Chapter 92 Chapter 92
Chapter 92 Chapter 92
Eliana's Point of View (One Week Later)
"Eliana, are you ready to go?" Killian asked. It had been a week, and Killian and I had mostly been learning from his parents how to be the king and queen. Now it was time to go back to Enchanted Academy. Killian would be acting as King while at school. We had spent longer at the kingdom than was expected. That worried me because of my scholarship, but Killian told me it was okay. He already spoke to the school, and there was no way they would hold it against me. In a way, I felt bad. I didn't want any special privileges. I had worked hard to get where I was without any in the past, and I wasn't going to change now.
"Yeah," I said.
"We need to stop at the warlock kingdom to meet your mom's family before we head to the school," Killian said
"Yeah, I know," I said. I was nervous about meeting them. What if they didn't like me?
"You have nothing to worry about, Eliana. They are going to love you," Killian said as he hugged me.
Killian and I made our way to Syrus's castle. The ride was over two hours long. Cayson and Tiara rode with us. They had been getting closer. I could see that Tiara was still worried about trusting him. She was afraid that he would turn out like all the other guys she had dated, but I could also see that she really liked him and that she was starting to lower her guard.
Once we arrived at the castle, I took a deep breath.
"There is no reason to be nervous," Tiara said
"Yeah, they are good people, and they are going to love you," Cayson said
"I agree," Killian said as we got out of the car. Before we could walk into the castle, Syrus and Helena walked outside with two men and three women. One of the men was older with grey hair. The other looked to be in his mid thirties while one of the women looked to be in her sixties, one looked to be in their thirties, and the last looked to be around my age.
"Eliana, this is..." Syrus started to say, but the woman who looked to be in her thirties spoke
"Hello, Eliana, I am your Aunt Shelby."
"Hello," I replied, and she shocked me by hugging me.
"Oh, my. You look just like your mother. You look like King Syrus too, but you look so much like your mom. You are so beautiful,"
"Thank you," I said
"Shelby, calm down. You are scaring her," The man who was in his thirties said
"Oh, she is not scared of me. Right, Honey. I am just so happy that you are here. You have no idea how long your grandparents and I have wanted to meet you. This is your Uncle Jackson. He is my mate," Aunt Shelby said
"Hello, Eliana. I am so happy to finally meet you."
"I am happy to meet you too," I replied with a smile
"And these are your grandparents," Aunt Shelby said as she gestured to the elderly man and woman who were standing there staring at me. They both had tears in their eyes
"Hello," I said
"Hello, I am your grandma. You can call me Grandma Kay, and this is your grandfather. Everyone calls him Papaw," Grandma Kay said
"It is nice to meet you both," I replied, and Grandma Kay hugged me.
"You have no idea how nice it is to finally meet you, Sweetheart," Grandma Kay said
"How about we go inside to talk?" Syrus said, and we all headed inside. We went to a private room to speak.
When we sat down, everyone just stared at me. I looked at Killian, who was smiling.
"Hello, I am King Killian, Eliana's mate," Killian said
"We know. It is so nice to meet you, King Killian. Syrus has told us so much about you," Grandma Kay said with a smile
"Yes, he did. I wanted to thank you for taking care of my precious granddaughter. We really wanted so badly to visit her when she was in the human territory staying with Charles, but he would never let us in. He made it seem like she was living a good life and he didn't want us to mess it up. I can't believe we believed him. After seeing the news and learning everything you went through, we felt terrible. I feel like we failed you," my grandpa said
"No, you didn't. It wasn't your fault. You had no idea what I was going through. Charles made you believe that he was taking care of me," I said
"Thank you for saying that, Sweetheart. You are such a good person, and you look so much like your mother. I brought pictures. Would you like to see them?" Grandma Kay asked and that made me Smile. I always wanted to look at my mom's pictures, but Charles never let me. He told me I didn't deserve to see her since I killed her. That made me feel terrible.
"Yes, please," I said happily.
