Together, As One
Eyes flutter open to the sudden coldness that consumes my body, limbs that were tired and worn out after the long journey now has gained back their strength after a good rest. Swallowing to soothe my thirsty dry throat a low moan leaves my lips whilst stretching my extremity.
The smell of burnt wood clouds the room under its ashy and stale cloak showing me the fire had died long before. The tent is silent however the chatter of wolves outside along with their loud and brutal grunts of training peeks in.
My heart picks up the pace when understanding of the current situation slowly begins to slither its way into my mind, I had slept here. Next to Deimos. Last night's heated events take their turn to come into light whilst my finger touches my lower lip. The presence of his lips upon mine battles with every other thought and emotion that wishes to surge.
A lingering feeling I have within me, a feeling that wishes to stay and make its home. A feeling that devourers me. The other side of the bed is empty, the sheets spread about and crumpled. Placing my palm over it sliding down the material feeling the coldness of it, he had left hours ago.
Knowing I must go inquire about his wellness I take a deep shaky breath, nervousness flooding my system to what he shall say to me. Sitting up tying my hair I prepare to place my feet upon the ground only for my heart to halt whilst a loud intake of breath is drawn from my side.
Deimos's wolf sits patiently by the bed his head placed over the softness, red eyes looking up at me from beneath his lashes resembling the aura of a pup analyzing my movements. He was silent as a ghost hiding, waiting patiently for me to awaken. As soon as our eyes meet his tail begins to wag body relaxed, ears to the side, tongue out he greets me.
Leaving the bed, kneeling upon the floor palms reach out to hold the sides of his face I bring him closer to me. Placing my forehead upon his I nudge him gently. I gift him with slow licks to his cheek and neck, my greeting to him. My wolf indulges in the feeling of having her male nearby, she rolls upon the floor belly up head tilted to the side tail wagging underneath. They love each other. Truly.
If only life were this easy for me and Deimos, things would be quite different for us. An easy path blessed by the moon. But that is not the case despite how hard we fight for the other.
His wolf turns around to the other side of the tent heavy paws padding softly upon the floor. He opens his jaw to pick up something holding it tightly in his mouth he trots back to where I kneel. As soon as he is near he drops it peering up back at me.
He has hunted a wild hare for us to eat fulfilling his duty. An Alpha always provides. The neck of the hare is crushed a sign of a swift and easy kill. Blood paints his mouth as his tongue licks it clean. Bending down he captures the hare in his mouth bones crushed with ease twisting half of the flesh he swallows filling his belly.
He has taken his share first leaving me the rest, seeing that I have made no move towards the meat he nudges it with his nose towards me. Claws extending I tear into the tender meat digging into its insides. It has not been skinned yet but brought to me fresh.
My hands and mouth are coated with its blood as I chew on the raw meat fangs cutting it down making it easier to swallow. As I eat, he watches on sitting comfortably on his hind legs. There is no human-like manners but a wildness in the way that I eat.
Once I have finished I lick my hands clean imitating that of a wolf as he walks forward to lick any remains that are left around my mouth. My belly full, I am warm and fed. I am content. I offer him a smile with teeth to show him my satisfaction.
He circles me slowly sniffing me now and then taking in my scent, wet nose nudging my cheek warm breath soothing my flesh. I let him do whatever he wishes whilst I clean myself further. Once he has finished his examination of me, he gives back control to who seeks it. Red eyes begin to manifest into deep rich emeralds whilst his spine rises and bends.
Fur sinking in, paws changing into hands birthing Deimos who stands up bare in front of me. I swallow loudly peering up at him, he who gazes down at me with his striking eyes. Bending down hands clutching my hips he picks me up in one harsh pull.
I fall into him with a gasp chest against chest, the only difference was mine was heaving and running wild with its beats. He stares into my soul as I stare into his. I am trying to see if he remembers anything.
He does not speak a word merely leaning towards me hot tongue seeping out his lips to lick the side of my mouth, so close one may call it a kiss. It is a slow lick one where our eyes are not taken away from the other. His eyes are drowning in flames beneath. "He did not clean you properly." Deimos murmurs speaking of his wolf.
His eyes scan my face to check if there are any further remains whilst I pray silently for it to exist. He offers a curt nod and lets go of me, a sudden extraction of his warmth leaves me aching. Yearning for it to return.
I do not dare say a word teeth sinking into my lower lip thoughts of last night consuming me, a sudden uneasiness of his memory. When he does not speak of last night, disappointment floods me. Do I want him to remember?
