"I can tell you are happy, sis. I am so happy for you," Cayson said. Cayson and I were getting close. We were starting to have the relationship I always wanted to have with Lilian.

"I am how?" I replied

"I see that Killian treats you right, but I want you to know that if he ever does anything to upset or hurt you, let me know. I will take care of him," Cayson said, and I smiled

"I am sure that will never happen," I replied. I was certain Killian would never hurt me in any way. I had known for a long time that Killian really cared about me, but now I had no doubt at all because I could feel it. I could feel what he was thinking. Thinking about what Killian had just told me about how the bond would get stronger once we completed the mating amazed me. I honestly didn't know how it could get any stronger than it already was.

"I am sure you are right, but I just wanted you to know I got your back," Cayson said

"We both do," I looked up to see Syrus and Helena standing there. "Do you mind if I dance with you?" Syrus asked

"Um, sure," I said

"Come on, Cayson, dance with your mother," Helena said

"okay, mom," Cayson replied and they went to dance.

Syrus and I started dancing to a slow song. "I meant it when I said you look beautiful today, just like your mother," Syrus said and that made me feel sad. Not because she said I looked like her but because I had never seen a photo of her.

"What's wrong Sweetheart? Did I say something to upset you?" Syrus asked

"No, it;s just I don't know what my mom looked like," I said and Syrus looked at me with a shocked expression

"What do you mean?" Syrus asked

"Charles always blamed me for her death. He never let me look at a photo of her. Vera got rid of all of her things before I was old enough to remember anything," I said

"He never let you see a picture of your mom?" Syrus asked his tone was both shocked and angry

"No, he said I didn't deserve to know what she looked like," I replied

"That bastard," Syrus said

"I don't want to talk about that now. Today is a good day," I said not wanting to ruin the mood

"You are right. Today is definitely a good day. My daughter has become the werewolf queen," Syrus said with a smile and I stayed silent. It felt weird hearing him call me his daughter

"Eliana, I know you still don't trust me. I get it. I should have been in your life. No matter what I say that doesn't change anything. I just hope that you will give me a chance to be a father to you," Syrus said

"I have been thinking about it and I would like to get to know you," I said

"Really?" Syrus asked

"Yes, I am not going to lie. I still have some doubts but I would like to give you a chance," I said

"Thank you, Eliana. I promise I will not let you down," Syrus said as the dance ended

"Am I interrupting anything?" Killian asked. I could feel his presence before he even spoke

"No, I was just telling Syrus that I would like to get to know him," I said

"That sounds good,: Killian said

"Yes, it does," Syrus replied

"Well, I would like to steal my mate back if that is okay," Killian said

"Yes, thanks, Eliaan," Syrus said, and he left Killian and me alone to dance

"You seemed sad a moment ago. What was that about?" Killian asked. I almost forgot he could feel my emotions.

"Syrus and I were just talking about my mom. I wish she could be here," I said

"I am sure she is looking down at you right now. And she is very proud of you," Killian said

"I hope she is," I replied

We danced for two more songs until we sat down with our families and ate. There was nothing but joy in the room. A lot of people came to congratulate us. What made me happy was that no one seemed to be upset that I was the new Queen. I was still scared about being queen. I never thought I would become one. Catherine must have noticed my nervousness because she told me she would be there to help me learn how to be Queen. Helena also told me that when I was ready to take over as the witch queen, she would help me. She also offered to help me learn to control my abilities. I decided that it might be a good idea to take her up on that offer. It would also give me a chance to get to know her better. I looked around and noticed that Ashley was nowhere in sight. I had barely seen her. I didn't have time to think about her long because I was always in a conversation with someone.

After a while, Lilian walked over to our table. I had seen her a few times but tried not to pay her any mind.

"El... I mean, Queen Eliana, can we talk along?" I could tell everyone didn't want me to talk to her, but something deep down was telling me that I should

"Sure," I said, and I looked at Killian. "I will be back in a minute," I said

"Okay," Killian replied. I could tell he didn't want me to go, but he didn't stop me
