Chapter 130
Chapter 130
Kathy P.O.V
Kathy jumped out of the portal just before the black hole could pull her in. She collapsed on the ground and stared up at the night sky, her whole body aching too badly to move. She had no idea where she was, but she knew she had to get up. Slowly, she pushed herself off the ground, held her head, and looked around. She was in the woods. A cold breeze swept through the trees. Her hand was injured, and blood covered her hair and face. She wanted to keep walking, but her body felt too weak. Then she took off her ring and closed her eyes as it began to glow.
“Help me find Anthony,” Kathy whispered into the ring.
The ring trembled in her hand, its glow stretching through the darkness like a lifeline to Anthony’s kingdom. Kathy forced herself forward, every step sharp with pain, her eyes darting through the trees without her phone to guide her. Her body begged her to stop, to fall, to give in—but Anthony was waiting, and that was the only thing keeping her on her feet. By the time she reached the kingdom’s border, her breath came in ragged gasps. She spotted one of the portals and braced herself against a tree, fighting to stay upright. Anthony’s room was so close, yet the pain in her chest tightened with every heartbeat, draining what little strength she had left.
“Please hold on, Anthony… Max. I’m coming for you. Just don’t give up on me,” Kathy whispered, forcing herself to keep moving.
Anthony P.O.V In his dreams
Anthony lifted his head when he sensed something nearby, and Max felt it too. He tried to push himself off the floor, but his body wouldn’t obey. Pain ripped through him, forcing him to curl into a ball. Max struggled to rise beside him, weakened by the agony he shared with his master. Anthony raised his head again and saw a figure moving toward him, though it was still too blurry to recognize. The blood burning through his veins made him cough up black blood as his eyes turned red and his fangs and claws lengthened. When the figure came closer, he froze. It was Kathy, covered in wounds, bruises, and blood from her head and arms. A glass barrier separated them, and they pressed their hands against it from opposite sides.
Kathy P.O.V
Kathy used the light from her ring to open a portal into Anthony’s room. Darkness filled the room, and she stumbled into a dresser, using it to steady herself before forcing her way toward his bed. Anthony lay asleep, black veins spreading across his body. Maria had not lied—her vampire lover had injected Anthony with his own blood. Kathy grabbed Anthony’s hand, fell to her knees, and used her witch powers to enter his dream. Inside, she moved toward the glass and saw Anthony suffering as he coughed up black blood. She rushed to him, but the same glass barrier stood between them. When she and Anthony pressed their hands against the glass, Kathy closed her eyes. Her hand began to glow, cracking the barrier until it shattered. She looked into his red eyes and saw Max’s eyes glowing red too. Then she took Anthony’s hand, and the red thread reappeared around their wrists.
“I’m so sorry, Anthony,” Kathy cried, her voice breaking. “I thought leaving was the only way to protect you but every moment without you felt like I was tearing my own heart apart. I never wanted to hurt you. You deserve a wife who can stand beside you, love you without fear, and give you the happiness I was afraid I couldn’t.”
“No. You are my mate. Even if you broke the bond, I would still marry you and raise our three babies with you. Please don’t ever leave me like that again.”
“I vow to stay by your side, Anthony. No matter what comes for us, I will never leave you again.”
Their mating bond surged between them, stronger and brighter than ever before. Anthony lifted his trembling hand to the back of Kathy’s neck and drew her down to him, sealing every unspoken apology, every fear, and every promise in a kiss. As their bond deepened, the Moon Goddess watched with a gentle smile. The bracelet on Moon Goddess’ wrist blazed with white light before shattering into pieces, freeing them at last. In that moment, the Goddess gave them her blessing, allowing Kathy and Anthony to finally belong to each other.
Kathy woke and pushed herself up on trembling legs. Anthony opened his eyes and saw her standing beside him. His eyes were still red, but he was no longer in pain. Even in the darkness, the black veins on his neck were visible. Kathy closed her eyes and reached out to contact her father.
“Dad, can you hear me?”
“Yes, but the connection is a bit weak?”