My eyes snap to his nakedness to check on the deep wounds that scarred his flesh. They had healed well, but I was right. He has more scars to add to his collection. But they seem dry, perhaps some ointment would do.
"Why did you come here?" His voice is deep but low. A question asked with no hesitation. Straight to the point no running around.
"Because you broke your promise." I reply turning away from his searching eyes striding to the small table washing my hands in a bowl filled with water now turned cold. Perhaps it merely looks as though I am washing up to be clean but I am running. I am putting space between us to calm the storm brewing within me.
Praying he does not notice my trembling flesh I rub my hands harsher, anger at myself swimming within me. "Why did you come here, mate?" He questions again a rise in the intensity of his voice. His voice somehow feels a little closer to me.
"I just told you, Deimos. You broke your promise, you hadn't returned in twelve days. I had to come and check if everything was all right." I mutter whilst grabbing a cloth to dry my wet hands.
"I shall ask you one last time. Why did you come here?" He whispers in my right ear hot breath blowing onto the shell of my ear. He is causing a catastrophe and he is unaware of it.
I turn swiftly eyes widening noticing his closeness to me, his hands move forward to hold onto the table to bound me in the space between leaving me with no chance of escape whilst my palms moves backwards to hold onto the wood for support. He cages me as I lean further away peering up at him.
"What do you want me to say?" I ask sinking deep into his eyes.
He merely tilts his head watching me with those seductive spell bounding emeralds. "The truth. Your truth."
"I did tell you just now."
"No, you did not. You forgot to mention the important bits. The parts where you say that you were worried for me. Where you say that you were afraid for me, that you wished to see me. This truth." He speaks with confidence. He knows everything yet he wants the words to leave my mouth. He taunts me, he sways me.
Nudging himself closer to me he pushes a stray strand of hair to a secured place behind my ear, eyes coming back to meet mine. Leaning toward my ear, "Say it." He urges whispered words ending with a pleading moan teeth bites into my ear lobe tugging and sucking on it. He is aware of what he is doing to me.
I take a slow low breath shutting my eyes close, nails digging into the wood. My body shivers violently goosebumps make their way about upon my flesh. A wildfire erupts within. One that he is able to create with no effort.
I should push him away, he is not under the influence of any drugs. I should walk away from this. Why is he being so free with me now? Where is the barrier that I had put between us for him to not cross? How is he so- my eyes widen as understanding sparks to light.
Eyes snap to him swiftly with questioning. "You remember?" I ask whilst I seek for his truth.
"Remember what?"
"Last night." I say breathlessly heart thundering within waiting patiently for his answer.
"You mean like how your cheeks flushed and your body heated up when I held you beneath me or how you whimpered and whined whilst I took your lips with no mercy. If this is what you have asked of me, then yes. Yes, I remember." He speaks with no shyness striking me directly. He is not a male to shy away from such things, this I know.
"If you think it possesses any meaning, kill the thought right away. It was a mistake I-I was being lenient with you. I was swayed it shall not happen again." I am quick to draw my sword at him with my truth but my words do not faze him in any way.
He merely looks down at me calmly. A few seconds it takes for him to digest my words a low forced chuckle leaves his lips. Eyes serious thumb placed upon my lower lip pressing onto it he whispers, "There are no such things as a mistake, mate. Only weakness. And I am your weakness."
Looking away acting as though his words have no effect on me I lean further away from him putting as much distance I can put between us. "I am going to ask you to move. If you do not within the next few seconds, I shall bite." I warn, a threat I give him.
"That just makes me want to stay, my female." He chuckles with a shake of his head as I allow a low annoyed growl to slip past my lips my fury filled eyes glaring up at him. Fangs elongate showing him I am not playing around.
His chuckles slowly die and the seriousness returns. He moves back paying heed to my words taking several steps away. "Thank you. For coming for me." I open my mouth to counterattack his words but he stops me. "You do not have to say anything for I am aware of what words you shall utter to oppose me. Just allow me to say this." He finishes.
The tent flaps are pushed open as a sweating Ragon peeks in. "Alpha. The truck is ready."
Deimos gives a curt nod to him in acknowledgement and turns back to me. "Make sure to escort her back home safely."
