Chapter 169
Malachi POV
I stood before my soldiers, my anger and frustration boiling over. "We were betrayed," I spat, my voice low and deadly. "George, one of our own, turned against us. And Adara, that cunning witch, took advantage of our trust."
My soldiers murmured among themselves, their faces filled with shock and anger. I raised my voice, my words piercing the air. "We will not make the same mistake again. We will not let our guard down. Anyone who acts suspiciously from now on will be killed on the spot, as an example to the rest."
My soldiers nodded, their eyes hardened with determination. I could see the fear and doubt in their eyes, but I also saw their loyalty and resolve. "We will regroup, we will retrain, and we will come back stronger than ever," I declared. "Adara may have won this battle, but we will win the war."
I paused, my eyes scanning the crowd. "And as for George...his betrayal will not be forgotten. He will pay for what he has done, and so will anyone else who dares to betray us."
My soldiers cheered, their voices echoing through the hall. I raised my fist, my anger and determination fueling my resolve. We would rise again, stronger and more powerful than ever. And Adara and George would pay for their treachery.
Immediately after the address,I strode into my chamber, my mind still reeling from the events of the past few hours. I had just addressed my soldiers, vowing to regroup and come back stronger than ever. But I knew that words alone would not be enough. I needed a plan, a strategy to take down Adara and George once and for all.
And I knew just the person to help me come up with one.
"Emma," I said, my voice softening as I approached her. She was sitting on a couch, her eyes still sunken but her strength clearly regained.
"Malachi," she replied, her voice weak but determined.
I sat beside her, taking her hand in mine. "We need to come up with a new plan, Emma. We can't just sit back and wait for Adara to attack again."
Emma nodded, her eyes sparkling with determination. "I've been thinking...we need to gather our allies, the ones we can trust. And we need to come up with a strategy to take down Adara and George once and for all."
I nodded, my mind racing with ideas. "I agree. But we need to be careful. We can't trust anyone too much, not even our own soldiers."
Emma's eyes narrowed. "I know. But we have to try. We can't do this alone, Malachi."
I squeezed her hand, my heart filled with gratitude. "I know, Emma. I don't know what I would do without you."
Together, we sat in silence, our minds working overtime to come up with a plan to defeat our enemies and reclaim our rightful place on the throne.
"Emma, is there another way to access the Book of Revelation and the Sword of Truth?" I asked, my eyes searching hers for any hint of hope.
Emma's brow furrowed in thought. "I'm not sure, Malachi. But I need to connect with my spirit to see if I can find any answers."
I nodded, understanding. "Take all the time you need. I'll wait."
Emma closed her eyes, her body relaxing as she began to meditate. I watched her, my heart filled with anticipation.
After what felt like an eternity, Emma's eyes snapped open. "Malachi, I saw something," she said, her voice filled with excitement. "The Sword of Truth is hidden with your ancestors."
My heart raced. "What do you mean?"
"It's in the Darkmoon pack, with you," Emma said. "But I couldn't see where exactly it was. We'll have to search for it."
I nodded, determination coursing through my veins. "We'll find it, Emma. Together.”
I couldn't believe what Emma had just told me. The Sword of Truth, the weapon that could defeat Adara and save our kingdom, was hidden in my own pack? It seemed impossible, yet Emma's words resonated with a deep truth.
I didn't hesitate, summoning a few of my most trusted soldiers to begin the search. "Search every inch of our pack," I ordered them. "Leave no stone unturned. We need to find that sword."
The soldiers nodded, their faces set with determination. Together, we began to search, scouring every corner of our camp. I joined in, my eyes scanning the ground, my hands searching through tents and supplies.
As we searched, my mind raced with possibilities. Where could the sword be? Was it hidden in an obvious place, or was it cleverly disguised? I thought back to my ancestors, wondering if they had left any clues behind.
The search was meticulous, thorough, and exhausting. But I knew it was worth it. We had to find that sword. Our kingdom depended on it.
I continued searching for the sword but couldn't find it. I stopped the soldiers when the night fell, we had to continue the next day after some rest.
I lay down on a coach in my tent to take a rest and I found myself in my dream not quite longer.
In the dream I found myself surrounded with a dead body in the middle of the battle, shocked in blood. Suddenly, a figure emerged it was alpha Ashir with a mysterious sword sparking in his hand. The sky was so terrifying, illuminus covered the sky. I screamed as Alpha Ashir moved closer to me. Trying to stab me with the sword.
I woke up with a start, my heart racing with the vivid dreams. I knew I had to find the Sword of Truth now, or risk losing everything. I couldn't shake the feeling of urgency, the sense that time was running out.
I immediately called out to my soldiers, gathering them around me. "We need to find that sword, now," I told them, my voice firm and commanding. "We can't waste any more time."
We searched through the night, our torches casting flickering shadows on the ground. But no matter how hard we looked, we couldn't find any trace of the sword.
As the first light of dawn crept over the horizon, I knew we had to keep searching. I couldn't give up now, not when my dreams were warning me of impending doom.
"Keep searching," I told my soldiers, my voice hoarse from exhaustion. "We'll find it, no matter what it takes."
And with that, we pressed on, our search becoming more desperate with every passing moment. I knew that I had to find the Sword of Truth, and use it to eliminate Alpha Ashir, Adara, George, Jameson, and Vill. My dreams had shown me the way, and I would not be swayed.