“I know you and mom are worry. I need your help,”
“Where are you?” asked Seth
“I’m in Anthony’s room. I’ll explain everything soon, but right now, I’m too weak to open a portal.”
“Queen Raine is here. Hold on—I’ll ask her to open a portal for you right now.”
“Thank you,”
Kathy opened her eyes to the dim room and slowly sat at the edge of the bed, Anthony’s warm hand wrapped tightly around hers. The air felt heavy against her skin, and the shadows blurred at the edges of her vision. She looked around and tried to stand, but a wave of dizziness rolled through her, making the floor tilt beneath her feet. Pressing her free hand to her pounding head, she stayed still and waited for the room to stop spinning.
“Are you okay?” asked Anthony
Kathy looked at him, her throat dry and her body still trembling from the fight. The room was quiet except for Anthony’s uneven breathing and the faint creak of the guards shifting outside his bedroom door. The air carried the sharp scent of blood, old wood, and the bitter trace of magic still clinging to her skin. “I fought Maria and her vampire lover. They’re both dead.” She swallowed against the metallic taste of blood in her mouth and forced herself to breathe. “I overused my powers, but I should be okay.”
Once Kathy felt clearheaded enough, she stood and moved through Anthony’s dark, silent room, where the heavy air still carried the smell of blood, old wood, and fading magic. The shadows clung to the walls, broken only by the faint glow from the portal and the narrow line of light beneath the bedroom door. She slipped into Anthony’s closet to gather clothes and a bag, listening to the muffled creak of guards shifting outside. After packing everything he might need, she pulled out a pair of sweatpants and a shirt for him. Careful not to turn on the light, she glanced toward the door and saw the guards still standing outside. Quickly, she helped Anthony get dressed and grabbed his bag. When Queen Raine opened the portal, its light flickered across the room like moonlight on water. Kathy’s father stepped through and saw her struggling beneath Anthony’s weight, so he hurried over to help.
“Wait, Kathy go into my drawer there is something I think your father want to see,” Anthony said.
Kathy quickly went to Anthony’s drawer to see what he meant and found a syringe with blood still inside it. She wrapped it in a white cloth, then stepped through the portal behind her father and Anthony. Once they reached the other side, Seth helped Anthony into Kathy’s bedroom so he could rest while Kathy, Grace, and Queen Raine followed. As they entered the room, Kathy realized she did not see the babies.
“Mom, where are the babies?” asked Kathy
“They’re asleep in the playpen now,” Grace said softly. “But Melody had such a hard time settling down. She kept crying like she could feel something powerful nearby, something that scared her. I held her until she finally wore herself out and fell asleep.”
“Once this is over, I’ll give them all the cuddles they need,” Kathy said, her voice soft as the faint sound of the babies’ breathing reached her from the playpen. She rubbed her aching arms and glanced at her father. “Dad, once you get Anthony into bed, there’s something I need to give you.”
Seth help Anthony toward the bed and pulled the blanket back so he could sit down and Anthony put his legs on the bed then pulled the blanket over his body. As Seth turn around, Kathy hand him the napkin that had syringe warp inside. As Seth unwrap the napkin.
“It has blood in it. Who is it?”
“Maria, vampire lover, the one who thought that Melody is his daughter. It’s his blood that he injects into Anthony,”
“Prince Anthony when did he inject you with his blood,” asked Seth
“I was getting ready for my birthday party, out of nowhere he inject me into my neck. By the time I can attack him, he jumps over the balcony I didn’t want to make a scene so I just put the syringe into my drawer,”
“Prince Anthony, I see the black vein, which means that vampire venom is still running through your body, you must be in pain. Wait, one of my guard told me that your parents think that you might be poison,” said Seth.
“Yes, the pack doctor give me the strongest painkiller but my body burn though it, I am not in pain anymore,”
“Not now, but soon, vampire and lycan DNA are trying to fusion together but your body is trying to reject it,”
“For the time being you have let it run it course. I will have my team to give you the strongest med so you won’t be in much pain,”
As everyone was in the room, Kathy feeling dizzy again, she lean against the door, hope that it’s will stop before she know it, vision went black.
