I put my hand on his chest instinctively, not to bump into his chest. He immediately wrapped his arms around my waist, locking me.

"Let go!" I said with a warning and he shook his head.

"No, please you need to hear everything that happened and I am…." He looked at me with begging eyes but nothing could waver me anymore.

"I said, let go!" I yelled with gritted teeth.

"No, darling, you need to listen. I can't lose you both again." He shook his head again and tightened his grip on my waist.

That is it, my patience has run out and he asked for it. I quickly bend my leg, kicking him just beside his private area. His grip loosened instinctively and I took that as a chance to hold his collar and turned my body around. I put my feet between his legs before kicking his feet forcefully, making him lose his balance and gripping his right arm before doing a one-arm shoulder throw. He landed on the floor with a loud thud.

"Ouche, damn it. I didn't know you learned how to fight, you caught me there." He said as he rubbed his affected arm. He sat up and looked at me intensely and smirked.

"That was so hot." My cheeks suddenly turned crimson red at his remarks and he laughed before he turned serious and looked into my eyes.

"I will leave for now because I can see you are upset. I know you hate me and you should because I really did wrong you but let me tell you this, darling. I have only loved you this whole life and there is only one woman who owns my heart, body and soul. That person is you, I know I hurt you and I want to explain everything so please hear me out. I will come back soon and I will get you and our son back, I promise." He said seriously and kissed my forehead before leaving.

I was too shocked to respond to anything, he said he loves me? Did I hear him right? The words I was dying to hear from him when I wanted to be with him. What now? I could hear the sound of my heartbeat, it was beating so fast.

'No, Yvonne. He is just trying to mess you up again. He didn't mean it.'

I went upstairs to my room and found Samuel and Ryan playing video games. As soon as they saw me, they both stopped.

"Are you okay?" Samuel asked as I sat beside them and Ryan sat on my lap burying his face in my bosom.

I wrapped my arms around him, hugged him tightly and kissed his forehead.

"I am okay, you should go to work now. We will be fine, I already took the day off. I will just spend time with my prince today." I assured him that I am fine.

"Okay, good to see that you are okay. I have an important meeting so I need to go for now. I will be back tonight and will stay for a while." He said, kissing mine and Ryan's forehead. I nodded and smiled, he left.

"D..do you want to know about your father, my prince?" I asked hesitantly after a while of silence.

"I know he Is my father, mother." Ryan responded quietly. I was shocked, I had never mentioned anything about him before.

"How? Did he tell you anything?" He just nodded without saying anything.

"Would you like to be with him?" I asked softly, stroking his head.

He looked up from my chest and cupped my face with his small chubby hands.

"I want you to be happy, mother. I don't want anything else." He said, caressing my cheeks.

I suddenly felt so emotional, tears started welling up in my eyes. I hugged him again, he was always this considerate but I knew him well. Margate told me that he asked her to let Nathan in which clearly means he wanted to assess him and he wanted him to recognize him as his son. I can't be selfish when it comes to my son. At that moment, I made up my mind.

"Would you like to return home to grandpa and grandma?" I asked and his eyes lit up. He was missing them as much as I do.

"Really? Can we go?" He asked excitedly.

"Of course, my prince." I replied and he happily kicked his hands in the air and went to pick his things that he will take with him.

There is no reason to hide anymore and my father needs me as well. It is time to go back to the life I have been running away from. It is time to be Yvonne Beckett, the heiress of Beckett Group of industries.

"Sir, I have been avoiding going back home because of a few reasons and now I think it is time to take over my position in my father's company." I replied.

"So, you decide to come out of your hiding?" He asked as a matter of fact and I nodded.

"Okay, I accept your resignation. I want to see the heiress of Beckett Group of industries, the real you." He smiled at me and I was surprised because he looked more handsome while he smiled.

I never thought he would accept my resignation just like that without much stress. But I think it is a good thing, now all I need to do is focus on myself and my son.