Frowning I peer up at him. "I will not leave right away. I wish to be of some help. I can fight." Cronus's threat to me last night crawls its way into my mind. Intimidation despite him not being present. Perhaps I am taking his threat lightly relying on the depth of our bond but I severely wish to be of some help.
Deimos folds his hands across his chest legs at ease he sways on his heels. He is quiet whilst his eyes sink into mine. Ragon stands behind hands clamped together at his back eyes down facing the floor, he waits patiently for Deimos's order.
"You will leave." Deimos's words are spoken high enough for every wolf to hear. Tone strong words of a true Alpha male.
"Is that an order?" A low growl booms from deep within my chest. An intense questioning look I give him. I dare him with my eyes, he is still the same. Never understanding, never listening. A flash of fang I show him, a sign of my upsetness.
"No. It is a request." He whispers. I am taken aback, he is not commanding rather requesting me to abide? I take a step back scanning him from head to toe struggling to find the truth in his words. "No, mate. You are still the same quick to assume, quick to throw your daggers at me. But I have changed, I listen to you. I understand you." My eyes widen at his words, a counterattack. He saw into me I had forgotten to have my walls up.
"Then listen to me when I say I wish to fight. I want to help you, Deimos." I mutter. Ragon stands behind Deimos still in the same position but I see his conflict. He does not know whether to stay and listen to our conversation or leave to give us privacy.
"The Alpha position is filled. I am the Alpha here. You are the Luna of our pack. If those whom we are in war with get a whiff of your presence here they have already won. Our pack is unguarded with the both of us here. They will attack them with no mercy, a headstart they shall possess over us and must I guess whom shall be their prime target?" Deimos questions.
"Kal." I whisper with a shake of my head taking further steps away from him.
"Indeed. I need you to remember your role. You are not the Alpha anymore, heading into war is not your duty. Yours is to nurture and be the mother of our pack though I know you are more capable than that. I shall call on your strength when I need it. Head back." His words sadden me to the core catching me breathless. Yet his words hold the truth. His words reflect the reality of the hierarchy.
I shut my eyes an inner battle within myself. I am torn apart for two sides are fighting inside me. My wolf snarls her fangs dripping with her saliva on display her fur ruffled she wants to show him her trueness, her strength of what she can handle. What or whom she can bring down.
Deimos waits for my decision with patience that he once did not possess. I give a curt nod of my understanding not meeting his eyes so he is unaware of the presence of my wolf who wishes to come to the surface and take his throat. She feels as though she is being stripped from her true essence by him. This infuriates her immensely.
Ragon is quick to walk out lifting the tent flap for me to follow with ease. With anger that surges within me held at bay, I stride away from Deimos not giving him another glance. Before I take my final step his palm clamps around my wrist halting my movement.
"You risking your life coming here for me shows what you fear to truly feel and say. I shall fight this battle well so I can return home to you and Kal. Will you wait for me, mate?" His voice is soft and soothing. The grip on my wrist tightens gently as if he was unwilling to let me go.
Taking a deep breath digesting his sweet but cruel words to me I remove my wrist from his hold swiftly. Walking ahead still not looking back head held high I whisper, "Kal will wait for you."
The last of him I hear is his loud booming laugh at my words as if he found my antics and words amusing. I follow Ragon to the truck Cronus's promised warrior to escort me nowhere in sight. Perhaps Cronus and Deimos have already talked on this matter.
"Why are you escorting me?" I ask Ragon whilst he opens the passenger door for me to climb in.
"Now that Alpha Cronus's warriors are here there is no need for my presence. Furthermore, Alpha Deimos trusts me to escort you, Luna." Ragon answers whilst he shuts the truck door behind me.
I give him a nod of understanding as he starts the engine. Rolling the windows down allowing the wind to calm my heated cheeks I peek back at the tent. Deimos stands there his emeralds stuck upon my flesh. I feel it, the sudden loneliness and lack of warmth he feels. His want to cage me and keep me with him at all times. I understand it.
Because I feel it too, Deimos. But I shall never tell you that. We shall remain the same way we are, not enemies, not friends, not lovers. We shall be something that possesses no title merely being close yet somehow utterly devastatingly far from the other.
The journey back to our pack was better than my own. Ragon was there to lighten the mood, my upsetness with him drifting away. He would guard me whilst I washed in the cold streams and would hunt food for me for we had none with us.
He would ask me of my past life and family and I would answer him with no hesitation. It was no secret I wished to hide anymore, it was neither an embarrassment nor memories I wished to forget. They made me who I am today.
