Chapter 194 Chapter 194

Lilith pov

“You are the triplets’ mate.”

The triplets' mate.

Samuel's voice rang across the battlefield, far louder than it should have been, echoing through the air until it seemed impossible for anyone not to hear it. I knew they had. I could feel it. Lucien. Silas. Claude. Their gazes landed on me all at once, heavy enough to feel like physical weight pressing against my skin.

The words echoed inside my head again and again.

The triplets' mate.

For a moment, I didn't react. I didn't move. I didn't speak.

I just stood there.

The Alphas looked as though they wanted to say something. Lucien's expression had gone completely still. Silas looked ready to step forward. Claude's jaw had tightened so hard I thought he might crack a tooth.

And Samuel...

Samuel simply watched me.

His eyes glittered with amusement, his grin widening slowly as he studied my face. He was waiting for it. Waiting for the shock. The betrayal. The disgust. The hatred. He wanted to see me break beneath the weight of the truth he had just thrown into the open but I didn't give him any of it.

Instead, a sound escaped me.

A chuckle, low and quiet, barely audible.

For a second, nobody moved. Then the chuckle came again and again.

Growing louder, growing harsher until laughter spilled from my lips.

The sound echoed across the battlefield, slicing through the screams, the growls, the clash of weapons. Even the rogues charging toward their deaths seemed to hesitate. One by one, heads turned.

Everyone watched and I laughed.

I laughed so hard my shoulders shook.

Not because it was funny, not because I was happy. There wasn't an ounce of amusement in the sound.

It was hollow, cold, dry.

The kind of laughter that came from someone standing on the edge of a cliff with nothing left to lose.

Samuel's smile slowly faded, his brows furrowed. For the first time since this battle began, uncertainty flashed across his face.

The Alphas never looked away, not for a second.

Then finally, I spoke.

"I see..."

My voice carried through the air, soft, yet somehow everyone heard it.

"So that was the choice you were talking about." Another laugh tore from my throat. "So that was what you meant." I lifted my head toward the sky.

"That was why you were sorry. What was it you said?" I shouted. "That I was strong? That I was kind? That my soul was beautiful?"

The words dripped with mockery, with bitterness, with years of pain.

My vision blurred, not from tears. I was beyond tears. Something inside me had already shattered.

"Don't kid me, Moon Goddess!"

The scream ripped from my chest, raw and violent.

The entire battlefield seemed to freeze.

Even Samuel took a step back as his arm loosened around me and I stumbled forward before collapsing to my knees on the blood-soaked ground.

My laughter never stopped. It mixed with every word, every accusation. Every wound I had carried my entire life.

"Where were you?" I screamed at the sky. "Where were you all those years when I begged for you?!"

The wind howled. Dark clouds rolled across the heavens but I didn't stop.

"I called for you!" My voice cracked. "I prayed to you!" The laughter turned uglier, more broken. "And you never answered!"

My hands dug into the dirt beneath me. Every memory came flooding back.

My father's death.

My mother's suffering.

The whispers.

The isolation.

The curses.

The loneliness.

Every moment I had spent wondering why. Every moment I had spent waiting for hope, salvation for a better life that never came.

"All my life has been nothing but misfortune!" I shouted. "Everyone I love dies! Everyone I care about suffers! Every single time I finally find hope, you take it away!"

The battlefield remained silent. No one dared interrupt, no one dared move.

The Alphas stared at me as though they had never seen me before. I threw my head back and laughed again. Laughed so hard it hurt.

"So tell me, Moon Goddess..." My voice dropped, dangerously calm. "If this is how you treat your children..." "Then are you really their mother?"

Silence.

A second passed and suddenly—

BOOM!

Thunder exploded across the sky. The ground trembled beneath us. A jagged streak of lightning tore through the dark clouds above, illuminating the battlefield in blinding white light.

The wind roared, dark clouds gathered overhead like an approaching storm and for the first time in my life...

It felt as though the heavens themselves were looking back at me.

As though the Moon Goddess had heard every word, every scream, every accusation, every ounce of pain.

And then… a single raindrop fell from the sky.

It landed softly against my cheek. It was warm, gentle.

Almost like a tear.

Like somewhere beyond those storm clouds, the goddess herself had wept for me.

I stared upward and felt nothing.

No anger. No grief. No hatred. Nothing at all.

Because the Lilith who carried those emotions had died a long time ago. The Lilith who had prayed, begged, and hoped for something better was already gone.

My shoulders trembled, but this time I didn't laugh. Instead, a slow smile spread across my lips.

"That's fine, if you won't help me" I whispered. My voice vanished into the storm. "Then I will do it myself."

Lightning flashed again. I lowered my gaze and slowly stretched out my hand, staring at my open palm.

The battlefield fell silent.

Samuel's smirk vanished. The Alphas froze, even the rogues stopped moving. Something had changed.

Something was terribly wrong.

My eyes narrowed and then Samuel understood.

He was the first.

His expression cracked, and for the first time since I had met him, genuine shock appeared on his face. He took an involuntary step backward.

"No fucking way..."

The moment those words left his mouth, the air itself seemed to grow heavier.

A crushing pressure descended over the battlefield. The ground shook beneath our feet, and the storm answered with a deafening roar.

Then—

A golden light erupted from my palm.

The radiance was so intense that everyone immediately threw their arms over their eyes. Samuel cursed. The rogues stumbled backward. Even Lucien, Silas, and Claude were forced to shield their faces from the blinding glow pouring out as a dagger appeared.

It was golden, ancient and divine.

The blade shone while currents of power raced across its surface. The moment my fingers wrapped around the hilt, something alive seemed to pulse beneath my skin.

Then the light faded.

Silence followed.

A sharp, terrifying silence.

"The golden dagger…how did she..." Claude whispered, his voice trembling.

He never finished.

Silas stared at the weapon in disbelief.

"No..."

Lucien's face had gone pale.

"Lilith...no"

Before me, Samuel let out a disbelieving scoff, yet even he looked shaken, as though what I had just don

e had exceeded his expectations.

My fingers tightened around the dagger as I stared at it.
