TWO WEEKS LATER

The day that I have been waiting for for months is finally here. The day that Luciano is going to show the whole world that I'm his to hold and keep. I heaved a nervous sigh as the make-up artist continued to do there magic on my face, preparing me for the big day ahead of me.

I spent the night in my mother's room and she woke me up early in the morning so that I could get ready for the day ahead of me.

According to our traditions, I couldn't spend the night with Luciano before our wedding. I tried my best to get some sleep but I couldn't bring myself to sleep because I was anxious.Monalisa stayed in my mother's room for some time then went to her room to have a rest. 

Alexa and Sebastian have come back to the Southern kingdom again to attend my wedding.

The make-up artists stepped aside when they were done with their work. I was sitting on the chair before the vanity mirror, I turned my head to look at myself and my lips curved into a satisfied smile.

"You look so beautiful."My mother complimented. I turned around to look at her and I couldn't help but smile.My mother walked towards me.She sat on the wooden chair then held my hands,she heaved a deep sigh and gave my hand a small squeeze.

"I can see in your eyes that you are nervous.It's okay to feel nervous."Her lips curved into a smile.

"I can't explain how I'm eagerly waiting to watch you walk down the aisle holding a banquet of flowers in your hands."My mother's lips curved into a smile.Her voice was gentle and slow,but loud enough for me to hear what she was saying.

"You deserve to be happy after everything that you have gone through. I wish you all the blessings that the moon goddess can offer."I blinked countless times when I heard my mother's words, holding tears so that I couldn't destroy the make-up by crying my eyes out.

"I'm so happy that you're around to watch me get married to Luciano, mother.It means the world to me.I'm happy that I found you after all those years."I paused and heaved a deep sigh, giving her hand a gentle squeeze.

"When I got married to Sebastian back in the days,there was no one by my side to walk me down the aisle because Dad was already dead and you, "I paused once again and tears streamed down my cheeks.

"You were not around either. I didn't have anyone to share the happy moments with. Even though I was happy that I was finally getting married, deep down I was sad because there was no one from my family to share with me the happiness. I was all alone. I walked down the aisle all alone."More tears streamed down my cheeks when the memories clouded my mind.

I tried to hold back tears, however, the emotions got the better of me and I couldn't hold anymore.I just let tears flow freely.

"I'm sorry that I wasn't there to walk you down the aisle and share with you the happiest moments of your life,"My mother cradled my face and I closed my eyes.

"You don't need to worry about being all alone today. Your mother is here and she will walk you down the aisle. You're not going to be all alone today.I'm here to share the happy moment of your life with you."Her lips curved into a smile and she pulled me into a tight hug, gently patting my back.

"You have already destroyed your makeup.I think the make-up artist will have to retouch it again."My mother said after pulling off from the hug and I nodded.

"I got too emotional."I chuckled and she nodded. The make-up artist re-touched my make-up and my mother's as well.

The door clicked open and the girls walked in, Monalisa and Alexa. They were wearing pink silk, matching dresses since they are my flower girls. They looked so beautiful with their hair pulled into a burn, leaving some hair strands hanging on each side of their faces.

The girls smiled at me and I saw the happiness in their faces.

"You look so beautiful, Hazel."Monalisa complimented and I couldn't help but smile.

"I'm happy for you."Monalisa said and I could feel the happiness in her voice. She was wearing an engagement ring on her finger. Jonas proposed to her a few days ago and I was so happy for them.

"I'm happy for you too.You just got engaged to your fated mate few days ago."I looked at her hand and she smiled, looking at the engagement ring."I can't wait to officially get married to Jonas."She said, running her finger over the engagement ring.

Alexa congratulated me and they helped me to get ready since we were running out of time. The gown was comfortable and it fitted me perfectly with the big baby bump now that I'm eight months pregnant.

Even though this is my second wedding, I felt so nervous. I felt as though it was my first time getting married. I couldn't help but wonder if Luciano was nervous and excited to get married to me too.

I wanted to call Luciano just to hear his voice after being away from him for hours. However, Monalisa snatched the phone when I was about to dial his number. She said that Luciano would only see me when I walk down the aisle and he will only hear my voice when I say the vows.

I was pissed off by Monalisa but she was backed up by my mother and Alexa. I looked at myself in the mirror for a millionth time and I couldn't get over how beautiful I looked.

"Breath in, breath out, "Monalisa told me and I complied. I was happy that my family was around to support me. Monalisa is a friend who became a family. She is like an older sister whom I never had.Lisa is always there to make sure that I'm fine.Some times she gave me strength when I was loosing it.We have gone through our darkest days together and we survived.

"Thank you for always being by my side.I don't know what I would have done without your support.You gave me strength when I felt as though the world was going against me."I said, my lips curving into a smile.

"I will always be here for you,Hazel."She smiled back at me and we hugged so tightly. Monalisa and I shared the same story, her husband found his fated mate and Lisa was left all alone and abandoned. We were both taken to the South as captives and this is where our road to happiness began.

