"Derek's pov"

I walked out of the courtroom with my lawyers with a huge smile on my face.

I had doubts about winning the case but after what had happened in the courtroom today and Aria's outburst, I had no doubt I was definitely winning the case.

"Thank you," I said, as I pointed my hands towards my lawyers one after the other and started to shake them.

I had had spent a lot of money to get all seven of them to be in court with me today as they were all highly professional lawyers.

"Don't mention," The head lawyer said, smiling.

He was the one mainly in charge of the case and the six others only assisted him.

"I have told you before that we are definitely winning this case," He continued.

"Put your mind at rest," He added.

"I trust you," I replied smiling.

"We are leaving now," He said, as he looked at the six other lawyers who nodded in support.

"Okay," I replied.

"I will see you soon so we can talk about the next court session," He added, before turning and walking away.

"Okay," I said, but I doubted he heard me talk as I made my way to the car.

I entered into my car as I sighed in relief.

I had been so scared about today court session because I knew Aria had the upper hand because she was Lily's mother.

I had to take my time at the lawyer's office as we had a plan and it was one of the reasons we arrived late.

I needed everything to be perfect, there was no way I was letting Aria raise my child with that strange man.

I smiled softly as I inserted my car key into the ignition switch when I sighted Aria walking out of the courtroom with Kane by her side.

They were holding hands and I couldn't help but look at them with digust as I drove off.

My drive home was a happy one as I couldn't stop smiling.

Everything was finally falling in place, I could finally have my daughter all to myself legally.

"The only way Aria was going to get Lily was if she comes home," I muttered to myself.

"Once I get the full custody, she would not have any choice but to come back home to me," I added, with a smile.

A part of me felt sad for Aria but i didn't dwell on it as it would spoil my mood and I did not want that.

It was an happy occasion and I wanted to stay happy.

I figured Lilly would have gotten back home from school and i decided to stop at a nearby shopping mall to get her a doll and some treats, but I needed to first make a quick call.

I picked up my phone and called my office, as I had not been to work all day.

I needed to know the situation at the office.

"Hello sir," My assistant said, as she picked up the call.

"Hello," I replied.

"How's the situation there?" I asked.

"Fine," She answered.

"I canceled all your appointments according to your instructions and everything is going well," She added.

"Good," I replied.

"I won't be coming to work today," I continued.

"Call me if you need me," I added.

"Yes sir," She replied, before I hung up the phone.

I was sure she must be curious on why I was not at the office, as I had not missed a day at work in the past year.

I drove into a nearby shopping mall and parked my car into the parking lot before walking out of the car.

I then made my way inside the shopping mall, as the staffs welcomed me warmly.

I knew exactly what Lilly liked and I immediately made my way to the toy section.

I grabbed a small shopping cart and continued to walk.

I walked into the toy section and started to pick some toys I was sure lily was going to like.

Pink was one her favorite colors and I made sure to include some pink toys.

I picked enough toys before making my way to the treats section.

I picked out some cookies for myself and lily and some lollipops for lily before making my way to the counter.

The queue at the counter was a short one and It was soon my turn.

"Thank you," I said, as I collected my shopping bag and paid before walking out of the supermarket.

I then realized I had not spoken to my daughter all day as I walked out of the supermarket.

I dialed the maid's number as I wanted to be sure my daughter was fine.

"Hello," I said, as she answered.

"Have you picked up my daughter from school?" I asked, as I continued to walk.

"Yes," She answered.

"Let me talk to her," I demanded.

"Okay," She answered, as I heard her tell Lily her father wanted to talk to her.

"Hi baby," I said, smiling.

"Hi Daddy," Lily answered.

"When will you be home?" She asked.

"Daddy will be home in some minutes and he has a sweet suprise for his baby," I said.

"Really," She replied, and i could tell she was excited from the way she spoke.

"I know you love surprises," I continued.

"Daddy will see you in a moment. Bye," I added, as I hung up the phone and looked at my phone to see if I had any text messages and emails from work.

I started to scroll through my phone that that I forgot I was still walking when I ran into someone.

My shopping bag fell and everything inside it scattered on the ground.

"I'm sorry," I said, as I bent down and started to pack the toys.

"It's fine," The voice said.

The voice sounded awfully familiar and I immediately looked up to see who it was.

"Jayden," I said, as my mouth widened in suprise.
