A week later
I was with my mop as usual taking care of Alpha Jax's room.
When my vision suddenly became blurred. The room turned in my face. I fell to the floor with the mop in my hand.
I could hear the distance calling of alpha Jax. Thankfully, he was standing close by. He had warned others to stay away from his room when it comes to cleaning or serving him his meal.
Lyra!” I could hear the distant call of Alpha Jax as he held me and the rest was history.
By the time I had opened my eyes I found myself in the palace dispensary.
My eyes opened tired. A part-time healer who had been called up from alpha dominion pack to work on a part-time basis stood beside.
I turned my head and I saw Alpha Jax standing beside me at the other side of the bed. Anxiety watched over him.
“Healer, is everything fine with me?” I managed to ask. My mouth tasted bitter and my knee joints ached like I had my bones had been pieces together with a sledge hammer.
“He turned to me with his eyes filled with concern , “oh! You are awake,”
I couldn't reply, I only rolled my eyes.
He paused and then turned to alpha Jax whose face had been muddled up and laced with concern like answers of questions I just asked were written on alpha Jax's face.
“You know one thing?”
Jax, quickly cut-in before the young healer landed, “He just confirmed that you pregnant by a month!”
The word pregnant hit me hard like a punch launched to my ribcage.
I can't believe it that you too cheated on me just like Rosa had been doing all these while. Your friend healer…”
He paused a bit to remember his name, healer Firkley, told me that I can't give birth again. I can only have erection and sleep with …”
“Oh! You are accusing me of cheating right?” my voice cut in like a shark blade.
Not even cheating this is a daylight robbery, I know he must have informed you have my sexual status, that was why he had been sleeping with you and here we are congratulations, you are pregnant. But let tell you this, I promise to deal with that …”
Jax didn't finish his statement before I snapped,
“don't embarrass me here … I am not like every woman you have come across, be it social class life had place them, for your information, I don't cheat!”
I squeezed the edge of my cloth in bed. My blood run cold. “You have been the one sleeping with me for god knows when, at every slightest chance you have with me and at every corner of the palace you always find a way to go down with me…”
My voice echoed through the room. The words dropped like a porcelain on a tiled floor. Jax face twisted. The young healer buried his face into the ground.
Is it true I am pregnant?” I asked the Healer turning my face to him.
He couldn't reply. He flattened his lips. He only nodded, and that only was just what I needed to hear.
I could see happiness painted on Jax's face. He didn't say anything. A feeling that shows that he would soon have an heir attached to his name.
But while he was happy, I was boiling. I couldn't control my anger.
I didn't know where the strength came out from. I sprang from the bed. I located my footwears.
Mind you,” I pointed to the two. My eyes burned with anger. “The walls of this palace have ears. Everything about my pregnancy must end in this room.”
The healer nodded sheepishly.
Jax reached for my hand, in order to drive me closer, and apologize.
Dont! Dare…” I pointed my hand to his face like a sword. “Just as I had warned you earlier, everything stays in this room.”
“You need a lot of multi-vitamins at this point I would send someone to bring them to your quarters , and I wil also advise you to reduce the workload for now because of the baby…” the healer advised.
Like he was speaking to a tree. The anger was boiling in me, i couldn't wait one more minute in the room.
I stepped out of the room like nothing has never happened in there.
At the back of mind, as I walked along the pathway linking to my room. I was praying the news would not reach Rosa. But at the same time, I was ready to face her tantrums.
Stupid jax, couldn't contain his joy for a moment. He had quickly called the palace manager and instructed him to remove my name from almost all the chores in the palace.
That I was sick and it would take awhile for me to get better?

The news had reached Rosa by evening of the day and she had visited my room the way she had always did unexpectedly.

I let out a hard laugh from where I sat. “No one Rosa, you don't even know that I am the tale."
" You are nothing to me lyra or whatever your name has been called… I will make sure you stool in this palace would be taken away from you before the end of today. Mark my word lyra, you have stepped on the tail of a viper. Definitely it must bite you."
She turned and stepped out of the room.
The evening trickled bye. I wanted to give her the first shock of her life.
I went into Jax's office. I met three wolves. He was busy compiling names of new elders to reinstall into the council of elders. But he wanted to surprise everyone , including Alpha Vexhood.
I stood firm on the doorway. The two matured and elderly wolves looked at me first. Then Jax raised his eyes up behind his desk and wrote.
He quickly understood the signal.
Let's postpone this meeting till tomorrow."
The two wolves walked off the office.
I couldn't allow them. To finish stepping out, when I raised my gown up.
I didn't put on any pants. I had left them in my room.
"My special gift, you need me?"
I nodded my head like a pup in need of candy.
" Here?” Jax quickly asked, his eyes fixated on my kitty.
No… not here in your quarters.”
Okay, go wait for me there. I will join you now. "
A few moments passed. I had walked into his bedroom and undressed.
Jax stepped into the room ready to pounce on me.
Wait!" I instructed Jax,
Jax brow narrowed. Don't you want me again.”
“I need you to fuck in front of Rosa,”
Rosa? Are you sure of what you are saying or are you acting because…"
“I am fine, I just need Rosa in this room now!”
