Chapter 128
The doctor was on the verge of tears, holding his head and curling up his body, looking at Martin in fear, "We haven't started the surgery yet! The baby is still there."
Martin's fist instantly pulled back, and his expression improved considerably. The abortion hasn't happened yet!
His child was still there, that was good!
Martin dragged Victoria toward the exit of the abortion room.
She gripped the door frame tightly and wouldn't let go, "Martin, I need to abort this child. This child can't be kept!"
Hearing this, Martin was so angry he laughed instead. Why couldn't his child be kept?
He roughly pried her hands off the door frame and dragged her outside.
The doctor got up from the floor and couldn't help but block their way, wanting to tell him, "She can't keep this child, she already has can—"
"Get out of the way!"
In his fury, Martin had no time to listen to this doctor's nonsense.
He knew this doctor was already on Victoria's side!
His overwhelming presence made the doctor shut up and obediently step aside.
Martin grabbed Victoria and walked out of the abortion room. His face was dark, his steps quick and urgent, and he gripped her wrist very hard.
It hurt so much that tears kept falling from her eyes.
Victoria didn't know how it could be such a coincidence. How did he know she was pregnant, and that she was getting an abortion!
Half a minute later, she was dragged to the black Bentley.
The car door opened, and she was roughly shoved into the passenger seat.
She tried to open the door, but it was locked.
Martin floored the gas pedal, speeding all the way. What should have been a fifteen-minute drive took only five minutes to reach the apartment entrance.
He dragged Victoria out of the car, his face cold, and brought her upstairs.
He walked so fast that she had to jog to keep up, and several times she almost fell, but he never stopped for her.
The bedroom door was opened.
Martin gave Victoria a hard shove.
Victoria's entire body was thrown onto the large bed covered with a soft blanket.
"Making me breakfast, being unusually attentive, not answering calls—all so you could secretly get an abortion?" Martin said, grabbing her by the back of the neck and forcing her to look at him. "Who gave you the nerve to do this?"
The back of her neck felt like it was about to be crushed. Victoria was in so much pain that tears streamed down her face.
"What? You dare to do it but not admit it? You dare to abort my child but won't admit it? Speak!" Martin roared, his eyes bloodshot.
Victoria had never seen Martin this furious. She was so scared her body shook violently. His eyes were so cold, as if he wanted to tear her apart alive.
But there was a blood feud between them, wasn't there?
She was his enemy's daughter. Would he really allow her to give birth?
Victoria didn't believe it. The only possibility was that she had made the decision on her own.
Even for an abortion, he should be the one to decide.
Victoria gave a pale smile. "Mr. Collins, when do you want me to abort it then?"
"What did you say?" Martin narrowed his eyes, shock written all over them.
Victoria smiled mockingly. "You're so angry just because I made the decision for you, because you didn't have a say. I'll listen to you completely. Whenever you want me to get an abortion, I'll go."
Thinking of her physical condition, she added, "I just hope you can let me abort it soon. After all, we've already registered for divorce."
"You're so eager to abort. Could it be this child isn't mine?" Martin smiled bloodthirstily and suddenly locked his hand around her throat.
Victoria smiled bitterly. She was used to him slandering her like this.
If a misunderstanding could make him abort this child, she didn't care anymore.
She just wanted to live a few more days.
"Whatever Mr. Collins thinks it is, that's what it is," Victoria smiled faintly. "So, when does Mr. Collins plan to abort the child in my belly?"
Martin was driven crazy by her. She was actually looking forward to the child being aborted.
He remembered when they first started dating, she really wanted to have his child, but now that she was pregnant, she didn't want it anymore.
The veins on the back of Martin's hand gripping her neck bulged. Just for the dirty things Hayden had done, strangling Victoria a hundred times wouldn't be enough.
But now the opportunity was right in front of him, yet he suddenly couldn't bear to do it.
Even catching her trying to abort his child, he still couldn't bear to strangle her!
Because there was only one Victoria. If he strangled her, she'd be gone.
Finally, Martin, eyes red, forcibly suppressed the anger in his heart and let her go.
She collapsed on the bed, breathing in fresh air in big gulps.
"This child—you'll give birth whether you want to or not!" Martin stared at her, only saying this after a long while.
Victoria sneered, "Having your enemy's daughter bear your child—don't you find it disgusting? If you want a child, go find my best friend Mia! She'd definitely be willing to have your baby!"
Martin clenched his fists, glaring at her furiously.
She wasn't afraid at all, "Or is it that you're such a scumbag that even Mia won't have your child anymore?"
"Victoria, are you looking for death? Have I been too merciful to you? Have I been too good to you? Is that why you dare to talk to me like this!" Martin grabbed her throat again.
Seeing him looking like he wanted to tear her apart alive, Victoria just found it ironic.
They used to be the most devoted lovers—how did they get to this point of mutual disgust, step by step?
At this moment, Victoria suddenly wanted to just die at Martin's hands.
If he strangled her like this, she wouldn't owe anyone anything. It would be a life for a life.
Late-stage liver cancer would cause ascites, and she'd be tortured by the illness beyond recognition, looking completely lifeless.
Being strangled by Martin would at least preserve her final dignity. She cared about her appearance—she didn't want to die looking so terrible.
Perhaps Martin would treat Hayden and the Gonzalez family well out of guilt for strangling her.
"Martin, just strangle me to death."
"If I die, I'll be completely free."
"Your hatred can be let go too, and you can live well."
Victoria's eyes were red, her nose unbearably sore. A tear escaped from her eye socket as she gazed at Martin's face so close to hers, "Do it, Martin. Haven't you been hoping for my death all along? Haven't you already bought me a coffin? Kill me. I won't blame you, as long as you treat the Gonzalez family well for the sake of my life paying for a life."
A flash of confusion and shock crossed Martin's eyes.
Victoria would rather die than bear his child?
For a man, especially for Martin who had power and status, this was humiliation, even more so an insult.
"Victoria, you're still my wife, Martin's wife! Bearing children for me is your duty. Don't you understand?" Martin said through gritted teeth, roaring in anger.
