Another two weeks passed pretty quickly.Everything in our kingdom was going just fine. Business between our kingdom and other kingdoms was doing great.

Southern Kingdom was trading with Mountain Pack and I was happy that we were on good terms. Seb came to visit the South often to observe the market in the South and studied ways to improve on his side.

Sometimes Sebastian came along with Alexa to visit us.The twins were growing fast and they were healthy. Grandpa was so happy to see his grandchildren grow into strong and healthy kids. He was always happy whenever Alexa came to visit us.

"You need to get some sleep,"My mind jolted back to the present when I heard Luciano's voice. He pulled me into his arms and planted a gentle kiss on my hair.

Luciano took half a day off from his kingship duties to spend some time with me. We went for our usual walks in the evening and it felt so good to hold hands as we walked around. My lips curved into a smile when the day's events clouded my mind.

"You need to get some rest,Hazel.I know you're exhausted,unless you want something else that is keeping you awake."Luciano said and chuckled.Whatever he was talking about,I know he was up to no good.Well,he has never been up to any good from the start.So I wasn't that surprised.

"You can always ask for whatever you want and it will be my pleasure to give it to you.I'm not that mean,you know."Luciano couldn't stop teasing around.I pinched him on the chest and he groaned.

"Ouch,that hurts.What is that for? I was just trying to reason out."Luciano grumbled and pulled me close to himself.

I woke up to a stinging pain in the lower part of my stomach and I Couldn't help but groan.I cling on Luciano so tightly as though doing so would help the pain fade away.

"Hazel,are you okay?"My husband asked me.I saw worry in his eyes. Before I could respond to his question, another pain shot through my waist and I hissed, holding onto the sheets so tightly.

"I think I'm having labour pains, "I said andLuciano's eyes widened when he heard my words.

"Lena,my wife is having labour pains."I heard Luciano inform the main doctor of the royal hospital."I'm on my way, your highness."She answered in respect and I heard worry in her voice.

I know she was worried because she was going to handle the queen of the South. If she does anything that will harm me, she will be answerable.

"Hazel,just breathe okay? I'm here by your side.I'm not going to leave.It's going to be fine.I have already informed the doctors and she's on her way just,hold on a little longer.Just hang on there for me,for our babies.''Luciano told me and I nodded my head vigorously, holding onto my waist tightly as though doing so would help reduce the labour pains. However, it only got worse with each passing second.

"Does it hurt so much? What can I do to help ease the pain?Is there a way I can help out?"Luciano asked desperately and I could tell that he really wanted to help me so that the pain could go away.Unfortunately,there was nothing he could do about it because I have to go through the labour pains to give birth to the twins.There is no escape.

"My mother, you need to inform my mother," I told Luciano and he nodded her head vigorously.

There was a knock on the door and Luciano rushed to open the door to whoever was knocking. It was the doctors and they had come with the bed.

"Your Highness,we need to take you to the hospital so that it can be effective for us to take good care of you."Lena bowed her head at me. I tried to put on a smile but it was short-lived when another pain shot through my veins and I hissed in pain.

Before I could even wrap my head around what was going on,Luciano lifted me from the floor carefully and laid me on the bed.

"Please don't leave me, Luciano."I pleaded, clinging onto his arm so tightly."I'm not going to leave your side,I promise.I will be there so that we can welcome our babies together.I'm not going to leave…"He planted a gentle on my forehead and it helped me feel a little bit better when he assured me.

I was afraid that something crucial could come up that needs his full attention.I was scared that Luciano would leave me all alone to take care of the kingdom because for a leader,the kingdom comes first.The lives of the kingdom's members are more important than a single person's life.

I hope that nothing won't come up that will snatch his attention away from me.I want Luciano to be around as I go through everything.I want him to be around so that we can welcome our babies together.

The doctor dragged the hospital bed out of our room and we headed to the royal hospital.I didn't leave Luciano's hand and he didn't let mine go either. He walked by the bedside,my eyes never leaving him.I was afraid that he might disappear if I blink.

"I'm here by your side, my love."He assured me again and I nodded at his words.

"Hazel…"I heard my mother shout and I slightly raised my head to look in her direction. She was running towards us, accompanied by Monalisa.Even if I was in pain, my lips curved into a smile because my family was there to help me get through everything.

We arrived at the royal hospital and the doctor took me to the queen's special room inside the hospital. It was so luxurious and looked like a mini palace.However,I didn't have that much time to admire it.

"Princess,your mother is here."She held onto my hand and gave it a tight squeeze."You are a strong girl.I know you can do this. Your mother is here to help you go through it."She said and I nodded.

I climbed down from the bed and began to walk around the room.I know walking around will help a lot.

"Just breathe my love.Hold on, it's going to be alright."Luciano encouraged me, as I walked around the room. I didn't have time to respond to his words.

Monalisa,my mother and Luciano were there to support me.They told me encouraging words and it gave me the courage to continue fighting.The doctors checked on me often just to make sure that I was doing alright.

I cursed and said all sorts of things. I blamed Luciano for making me pregnant. However, he didn't get offended or feel bad about it. Instead, he assured me that it's going to be fine.That he is not going to leave by my side no matter what happens.

"Your highness,there is an attack on the western part of our kingdom.The sirens have attacked our kingdom at the sea part."I heard Gamma Jona's worried voice in my head and I turned my head to look at Luciano,fear creeping into my heart.