Ragon knew the path back home with all its shortcuts and turns. There was no need for maps or directions he made the journey smooth and stress-free. He made it into a short trip and I somehow felt grateful.
When we sneaked into our pack with Elriam's help I was held captive by her embrace as she told of me how worried she was for me and how Kal had dealt well with my disappearance. My male was truly strong he brought me pride.
The pack did not question much of my whereabouts holding their respect to my title and private choices and Ragon was there to help water down the fire of questioning and curiosity with his talks of Deimos and the war diverting the topic swiftly.
Deimos had arrived with his warriors a week later bruised but not scarred. He had fought well as he promised me. We all had waited at the gates for them, my heart rejoiced and skipped beats when he stepped onto our lands whilst his scent lulled me closer to his flesh. Kal had awoken briskly whilst he dangled his limbs shrieking demanding his greeting from his father.
The females sang their song of welcome and victory running into the open arms of the males they held dear to them. Deimos watched me keenly perhaps he hoped that I would do the same and run to him. But that look he held in his eyes showed me he knew. He knew I would not have granted what he wished for.
We formally acknowledged each other for all to witness as a positive sign of our bond. Despite how worn out and tired he was he made sure to deal with the overgrown fear of the wolves. However, what surprised us was another foreign truck, not ours that entered our pack lands carrying females and pups huddled together at the back.
Confusion was what had struck me at first but the way Deimos had looked at them was not of disgust or fury but understanding. They were members of the independent pack, he had given them a choice. They could die on their pack lands or return here with him under his rule. He would protect them, he would provide for them. A new life he offered them and they followed with no hesitation.
Our pack members were upset with this drowning in fury for they did not wish them to filthy our pack lands with their disgusting bloodline after all it is under their Alpha's command many of ours were killed. But I had taken the first step and reached forward. I held my hand up for the females to take and climb down the truck. This action had silenced our pack and surprised those in the truck. They watched me with widened eyes and trembling bodies.
This action of mine had also brought a soft prideful smile on Deimos's face as he watched on. One by one I comforted and welcomed them into our lands. It did not matter that they held enemy blood what truly mattered was that they needed a place to call home. They needed the right path to walk upon.
That night Deimos and I sat together in his office to discuss the future of these new wolves. An official ceremony would be held to welcome them in as pack members only and if they proved themselves as trustworthy. It was the first time in a long time him and I smiled at one another. His emeralds shone brighter than ever under the moon's light. A beautiful specimen I had thought.
Whilst the females and pups slowly started to assimilate into our pack Deimos had begun to teach me the art of knives, something I was quite unfamiliar with. It was an art taught in his pack to the future heirs. An art Kal must learn with vigour.
It was unusual to strike your partner with a knife whilst sparring for knives were throw from a distance aimed straight for the kill. But with Deimos, I learn new things every day. He challenges me, he helps me grow stronger.
"Your strikes at me are pup like. If I can surpass you like this, so will the enemy." Deimos yells easily dodging my attacks as if he could predict them. "Find my weak point."
Chest heaving fury rising I glare at him sinking my teeth into my lips trying to shut the words that wish to spill. Despite his relentless harsh training Deimos is distracted today, his mind seems elsewhere. He is troubled, he is in fear. It reflects on the training no matter how hard he is trying to hide from my eyes.
From a distance, I see the female who has haunted my dreams the past nights. She watches us train with curiosity her eyes often stuck upon my flesh. I remember the first time I saw her when helping her down from the truck. The way tears came forth swiftly, the way my lungs were briskly deprived of air, the way my soul wept. Her resemblance to the female of sin was unbearably close.
The elders were drawn to her just as I was. They praised the goddess saying it was the return of the female of sin. Saying this was meant to be that it was the moon's plan. Deimos stared at her as well his eyes wide and cautious and he knew just then. He and I shall be back to step one once again.
This female is nothing like the female of sin rather she is kind and sweet and truly beautiful. The males are drawn to her beauty their eyes linger on her flesh thirsting for her hips, her breasts. But when I see her all I am reminded of is his betrayal. A constant reminder of what our path is.
I struggle to breathe lips quivering the knives in my hand tremble with the weight of my heavy heart. I can never truly be free from this, I am cursed. The memories of what I had been through five months ago despite my struggle to slow healing creeps to the front of my mind.
