Chapter 30 Kiss Molly’s foot
Wesley’s POV
“You can’t do that. You are the head of this family,” Mother cried, adding, “You are injured too. Don’t do it.”
Giovanni was ruthless, showing no respect for my mother and telling her, “Mrs. Thompson if you don’t pick up the remaining items with your mouth, you will join your husband.”
I couldn't bear to see my mother endure such humiliation, so I knelt. “It’s alright. I will do it.”
Kiara looked at me with disdain in her eyes. “What would Wade think if he heard that his father was reduced to a dog?” she snickered, and I wasn't surprised.
She had left me before and managed to worm her way back into my life. Because of her, everything between me and Molly was destroyed, yet she had the audacity to say this.
Kiara seemed to regret her words when Giovanni turned his gaze towards her. “Join him in picking up the jewelry with your mouth,” he ordered coldly, disdain evident in his eyes as he looked at her.
Kiara appeared repulsed. “You can’t make me do that. It’s against the law.”
Giovanni took a step towards her, and I already felt pity for her. "Kitty, just do it. You won't die," I urged her, noticing the disappointment in Radley's eyes.
"Wesley, Molly would never respect us if you do this," my mother added, unable to say more out of fear. Kiara hesitated, refusing to relent.
"I won't do it," she declared, heading towards the door. However, Giovanni grabbed her by the back of her neck, carelessly dragging her to where I knelt and forcefully shoving her head to the floor, causing her forehead to hit the ground.
"Arhhhh," Kiara cried out, managing to pick up a piece of jewelry with her mouth before Giovanni released his grip. Her forehead was left red and swollen.
Under Giovanni Dawson's intense gaze, we picked up the remaining jewelry from the floor with our mouths before I could stand up again.
I had never experienced such shame before, and I vowed to make Molly pay. If I had to hire assassins as bodyguards, I would do so to seek revenge on Molly and Giovanni.
Just when I thought it was all over, Giovanni had more humiliating moments in store for us.
Before we leave, I insist that each of you kiss Molly's feet," he declared, his gaze darkening.
After breaking my wrist, injuring Kiara, sending my father to the hospital, humiliating my family, and making us pick up Molly's jewelry with our mouths, he was now ordering me, a CEO, to kiss Molly's feet?
His words felt like a dagger to my heart. "And if I refuse?"
"I will force you," he replied coldly, reminding me of what he did to Kiara earlier.
Realizing I had no choice, I knelt before Molly. I had hurt her before, so I saw it as a form of apology. Besides, she was my ex-wife who had never wronged me.
However, my mother and Radley began to protest. "Wesley, how can we do this? We should report him to the police."
"The police were here earlier and only believed his side of the story. They were in a rush to leave," Bertha added as I reluctantly kissed Molly's feet.
I only touched the bridge of her foot as her toes were covered by the designer stilettos she wore.
I had never bought her anything like that before, so Giovani must have bought it for her.
When I stood up, Bertha knelt and kissed the bridge of her foot. However, Radley, Mom, and Kiara remained stubborn. I reminded them,
"Dad is already in the hospital, and I don’t know his condition. I can leave you all here to face your fate and go check up on him."
My words struck a chord, and I saw Kiara boiling with a mix of rage and hate as she knelt and kissed Molly’s feet.
Radley looked at me with a sense of loss and disappointment before following suit.
As for my mother, it was only when Giovanni approached her that she finally knelt to kiss Molly’s foot, looking as if her world had come to an end.
"Molly, I have it all recorded, everyone who kissed your feet tonight. If any of them try anything foolish, this video will go viral."
I expected Molly to refuse, as that was unlike her. To my greatest disappointment, she smiled and went to stand by Giovanni’s side.
“Thank you so much, Gianni. I will never forget this,” Molly said.
Giovanni smiled, but his eyes didn't reflect the same warmth. He turned to Molly and asked, “Do you think this is the end?”
Molly and I were both confused by his question. Giovanni walked around the room confidently, and then he went to my wine cabinet. He pulled out my most expensive wine, worth over a hundred thousand dollars.
“Are you going to drink that?” Molly asked him. I was eager to hear his response, but instead, he delivered words that felt like a million blows to my already injured arm.
