Chapter 151 Chapter One Hundred and Fifty One
I stared in shock as Farron drew closer, an uncomfortable feeling sitting in my chest. 

"You...what are you doing here?" A wide smile graced his face as he stared at me with a triumphant smile. 

"To see you my love of course. What else will I be doing here?" He drew closer and crouched down, leaning in to brush his fingers against my cheeks. I pulled away, an angry look on my face.

"How could you do this?"

"How could I? Do you have any idea what your family did to me? What they made me lose?"

"My parents treated you well" I snapped at him.

"Treated me well?" He scoffed loudly. 

"Everything I got from them, I deserved it. I worked hard for it" his voice grew louder and the children pressed themselves closer.

"And they thought they could throw me to the curb after that?" 

"What are you talking about?"

"Your damn parents were going to take the position away from me"

"What position? What are you talking about?"

"They decided not to name me the next alpha" he scoffed.

"After everything I did for them. The moment they found their daughter, they were going to discard me. And it's all your fucking fault. If you didn't get mated to that bastard alpha..."

"My parents spoke highly of you. If they decided not to name you the next alpha, it was because of something that you did. It has absolutely nothing to do with me"

"You don't get it do you?" Val spoke for the first time since Farron entered. 

"Your resurfacing was a damn problem for all of us!" She yelled.

"All of you?"

"Yes. We had a good plan. I was going to take over the pack. Val was going to be by my side. Five years of hard work were finally going to pay off" My vision blurred, my head swinging with strange images. None made sense at the moment. 

"Five years....the time I was kidnapped" Val scoffed.

"You were always so eager to run from the pack. You had everything handed over to you. A loving family, a chance to be the next Luna, and even the only man that I ever loved" I gasped, my eyes shifting between both of them.

"Yes. Farron was supposed to be mine until your father stole him for you by offering the alpha position"

"My disappearance from the pack was never about Elderman's plot"

"Elderman was only a way to get rid of you. He offered a chance and we took it"

"You were never kidnapped" Mama said she had gone missing a year after I was taken but she returned. 

She only returned because she was never kidnapped in the first place. 

"Of course not. It was an error on their part. I had gone to find Farron outside the pack. The men made a mistake and took me along with them. By the time Farron realized it, it was too late. But the moment he did, he took me out of there"

I looked between them. A memory stared right back at me but remained out of reach. 

"You worked with Elderman"

"I did what I needed to survive. I was born from nothing. I wasn't going to die without anything. I wanted a good life for myself"

"And betraying the only people who offered you something was the way to go?"

"He belonged to me?" Val jumped in, her face dark with malice. 

"That's okay Val. Take the children for now"

"No" I screamed. "They aren't going anywhere"

"You don't get to decide" Val snarled as she shoved me backwards and tried to take the girls.

"No..."

"Mama" the two of them screamed.

"Shut the hell up" Val snarled as she secured them both tightly and dragged them from my grip.

"No please! Let them stay with me. Please"

Farron chuckled as she dragged them along, their cries fading into the distance.

"Please. Let them stay with me. Don't hurt them"

"Nobody is hurting them. You obeyed my instructions carefully. I'll let them go. I'm a man of my word...unlike your father"

I ignored the jab and focused on him. 

"As long as you do what I ask you to, they can be with you until I let them go"

"I'll do anything. What do you need me to do?"

Farron chuckled again as he paced.

"It's funny that you risked your life. Not only for your daughter, but for a stranger"

"Salem is my daughter as much as Freya is"

"And I wonder if you'd be so eager to protect her if you knew whose daughter she really was"

I don't think hard before the word slips out. 

"Val"

"Always the smart one" he praised.

"You're her father" I muttered and he grinned even wider.

Farron drew closer again, sitting beside me.

"She wasn't supposed to happen" he said in a serious tone. 

"She was a mistake"

"Don't talk about her like that"

"I never wanted a child, not with Val"

"You love her"

"Love? Do you think I would have accepted your father's offer if I really felt anything for her?"

"Then?"

"She was a means to an end" the words struck me.

"Maybe when I was younger and foolish I actually felt something but the knowledge that I could become powerful, something bigger than I ever was, got rid of any feeling of love that I thought I had. Val was too slow to realize that but she was useful so I kept her around"

"You're cruel"

"Smart is the word"

I pieced the puzzle together.

"She thought it was a mistake but you intended for her to be taken too"

"I needed her contained for a while. Her presence was going to ruin my plans"

Farron spoke without emotion and it sickened me to my stomach.

To think about all he could have done just to make sure his plan worked.

"Did you set the fire at her home?" He shrugged.

"Saved her right after and she was so grateful she trusted me even more. And when I convinced her she needed the other part of her face burned so she'd be unrecognizable, she accepted because she was blinded by love"

My stomach churned with bile, a bitter taste rising in my throat. 

Farron was sick in the head.

"It has always been for one goal. To get you to be by my side"

"You got me kidnapped"

"You fought against our engagement. Despite my qualities, you didn't want the match. Elderman offered me a solution. He could brainwash you into believing you loved me. But he tricked me and made you forget everything instead. He kept me away from you and I couldn't fight back because I had no fucking power. No army"

He huffed as he jumped to his feet again.

"But that has come to an end now. You're back and you're going to be my mate"

"I'm mated already"

"I don't give a fuck. You will be my mate and you will be my Luna"

"What about Val?"

"She has played her part already. I have you now and I do not need her"

I looked up and my eyes clashed with Val's ruthless ones across the room.