This is a coincidence some say, this is fate the others say. This is my shame I say and this is a punishment Deimos says. He ignores her like the plague, it has become a sort of trauma for him. He cannot stand being close to her, it kills him because he knows I shall bleed.
Gripping the knives tighter in my hands my burning gaze meets his, he frowns deeply a questioning look from his eyes. He does not understand where my fury has risen from. Portraying the steps he taught me I am quick to attack my rage my fuel.
He tries to dodge my strikes for they are neither practice nor playful attacks but real ones. I see red, my eyes glancing at her every few seconds. This is her doing, the female of sin. I know she is laughing from hell's pit cackling to the outcome of her gift to me.
"My female." His voice is soothing trying to comfort me whilst I cut him. Cut him the same way he has done to me.
The knives sink deep into flesh, tearing him apart. He stops fighting me. He had stopped sparring long ago. I did not notice it for my knives are raised to aim only to plunge into his chest hoping he would feel the misery that has resurrected within me.
He bleeds, blood gushing out the wounds that I give him whilst he stands still making no movement taking my strikes with low painful grunts eyes closed fists clenched at his sides. The female's eyes widen to this and she scurries away. Her interest manifests into fear as she flees.
My eyes go to his throat that gives him life, screaming my voice high pitched I dive straight for it. He is quick to act grabbing me by my wrist as I struggle against his hold yelling and shrieking like a mad wolf. Perhaps I have lost my mind in a way, perhaps my anger has consumed me completely. His eyes slowly flutter open as he peers at me.
"Is this your way of showing me the pain and anger you feel? Is this because of that female, has she brought you sorrow for she reminds you of my chosen? If that is the case then I shall take what you give me but I will not give you my throat for I cannot leave you mateless and my male fatherless." His questions are asked softly but his eyes hold seriousnesses sinking deep searching for my truth.
Low snarls leave my lips chest heaving with hatred that pours out my pores. Hatred not of him but the entirety of this sudden and new situation. "I am already mateless." I roar as his eyes broaden to my words. "You have no meaning to me."
Hands thrust forward to clutch my hips he pulls me in a harsh and swift tug as I am stood in front of him his breath hot and heavy upon my flesh. I struggle to extract myself from his clutch but his strength overpowers me. I have made him angry.
His cool and glorious emeralds dig deep into mine as he keeps me in position with ease. "Say that again." He dares me with a small murmur eyes move to my lips waiting for me to repeat the words. A dare I take up with no hesitation.
"I am matel-" I am unable to finish the words for he swoops in swiftly pushing his lips onto mine. It was not a gentle kiss but a harsh one filled with his wrath. Eyes widening my nails dig into his flesh scratching his arms my fight to shove him away strengthens.
He lets me go not because I want him to but because that is what he wishes. He leans back and waits patiently eyes twitching lips in a straight line. He watches on expressionless with an eerie calmness that arrests him.
"I said, I am already matele-" Wanting to show him I will not back down that I will speak my truth I rush with my words faster to finish saying it. I do end up saying it but into his mouth for he has captured my lips once more. Tongue thrusts deep fangs sink into my lower lip to draw blood, he kisses me relentlessly a scorching furious passionate kiss he gives me.
Heart pounding chest heaving I stare up at him. What is wrong with his male? How dare he do this to me without my consent?
"You have anything else to say? If you do have more painful words for me, go ahead. But know that I will kiss you before it fully leaves your lips." He warns his perfectly conscious eyes peering down at me. A threat with a sweet outcome he delivers to me.
Wiping my blood that drips down my chin I meet his soft gaze with a fiery glare. Lifting my knee thrusting it towards his cock I stop before the bone meets the soft flesh. My threat I give him, that if he tried to kiss me again I will not think twice the next time.
He watches this lips twitching to smile, a soft chuckle leaves his lips. He finds my behaviour amusing. But his playfulness is quick to die when his eyes land upon his wristwatch. A sudden tension-filled coldness looms over us. The smile is stripped from his face replaced by a saddened deep frown.
Confusion takes its hit at me for I am unable to comprehend the sudden change of auras. I did notice his anxiety throughout the training but something seems to be terribly wrong.
"The time has arrived. I need you to follow me to the main pack lands. You must be present, I have told Elriam to bring our male for he is the key." Deimos whispers to me peering back at Ragon who was now strode forward from the shadows waiting for his Alpha.
"What is going on?" I question. This sudden instruction fills me with uneasiness.