"I don't want to ruin my makeup again," I blinked countless times to hold back tears. I know it would take time to retouch the make and time was not on our side.

The wooden mahogany door clicked open and Grandpa walked in, he was wearing a grey suit with a white spotless shirt beneath the coat suit. His grey hair was brushed away from the face.

"The groom is ready," He informed us and my heart pounded wildly against my ribcage. Grandpa looked at my mother and I could see the care in his eyes.

My grip on the flowers tightened with each step. I could hear my heart thumping in my ear as I walked in the castle's hallway that led to the backyard where the wedding would be taking place.

Only our families and close friends are the people who are attending the wedding.We wanted to share the most important event in our lives with people close to us.

I turned my head to look at my mother and she smiled at me. I saw the happiness in her eyes. I'm glad that she is here to watch her daughter get married to the love of her life.

"It's okay, don't worry because I'm by your side."She assured me through the mind link. Her words were comforting and it made me want to shade tears but I blinked countless times to hold back.

We finally reached the exit and the red carpet was laid on the ground for me to step on. I closed my eyes and took a deep breath when reality hit me more harder than before. Luciano and I are going to get married.

Slowly,I raised my head and peeked under the white veil.I looked at Luciano who couldn't stop smiling.

The guests were sitting on each side and the red carpet was in the middle.The decoration was perfect and I liked it so much. Pink and white flower petals were scattered on the red carpet and it looked alluring. The theme was pink and white and it looked so amazing.  All the faces were smiling at me and it only made me more nervous.

I spotted Marcus amongst the guests and he smiled at me brightly.I know Marcus couldn't miss this wedding because he's a close friend of Luciano.Queens, kings and other royals were dressed in royalty to show power and wealth since they were attending the royal wedding.

"MINE!"I heard Luciano's voice in my head and smiled under the veil.I walked with my mother at my side.I didn't want to rush my steps because it is my day. The day I have been waiting for since our paths crossed.

The queen and Mark were present too and I didn't miss the smile on their faces. I know they love Luciano so much and they wish him all the blessings that the moon goddess can offer.

The thought of it reminded me of when Luciano fell sick a week ago.The former queen and Mark were so worried about him and they couldn't leave his bedside in the royal hospital.That is when I knew that they loved me very much.

My heart pounded wildly against my ribcage with each step that I took towards Luciano. He stared at me since I appeared at the backyard's entrance.Luciano didn't tear his eyes off me or blinked even for a second.  His stare was making me have goosebumps.It felt as though everything had disappeared, leaving just the two of us.

He was wearing a royal, well-ironed black suit with a white shirt beneath it and a golden robe to show power.

My mother and I reached where Luciano and the royal judge were standing,at the altar. My mother gently held my hand and handed me over to Luciano.

"Luciano,  today I fully give you my daughter. All I'm asking you is to take good care of her.  I give you the blessings so that you can officially marry her and have a good life."My mother's voice was in a whisper but loud enough for Luciano to hear her words.  Luciano took my hand, he looked at me then looked back at my mother and smiled warmly at her.

"I promise that I'm going to take good care of your daughter, mother.Thank you for trusting me and giving me your daughter. I love her so much.I promise that I will take good care of her and protect her."Luciano assured my mother and she smiled broadly. I saw tears in my mother's eyes but she blinked countless, holding back tears.

"You have my blessings to marry the man you love, princess."She paused and looked at me with gentle eyes.

"Your mother loves you so much.I bless you."She said in a lovely voice and the tears that she was trying so hard to hold back streamed down her cheeks.

"I love you too mother.Thank you for being here with me."I told my mother, taking a deep breath to calm down.She wiped tears from her eyes and nodded, then turned around and walked to the crowd.  My mother sat beside her mate who pulled her into a side embrace and planted a gentle on her hair.

Heaving another slow sigh.I turned my head to look at Luciano and he smiled.  All eyes were on us and it was silent,even a pin drop could be heard.

Slowly, Luciano let my hand go and I felt some unexplainable emptiness all of a sudden but I took a deep breath.It's just a matter of time and he's going to hold my hand for a lifetime.

"Luciano Hernandez, do you take Hazel Del Mundo to be your legal wedded life,  to love and cherish in times of wealth and poor, happiness and sadness till death do you path?"The royal judge asked.My heartbeat palpated as I waited for Luciano to respond to the question.He looked at me and his lips curved into a smile.A smile that took my breath away.

"Yes,I do."He said in a firm voice and I heaved a deep sigh. I didn't know that I was holding my breath until he responded to the judge's question.

He picked up the pure gold ring and held my hand. Luciano looked me straight in the eyes as he slowly slide the  ring on my finger, taking his time. 

The ring was cold against my finger but I swallowed and smiled at him. After he was done,he planted a gentle kiss on my hand, on the ring to be more specific.

It was now my turn and I couldn't help but feel so nervous.

"Hazel Del Mundo, do you take Luciano Hernandez to be your legal wedded husband,  to love and cherish in times of wealth and poor, happiness and sadness,till death do you path?"The royal judge asked. Silence reigned in the yard once again.
