Chapter 88 The Black Room

Chapter 88 The Black Room
Bella’s POV.
The whip came down again.

My teeth bit into my lips until they bled.

Trying so hard to keep from crying out.

It hurt badly, so badly.

Without Tundra it felt like the skin on my back was slowly getting peeled off.

He hit me again, harder this time. Smirking as he watched me bite my lip.

“Make some noise! Make it more fun for me, darling. I can’t enjoy it as much when you won’t cry for me!” He laughed, sounding like he was truly enjoying himself, if I cried or not.

I gritted my teeth, determined. I won’t let him have the satisfaction.

The smirk that was on his face dropped when he didn’t get a reaction out of me.

His fists tightening until his knuckles turned white.

“You stupid bitch! I said cry out! Show everyone just how weak and pathetic you are! Show them!” With every word he hit me harder.

My back opening with massive wounds that were gushing blood.

For a fraction of a second Garrett’s eyes widened with guilt.

I thought maybe, just maybe he would stop and realize how much he was hurting me. That maybe he would care… but one word from that bitch Rose, and any guilt or remorse he felt was gone.

“Oh, Garrett. It still hurts! I think- I think we need to go get looked at from the healer. To make sure the pup is alive,” she sobbed, her fake tears making me cringe in disgust.

But I didn’t say anything.

I kept my face neutral. My hands grilling the stone ground roughly, trying so hard to hold myself together.

John will come.

He will save me, I know he will.

I just… I don't know when.

“Baby, you’ll be okay. I need to get some air, I’ll ask the guards outside to go find that rogue healer we saw last time. You can come with me if you’d like?” He said sweetly.

His eyes squinted slightly with a loving smile on his face.

The same loving smile he used to give to me.

I looked away quickly, something in my heart still latching onto old memories, making it hard to witness such things. Even if I, myself have moved on.

“I think I’m going to stay here,” she said, looking towards me with a sly grin, “I’m going to rest while we wait and maybe… keep Bella some company.”

Oh great. Just what I wanted right now.

“Very well…” Garrett mumbled before his eyes made their way towards me…

I tried to keep my head down, I knew I needed to keep my head down.

But Garrett didn’t care, he never did…

“Look at me,” he said while forcing my chin up, his eyes looking straight into mine, “I’ll be back for more. You better be ready for me tonight, Bella. Because I want to bed by mate. And I won’t be taking no for an answer.”

His breath against my ear made shivers run down my spine, my whole body feeling heavy with disgust.

Who the hell does he think he is?

I won’t let that happen.

His footsteps echoed as he left once again, leaving me alone with this leach.

“Well, well. Look at you now!” She giggled, her eyes twinkling with smugness, “you probably didn’t think he was going to beat you so badly, did you? It only took a few words from me to change that. I mean, I am pregnant with his pup, again!”

Her laughter rang around the dungeon.

My ears felt like they would bleed at any moment from the screech of it.

“Want to know a little secret? Lucas isn’t even Garrett’s son. I used it as a trick to get him to fall for me again. So that he would toss you aside like the garbage you really are. You never deserved him. You were nobody, no wolf, no family, no nothing. But then… some how, you took fucking control! And booted us out. But we’ll gain it back. No matter what.”

I stared blankly at her, even if my heart was beating rapidly in my chest.

I wouldn’t show my fear.

I wouldn’t even speak.

Her eyebrows raised as she waited for me to answer, but I still said nothing.

“What? Useless, and mute? Wow. You really have nothing going for you now!” Her cat-like smirk reached her eyes, amused by the show, “I’m going to enjoy watching you break down into nothing. Maybe Garrett will agree to keep you as our slave! After all, it’s your fault we are in this position. If you want to blame anyone, blame yourself.”

Her smug smile only lasted so long before Garrett was coming back.

His loud footsteps echoing down the hall.

“Just wait and watch, bitch,” Rose whispered, a murderous look on her face before she turned it into a sickly sweet smile, “oh Garrett. Don’t leave me with her alone again! She’s so scary, she was threatening me the entire time! She even said we’d regret this, that we’d pay! She thinks John will kill us for her!”

Garrett’s eyes darkened as his head twisted towards me, his aura pushing out in his rage.

“You dare speak to her that way? I’ll show you regret!” He roared before he twisted my arms behind my back, hauling my body up off of the ground, “help me get her to the black room.”

“The black room?” Rose asked curiously, my curiosity also peeked.

“Yes… the one room no one wants to see the inside of. This is where every last torture device is held. There’s a table that straps the victim down, and there’s all kinds of goodies to test out,” Garett responded darkly, my heart beating even faster in my chest as he dragged me towards the black room.

“Please,” I whispered, Garrett stopping in his tracks when my voice reached his ears, “please, Garrett, don’t do this to me. I’m sorry, I’m sorry for everything. Just- don’t do this, I don’t think I can survive it without my wolf.”

“You don’t get a say in this, Bella. You should just shut up and try to imagine what’s about to happen to you. You’re at my mercy now, and no one is going to find you here.”