"Damn it! Why did they have to attack our kingdom during this time!"Luciano cursed through gritted teeth and ran his fingers through his jet black hair and held onto it so tightly.

"My wife is going through labour and there is no way that I'm going to leave her,Jonas.She needs me now more than ever "I heard Luciano tell Jonas through the mind link.

"But they are unstoppable,your highness.I think they have been preparing for this fight for way too long."Jonas said in a worried voice.

"We have the weapons to fight the sirens.I'm giving you the permission to go in the safe house and take the weapons."Luciano informed his Gamma.

"Okay,I'm sending more soldiers to fight them.I'm taking the weapons with me!"Jonas said and cut off the mind link.Luciano looked at me and I flashed him a gentle smile despite the labour pain.

I was happy that Luciano chose me over the kingdom.I wanted to hug him so tightly and kiss him so passionately but I couldn't do it in my current state.

I just hoped that Gamma Jonas,Hades and Mark would team up and defeat the Sirens.

"I'm going nowhere,my love."He assured me and the corner of his lips curved into a re-assurance smile.He walked towards me and rubbed my back gently because I felt as though it was going to break in the next second.

The doctors came to check on me for what seemed like the hundredth time.I was tired of them checking me and informed me that the babies were not close enough.

"You better make sure that everything is fine.Incase you do anything that will put my babies and wife at risk,you will be answerable!"Luciano threatened the doctor and I felt so bad for them.

"We are trying our best,your highness."Lena bowed her head and then looked at me."We need to check how far away the babies are."She informed me and I nodded in understanding.

"I can see the head," She announced. I looked at Luciano nervously and he nodded at me, reminding me that he wasn't going anywhere.

"I would like you to prepare yourself to push,  your highness."The doctor informed me and I nodded vigorously at her words.I really wanted the twins to come out so badly. It has been hours of unending labour pain.

"I will count from one to three.When it reaches three,you push."She explained to me, "Let's do it already.''I said impatiently and held onto Luciano's hand so tightly.

"One, two, three…"The doctor began the countdown and I pushed with all the energy that was in my veins but still nothing.

"What is taking them so long to come out!"I said through gritted teeth.

"Just breathe, it's going to be fine."Luciano encouraged,giving my hand a gentle squeeze.  The countdown began and when it reached three,I pushed but they didn't come out again and it made me so worried and pissed off.I gave another shot and finally one of the twins came out and the sharp cry of the newborn filled the air.

After ten minutes, I gave birth to the other twin and the cry of the newborn filled the air once again.I effortlessly collapsed on the bed since all the energy was drained from my veins.

"My babiesI want to see my babies."I said in a weak voice.Even though I felt exhausted,I wanted to see my babies and hold them in my arms.I have been waiting for the day that I would finally hold the twins in my hands and the day was finally here.

"You did it, my love!"Luciano planted a kiss on my sweaty forehead and I saw happiness in his eyes.

My mother and Monalisa walked to the bed where I was lying with the babies in their arms and I couldn't help but smile.Luciano helped me to sit on the bed and placed the pillow at my back to support me.

"Congratulations,Hazel.They look so cute."Monalisa said and I saw the happiness on her face as she looked at the twin that she was carrying in her arms.Behind those green eyes of Monalisa,I saw some unexplainable sadness.I know the babies reminded Monalisa of her daughter Aurora.

Monalisa informed us that she was pregnant over dinner one week ago and I was so happy for her.I just hope that she will have another bundle of joy soon.I want to see her happy so badly.I would like to see Monalisa hold her baby in her arms and a smile on her face some day.

"Thank you for being here for me, Monalisa."I told her and she smiled at me then handed me the twin that she was holding in her arms.

I opened my arms to receive my baby, holding her with the utmost care.She looked so innocent when I looked at her face and fisted hands.Tears flowed from my eyes, tears of happiness.

Luciano took the other twin from my mother and sat at the edge of the bed next to me, holding the baby boy in his arms.Luciano showed me the baby in his arms and more tears flowed from my eyes.

"They have grey eyes like their father."My mother said.I looked at the girl in my arms and touched her little hands.I turned my head to look at the boy in Luciano's arms and smiled, indeed they had grey eyes like their father's.

Happiness was written all over my mother's face when I looked at her and I couldn't help but flash her a smile.I was so happy that my mother stayed by my side throughout the labour and she was still by my side to share with me the happiness of welcoming the babies in our family.

I know she's going to be a great grandmother to our babies.I just hope that she won't spoil them too much.

"Angelina, my little princess."I talked to the innocent baby in my arms.I raised my head to look back at my son in Luciano's arms.Our son"Angelo my little boy."I called in a gentle voice as though he could hear me.

"Dad and Mommy are going to take good care of you."I looked at Luciano and he smiled broadly when he heard my words.

Just like everyone else, Luciano and I have shortcomings. However, we will try our best to raise our babies in the right way.We will always listen to them and guide them to the right path.

We are going to protect them and make sure that they don't feel different because they are half-breed. I don't want my babies to experience what I went through.

Even though Luciano had abolished the forbidden rule and established equality. There are some Lycans who are still looking down upon werewolves and half-breeds.I won't allow my babies to face the same hostility! I will protect them from this cruel world!

"Dad is going to protect you from anyone who wants to harm you!"Luciano said in a firm voice and tears flowed from my eyes when I head his assuring words.I was holding the twins in my arms and Luciano was beside me, he helped me to hold them so that they don't slip from my hands. He pressed his lips on my forehead and I closed my eyes.
