's minions? Were they even still alive?

Hakman's expression mirrored my concerns, his eyes clouded with worry. "George, we must consider the possibility that Adara and Vill may have fallen into enemy hands," he said, his voice low and grave.

I nodded, my gut twisting with anxiety. "We can't afford to think like that, Hakman. We must believe they're still fighting, still alive."

Jameson, who had been listening in silence, spoke up, his voice trembling. "But what if they're not, George? What if Malachi has already won?"

I placed a reassuring hand on Jameson's shoulder. "We won't let that happen, Jameson. We'll fight with every last breath in our bodies to ensure that doesn't happen."

With a resolute nod, I turned to the gathered soldiers. "Prepare for battle, warriors! Gather your weapons and armor. We march into the fray, for our friends, our land, and our very lives!"

The soldiers responded with a fierce battle cry, their weapons at the ready. Together, we would face the darkness that threatened to consume us all.

I  gathered with Hakman and Jameson, our minds focused on the impending battle. Our discussion centered on Malachi, his powers, and his recent descent into darkness.

Hakman's expression was grim. "Malachi's evil has grown exponentially, George. He's using his magic to destroy entire villages, enslaving innocents, and slaughtering anyone who dares resist."

My jaw clenched in determination. "We can't afford to wait any longer. Adara and Vill might be in danger, captive or worse. We must act now."

Jameson nodded in agreement. "We'll need a solid strategy to take down Malachi and his minions."

I nodded, my mind racing with tactics. "Hakman, take point with your archers. Jameson, lead the cavalry charge. I'll head the infantry. We'll surround Malachi's forces and crush them."

With a unified nod, we set our plan in motion. The three of us led the charge, our soldiers following closely behind. The battle ahead would be fierce, but we were determined to emerge victorious, to save our friends and our land from the clutches of evil.
