Chapter 333

Chapter 333
Diana POV

Watching him, Katelyn suddenly felt her desperate desire to save him wasn't so strong anymore.

She let out a cruel laugh, her voice unnervingly gentle. "Robert, do you know who she's marrying?"

Robert: "...Who?"

Katelyn: "James."

"That's impossible!"

Robert denied it outright. "James—with his status—how could he marry Diana? That can't be true. I don't believe it. You're lying, aren't you? Diana sent you to lie to me, didn't she? She's trying to make me angry, isn't she?"

Katelyn went along with his delusion. "I don't believe it either. She and I were both your women once. Now that you're in prison, she and I should've ended up the same way... But why? Why am I now some crazy woman everyone despises, while she gets to live in a mansion, wear expensive clothes, eat gourmet dinners? And she gets to marry James—that brilliant, radiant man... Why? Why? What's the difference between us? Why are our endings so different?"

She muttered in disbelief, every word dripping with jealousy. Insane jealousy.

Before Diana was with Robert, Katelyn had envied her—why did Diana get all of Robert's attention?

Later, when Diana openly dated Robert, she still envied her—why did she have to be the hidden mistress while Diana could marry him openly?

Now that Robert was in prison, her jealousy burned even hotter—why, when their situations were the same, their fates identical, were their outcomes so different?

Robert, hearing Katelyn ramble on without saying anything he wanted to hear, shouted, "Katelyn! Katelyn! What are you even talking about? Speak clearly!"

Katelyn's clouded gaze turned to him, slowly focusing—but hollow, devoid of emotion.

She spoke slowly, each word deliberate and emotionless. "I'm saying Diana and James are getting married today. The news is everywhere. Even in this prison, you'll probably see their wedding announcement today. Take your time watching. I'm done talking. And from now on, even I won't come see you anymore..."

Katelyn finished speaking and left without looking back, ignoring Robert's frantic shouting behind her.

That afternoon at lunch, every channel was broadcasting news of James and Diana's wedding.

Robert refused to accept it. He ranted wildly in prison, claiming Diana was his wife.

No one believed him.

After all, how could the CEO of the Howard Group's wife be the spouse of a convict?

Everyone thought Robert had lost his mind.

The wedding venue was a vision of pure, immaculate vitality.

It was held in the grand ballroom of New Valley's most exclusive convention center.

The entire space had been completely transformed—James had spared no expense to create a magnificent, pristine sanctuary wrapped in magnolia blossoms.

There was no excessive decoration. Only the utmost simplicity and grandeur.

White magnolias bloomed in layers, their petals clean and translucent, refracting light like frozen moonlight.

A gentle breeze flowed from hidden ventilation systems, carrying the faint, elegant fragrance of magnolias—crisp and refined.

The aisle wasn't an ordinary red carpet. It was a semi-transparent frosted crystal walkway, covered with a light layer of magnolia petals, forming a corridor of fresh flowers.

I stood at the far end of the corridor.

My wedding dress was also minimalist in design, with no excessive embellishments—only subtle magnolia embroidery along the shoulders and train, visible only when I moved.

Jane held my arm as we slowly walked down the crystal path.

Warm white LED strips hidden beneath the walkway followed our steps. With each step, it felt like I was walking on flowing light, glimmering faintly through the gaps between petals—dreamlike and surreal.

Every step felt like walking on clouds—so light, so unreal.

If Jane weren't standing beside me, personally escorting me down the aisle.

If James weren't standing at the other end in his groom's attire, smiling quietly as he waited for me.

I truly would have thought this was a dream.

A scene I wouldn't have dared dream of.

When we finally reached James.

Jane looked at him. "James, I'm entrusting you with my most precious sister."

James smiled faintly, his gaze fixed on me. "For a lifetime. I will never let her down."

He extended his hand toward me.

Jane held my hand and solemnly placed it in his palm, then quietly stepped aside.

Under the eyes of all our guests, James and I exchanged rings.

The officiant recited the vows.

James didn't seem to be listening. His eyes never left me.

My shy expression was reflected entirely in his gaze.

His heart and eyes were full of me.

"May I kiss my bride now?"

James smiled at me.

I nodded shyly.

We embraced deeply and kissed.

A long, lingering kiss.

In that moment, it felt like the rest of the world ceased to exist—only petals dancing through the air.

I looked at this pristine, flawless scene before me, then lifted my gaze to the azure sky.

Jane watched this pure and unblemished world, then looked up at the blue sky: Grandpa, I've brought Diana to his side.

She'll be happy.

You can rest easy.

A magnolia petal drifted gently down and landed in her hair.

Frank reached up and plucked it out for her.

Jane met his eyes and said softly, "Let's go."

Frank nodded.

While everyone's attention remained on the newlyweds onstage, Jane and Frank quietly slipped away...
