Chapter 64
Aziz
“Now, woman!” I said, and we started to spar. Her speed drastically increased after that incident in the parking lot with her stepfather. Anger must have unleashed the vampire in her as my mark magnified it even more.
I was standing with Mica, my soul mate, and the pack's Luna in the training room of the Dark Blood Pack. It was my duty as Alpha to make sure she was ready to defend herself, especially from the threat of the vampires that hid in the shadows. I remarked in a soft but stern voice, "Woman, we need to concentrate on honing your skills even more. It's imperative that you have control over the vampire poison, and I want to make you stronger.”
She nodded, her eyes glistening with resolve. "I believe in you, Aziz; I know you care about me and the pack." We started our sparring practice after coming to that consensus. As her mate and Alpha, I understood how crucial it was to strike a balance between testing her limitations and keeping her secure. Her posture and actions underwent tiny alterations as the vampire venom pumped through her body.
I closely watched her posture as we began with basic strikes and parries and corrected it where necessary. I said, "Remember to keep your center of gravity low. You'll be more stable and balanced during combat thanks to it.” Mica changed her stance in response, making her motions more fluid. She listened intently as I gave her directions, eager to take in all the knowledge I had to share. She was getting faster and more agile as we went along. Her reflexes were quicker, and she displayed excellent control over her newly acquired skills.
"You're doing great," I said a pleased smile on my lips. "Remain focused, and remember to trust your instincts." Mica's eyes shone with resolve, and she nodded, a surge of adrenaline pouring through her veins. She was anxious to show herself, not only as the Luna but as a warrior capable of fighting with me in any battle.
We progressed to more advanced techniques, which included kicks and combo moves. Mica's stamina was put to the utmost, but she persevered, determined to keep going. The sounds of our movements resonated throughout the training hall, creating a symphony of determination and strength.
"You're doing well, woman," I said, my enthusiasm for her rising with each passing day. "Your control of vampire venom is impressive; you will be a formidable opponent to the vampires." Her face lit up with joy as she realized her efforts were paying off.
"Thank you so much, Aziz; I couldn't have done it without your help."
We sparred for what seemed like hours, our training pushing us to our limits. Mica's endurance was impressive, and I knew that with time and practice, she would grow into an even more powerful fighter.
"Remember, woman," I urged as I caught her breath. "A true warrior is made up of a combination of skill, control, and strategy, not just strength."
She nodded, taking in what I was saying. "I understand, Aziz. I'll keep working on improving all aspects of my fighting."
We both felt a feeling of success as the training session came to a close. Mica had made great progress, and I knew she would become an even more powerful protector of our pack with each passing day.
"You're doing great, woman," I remarked as I drew her into a soft embrace. "I believe in you, and I know that you will continue to grow stronger."
Mica sank into my hug, sensing the warmth of our bond. "Thank you, Aziz; I appreciate having you by my side to guide and support me."
I softly kissed her forehead, expressing my love and pride. "You're my mate, Luna, and a vital part of this pack; we'll face whatever comes our way together."
I felt our relationship was stronger than ever as we exited the training hall hand in hand. Mica's tenacity and want to learn convinced me that she would be a useful tool in our struggle against the vampire danger.
I felt invincible with Mica by my side, knowing that our love and togetherness would guide us through any trials that were ahead. We were more than simply a partnership like Alpha and Luna; we were partners in every meaning of the word, and we would guard and lead our pack with unshakable courage and commitment.
Though I am not informing anyone about it, I could feel that the vampire king was on the move. I could feel his presence and even if there were no vampire sightings around the pack borders, I do believe that there was someone out there watching us. That’s why my guard was always up, my senses were always heightened. I can’t be lazy and be comfortable with how calm everything was. I know more than anyone else that there was always a storm in the calmness of the sea. I didn’t want to be complacent and get shocked by an impending attack on our enemy. No, I can’t let that happen. I am not going to let what happened before cause the death of our mother to happen again at the expense of my mate.
Yes, I know, the vampire king will definitely go after my mate to weaken me. Or either of my sibling’s mates to weaken us. That’s why I agree with Athena and Reeves to train the Lunar and the Blue Moon Pack, so they will be able to fight and defend us.
At the end of the day, I was glad to see how my mate improved every single day. At least I could tell that she will be sufficient enough to face a foe and be confident enough to fight when she was in the hands of our enemies. I know that she will be able to buy some time before we come to her rescue if worse comes to worst.
Athena and Reeves are going to come back soon. Even with their misunderstanding and underlying miscommunication, I know that they will be able to work on their bond once they are together and that will strengthen our pack. Reeves has been my beta and friend for a very long time, so I know that he is going to do everything to get Athena fully mated and marked her.
As for Hera and Lexis. Just like my beta, I know that they will end up being with their mates as well. Even without me informing them of the vampire threats in our lives before, they already felt the responsibility of terminating that threat. They already feel that the vampire will somehow do something that will cause horror and terror to our kind and other species. That's why they were vigilant about vampire sightings wherever they were.
For the vampire king, I will make sure that he is not going to succeed and we will be able to fulfill the prophecy that he has tried to stop. Me and my siblings, along with our pack alliances. He will never succeed.
