"I have given him the medicine she needs; let her rest for a while now. She will wake up after feeling calmer," said my doctor.

"What do you mean, Karin? Is Piper okay?"

"She will be okay, Sir!" Karin smiled, but she sighed later. "And I already smell your scent on her. You've marked her, haven't you?"

"Just like I should have done!" I said.

Karin glanced at Piper briefly and then looked back at me. "But you haven't marked her completely, why?" she asked.

"She was in pain because she was still a virgin."

"I understand! As an Alpha, you can't just mark her once. Considering she's human, it takes programming for her to get pregnant."

"I know!" I replied flatly.

Karin walked away after saying that she had something to investigate regarding Piper's blood. That was fine with me as long as it solved my problem.

As I stood beside Piper, looking at her peaceful face as she slept, I realized how much my wolf and my body wanted Piper more than I ever imagined. If I gave in to my desires, I would be crazy to touch her again.

Yeah, that's obvious. I can't just have sex with her once. I need to do it multiple times. That means Piper is not only an exclusive woman for me, but she's different. Maybe because she's human?

"You should wake up soon, sugar; there are many things we have to do," I said, rubbing her forehead and then wiping her lips.

I can't lie; I still haven't had enough time to play around with her. Holding back my wolfish desires for a year by marrying Piper, I finally want to let go of this lever.

"How will she be a mother to the Alpha heir if her mentality is this weak to the point of fainting?" Luther said as I and the others enjoyed the campfire.

"Piper will grow up in her way!" I replied calmly.

"But, from what I see. She won't improve!"

"Let's see, Luther, there seems to be something different about this girl!"

"What's different about humans? Like I told you, she's just a bullied girl! Money-hungry, materialistic! She's just…"

I threw a stern look at Luther. Even now, he still couldn't accept my decision for this situation.

"Let us proceed with what I have decided. You just need to do your job as usual!"

Luther threw his cigarette in any direction and just walked away. The atmosphere was no longer pleasant for me; my heart felt restless. When I realized my wolf only wanted to see Piper.

I strolled towards Piper's room. Before I could open the door, I heard a scream from inside.

I hurriedly opened the door to the room and found things in disarray. Piper had thrown all the things.

"What's going on?" I asked to make sure. One of the maids approached me. "Sir, Miss Piper suddenly went berserk! She's been throwing these things at us!" they said.

"Get out now!" I ordered. The three of them left without making a sound. I stood by the door with my arms crossed over my chest.

Piper was standing there, right next to the window. Her appearance could have been better. Her hair was tangled, her palms were red, and her eyes were puffy. I understood why she was going crazy like this; it wasn't without reason that everything was too shocking for her.

"I hate it here," her voice was hoarse. "I don't want to be here anymore," she continued. She took a deep breath for a moment. "And I want us to get a divorce, please," she whined.

What's with this last sentence I heard? It's not like I'll let this girl go that easily. A year after I married her. I ignored her existence. However, I watched her from a distance.

I know how hard Piper is going through. That's because Piper is a maid who turned into my wife. Her status is truly beyond anyone's expectations.

"As long as I'm being nice to you, don't do anything stupid," I said.

"Don't come near me," she said as I stepped towards her. I didn't care; she wasn't the one who should have been giving me orders.

There was something I felt from Piper after I took her virginity. A few things were questionable for me, but I felt like I needed it.

"Please! Don't come any closer," she whined.

I was shocked to see her tears. Of course, I didn't expect her to be this fragile. Hadn't she been through a lot of hardships all this time?

Since I decided to marry her, as a form of my choice, I thought I was responsible for my pack and family. But when that situation happened, the betrayal I received made me like a wolf.

My wolf just smelled Piper's body scent, and indirectly, our desires chose Piper.

"Don't cry, I can't see you cry!" I ordered.

"Don't talk like you're human! You're not human."

"Wait, what?" my eyebrows furrowed in confusion. What the heck? Does Piper now think that just because I'm a werewolf, I don't have feelings like humans?

"I saw you turn into that creature; it was terrifying! How is that possible? Is this just a dream? No, right? I'm still sane enough to realize that this is reality!"

I took a deep breath. "What you saw was the truth. Do you think I was acting or something?"

Piper lowered her head for a moment. "Please let me and my brother go. Let us get out of here!"

"Are you willing to pay for all the losses?" I asked.

Suddenly, his eyes lifted, and his face became tense. I knew he was still struggling to collect money to pay his debts.

"Sir, how much do I have to pay? If that is the price I have to pay to divorce you and free my brother? Tell me, how much do I have to pay?" she asked, challenging me arrogantly.
