Chapter 34 - All I want is you II

Kaden.

Beta Baron must have heard that she was found, that’s why he came here. My hands squared around Janine’s shoulders and lowered myself to her eye level. “I will go with you while you meet with him. I won’t leave you alone.” I whispered but she still had that frightened look on her face.

“Janine.” I caressed my fingers on her cheek, and smiled at her. “I’m not leaving you.” I assured her.

She nodded.

I straightened myself and took her hand in mine. “Let’s go.”

We walked past the maid who informed us about Beta Baron’s arrival and went to meet him in the living room.

He stood up from the chair when he saw us coming, I looked around him, he was alone.

Janine’s hand tightened on mine as she got closer.

Beta Baron rubbed his nervous hands together.

“Janine.” He called and stepped forward to touch her, Janine flinched and hid behind me.

“It’s obvious she doesn’t want to see you, you should leave, Beta Baron.”

“I’m just…” he heaved a sigh. “I’m just glad you found her, I wanted to see how she was, and I’m glad she’s healthy.” He muttered and withdrew his steps.

“I’m sorry for what happened, and that my wife was the cause of what happened that made her run away from home. Staying with must have been…” He swallowed and sighed. “I came to apologize.”

“As if that will justify your actions, you think apologizing will solve anything, have you seen Janine’s body, have you seen what you did to her?” I asked.

He rubbed his hand over his face. “I didn’t know what came over me most of the time.”

I chuckled. “You do, Beta Baron. You are aware of what you did, and…” I glanced at Janine behind me. “Janine doesn't have anything to say to you. She wants you to leave. Leave and don’t ever come back here.”

“Kaden.”

“It’s Alpha.” I corrected him.

He nodded and smacked his lips together. “Alpha Kaden, I…”

“You don’t have anything to say to Beta Baron. I can see through you and I know the reason you came here. Janine is your daughter now, isn’t she? Because you realize that I wasn’t gonna reject her as my mate, a win is a win I guess that’s what you thought. You'd still be involved with the Alpha family because your daughter is the Alpha’s mate. Am I wrong?”

He opened his mouth to speak and stared at Janine. “Can I have a word with her alone?”

“Janine doesn’t want you to stay here anymore. She wants you gone.” I retorted.

“She won’t say that.” He frowned.

“She did.” I glanced at the door. “I will send the guards to show you the way out.”

“I will take my leave.” He stated and stared at Janine, she hadn’t loosened her grip on me.

He walked over to the door and walked out of the house, Janine let out a deep breath, and loosening her grip on my hand, I spun around to face and cupped her face in my hand and smiled at her. “He’s gone, and nobody can hurt you here.”

“I don’t know what Mom was thinking when she gave you a separate room. I think she wants me to move in with you.”

Janine smiled now, and I leaned forward and placed a kiss on her forehead.

“I am going to a meeting, I will be back soon.” I let go of her face, and she followed me to the lawn where my car was parked and waved at me.

I waved back, and she stood there, I could see her through the mirror, watching me till I couldn’t see her anymore.

I sped off toward the pack house where our meeting was supposed to take place.

I placed a call through Dale, I hadn’t heard from him the whole day.

He didn’t pick up at first, and the second time he picked up the call with a groan.

“Kay.” He mouthed, and yawned.

“Were you sleeping?”

“Yeah. I got home some hours ago. I said I was gonna call and ask about Janine, I slept off.”

Was he training that hard?

“You don’t have to train…”

“Train? I went to a party.” He chuckled.

I rolled my eyes, and I was worried about him.

“Sarah had a birthday party last night, she wanted me to come since you weren’t gonna be there, I went there late and the party was almost over and she wanted me to stay for a while.” He said.

I didn’t know about that, it wasn’t like I was bothered about it and it was the least of my thoughts at the moment. “Can you get a hold of Gemma Lucas? I tried to reach him but couldn’t.”

“Is there a problem?”

“I won’t be able to join the training. Janine is waiting for me at home.” I grinned when I mentioned her name.

“You’re skipping training because of her, Kay it’s your first day.”

“Asshole, do your duty for once and inform the Gemma. I’m hanging up.”

“There’s a concert on Friday…”

“I’m not interested.”

“I wasn’t done talking to you Kay, I already got tickets. I think Janine will be happy to be there, and it’s our school band, it will be fun.”

I tapped my fingers on the wheel, giving it some thought. “I will talk to her about it.” I ended the car.

It won’t be bad if we attend the concert together. We would get to spend more time together and I could get to know Janine more, she fascinates me.

I screeched the car to a hall when I arrived at the pack house.

We had the meeting at the lounge in the Pack house, talked about Pack affairs, and duties to carry out. I wasn’t completely paying attention to most of the things they said, the thought of going home and seeing Janine made me smile.

“Are you listening, Alpha?”

I nodded, snapping out of my trance and stared at the elders, and some ministers.

“You can go on with your words.” I responded, and when he went on speaking, I fell back into a daydream, smiling to myself.

“…we are planning to tighten the borders against rogue attacks, the pack close to us was recently attacked by rogues and I think the rogues might be targeting our pack next for an attack.”

That was the part I heard and took my attention back to them.

“I will get in touch with the Alpha of the pack that was attacked and get more information about if there was any rogue that was captured.” I responded.

“Yes, Alpha.”

I thought I could go home after the meeting. I had to meet with Lucas and inform him about the security in the pack, and move ahead to see the borders of our pack, and if the security was tightened enough.

I ended the meeting with the Elders and drove off to find Lucas, he was at the military quarters, just where I needed to find him.

I spoke with him, and we went out to look at the borders. I went back to their quarters and gave them instructions.

It was late when I returned home.

I parked my car and stepped out of it.

“Welcome home, Alpha.” I waved at the greetings of the maids while the door was opened for me.

“Where’s Janine? Has she eaten?” I asked the maid.

“She was with Luna all day, Alpha.” She replied with her head down.

I nodded and went through the stairs, I opened the door of my room, I wanted to shower before I met Janine, she might have been sleeping because it was past eleven at night.

I was stunned to see her seated on my bed. She jumped when she saw me, her face lit up in a smile.

She ran to me into my chest in a tight embrace.

My hands went around her body. “I missed you too.” I whispered beside her ear.

She has been running through my mind all day,

“Did you eat?” I asked when I pulled away.

She nodded, and pointed at the gown she wore, it was different from the one from earlier and it fitted her. “Did she go shopping?”

She grinned, and nodded, tagging my arm as she led me to the bed. I chuckled and followed her, ready to listen to whatever she wanted to converse with me.

She wanted me to sit beside her but I pulled her into my lap instead, and my back was against the headboard of my bed.

Her cheeks flushed, and I brushed my finger against it.

“Why were you waiting for me? You should have gone to sleep, Janine.”

I was happy she waited for me. If I had found her asleep I would have woken her up with kisses.

She placed her head on my chest, and touched my jawline with a finger. I lowered my head to her face and kissed her, licking, advancing and retreating.

She pulled me back with her hands around my neck, and made me deepen the kiss, my tongue slid into my mouth and I groaned as I kissed her while feeling the hardness of her breast against my chest, and my dick twitched in my pants.

My hands were on her face, and as I took possession of her mouth, we both fought for dominance. I placed her back against the bed, and set myself above her. My mouth left her mouth, and kissed the hollow of her neck, and trailed down to her collarbone, I made her feel the hardness of my dick against her lower region.