"You shall see." He replies whilst buttoning up the cuffs of his long-sleeved crisp white shirt and his collar, he makes himself look formal. Head high spine straight chin up he gives me a striking gaze. A look of an Alpha. The wolf on top of the food chain is preparing himself.
Whilst my heavy frown deepens he strides with confidence forward down the path leading to the pack lands with Ragon hot on his heels. He reads to Deimos from the paper he clutches tightly in his hands as Deimos keeps nodding to what Ragon utters in acknowledgement.
I follow them in silence without another word passing through my lips eyes scanning the surroundings as wolves stop their chatter and are quick to make way for him. They all feel it, the power radiating from him the pheromones he lets loose to saturate the air. A wave of electrifying current he sends through for all to engage with.
Mothers carry their shrieking pups instructing them to quieten to stop playing for something is about to happen. My heart has not stopped pounding, I feel all that he feels. His anxiety, his fear, his nervousness. It is a feeling caged in the pit of my stomach and it brings a vile taste to my mouth, an unstoppable gag leaves my lips. He feels unwell.
Deimos climbs up on the stage each step he takes has the floorboard groan and cry with the weight of his heavy powerful steps. He has no need to command silence for it is given to him merely by the look upon his face and his stance. All eyes are on him waiting for what he is about to deliver.
"Two things." He begins his voice booming across the area hands clasped behind his back as he peers down at all of us. I am supposed to stand at his right but I do not, I was not informed of this. Standing on his right would mean I have learnt and accepted what he shall deliver but that is not the case so I stand among the pack listening for the very first time.
"I have two things that I must bring forward. First, my female and I have decided that the new wolves who have chosen a new righteous path to be among us shall have their official welcoming ceremony. We will hold them as ours." The first strike he delivers to the pack. There is an immediate division, a swift separation of voices. The chatter begins wolves whispering of his words ear to ear. Low growls of opposition have begun their disgust of the new wolves showed visibly without shame.
"We are a pack who follow the path to the moon, we will welcome them for they have chosen us and we must choose them. I understand the fury that swims within you all but these wolves are innocent they were pulled along. Empathize. Share your pain and seek theirs and you shall find how similar we all are." He continues encouraging them speaking of what is right. This brings pride to bloom within me as I gaze up at him.
"Second." He starts refusing to acknowledge the wolves who have their fangs elongated out of anger brimming under surface. He takes a deep breath eyes shut fists clenched at his sides. He is afraid. I take a step towards him involuntarily an instinct that pulls at me, to get to him.
His eyes gaze up at the sky and he says something, a low mutter of words I cannot hear. Ragon takes a step closer to his Alpha, he takes on a warrior's stance one that is done at war to protect the Alpha. I do not understand why Ragon feels the need to do this for Deimos has not said anything that shall cause severe outrage.
"My sins are many. Many that are unforgivable, many that cannot be swept away no matter how harsh the tides. But among those sins of mine, I noticed the blessings from the moon that I did not deserve." Stormy emeralds shift from the sky to scan the sea of wolves, he meets each of them with his eyes in acknowledgement. "I thought what I was doing was right. That what I had known was the truth I must follow. But I was wrong. My wrongdoings had torn apart the blessings that I tried hard to shelter and protect. However, I noticed I had failed. Failed to protect them from one prime beast. *Myself*."
My heart has not calmed for there is no peace that soothes me but a raging storm that shakes me up and instils fear. Wolves are becoming impatient many afraid and uneasy of what shall come out of their Alpha's mouth next. "There is to be change in this pack. A new beginning for our future. One that shall perhaps one day make my male look up at me and say of his pride towards me. One that shall convert Kal's throne of thorns to roses."
"What change is it, Alpha Deimos?" One of the elders has raised her voice to question him, her eyes daring him to say it. Her accusing grey eyes meet mine almost as if she is saying I am the cause of what is coming.
His eyes meet mine, he derives his support from me despite me not offering it. Me just being here strengthens him."The tradition of the chosen shall end with me." He finishes his cautious emeralds holding onto me for life. Yet he stands tall on that stage, his warrior spirit wields control.
His words end with a harsh breath drawn in by me. There is a moment of complete silence but as his words begin to register roars erupt, loud screaming of knives are thrown at him. He stands still taking in the outrage of their disappointment of how this is a bigger sin than all he has committed. He knew this would come.
"This change, we shall welcome it together. *Together, as one.*" He whispers into the burning chaos he has created. The chaos that shall be hard for him to survive through.
