Chapter 773 I Will Hate You for a Lifetime

Chapter 773 I Will Hate You for a Lifetime

Upon hearing this, Austin's face fell a bit. Kimberly could tell these people were acting so brazenly at the Watson Mansion because Laura was currently Mrs. Watson. They thought they had some kind of special connection with the Watson family, which made them feel like they could do whatever they wanted.

These people were just like Marc.

"Mr. Watson, didn't we agree inside? You said the tutor could hang out with us. You promised, right?"

Kimberly's heart sank. He agreed? Agreed to let them mess with her?

She slowly turned to look at Vincent, her eyes blazing with anger. Vincent looked back at her. They didn't say a word, but they both knew what the other was thinking.

Vincent turned back to Austin, his face calm. "Everyone's had a bit to drink tonight. Let's not take jokes too seriously. Besides, this woman is my nephew's tutor. My grandmother likes her a lot. If you mess with her, even if I don't do anything, my grandmother won't just sit back and watch."

Austin deflated. A beautiful and classy woman like Kimberly was rare. He didn't want to give up so easily.

"Mr. Watson, it's just a small thing tonight. Why make a big deal out of it? Let the security open the door, and we'll take care of Ms. Sanchez ourselves. I'm just trying to be nice and send her home. Look, she's holding a kid."

Kimberly sneered. It was the first time she'd met wolves in sheep's clothing.

"No need. Get out of my sight right now. I don't want anything to do with you. I don't know you."

Austin glared at Kimberly, and Marc, not backing down, said, "Vincent, can I at least take her home?"

Anyone paying attention could see Marc was trying to help Austin. If he took Kimberly home, she'd still end up with Austin.

Lexine's face hardened. "No need. I'll take Ms. Sanchez home. You're just Laura's guests, not even Mr. Watson's. If there's nothing else, please leave. Mrs. Watson will deal with you for tonight's events tomorrow."

Mentioning Amelia made them exchange glances, filled with resentment and reluctance.

The next moment, Howard grabbed a handful of sand from the nearby bushes and threw it at them, shouting, "You bunch of jerks! Why are you bothering Kimberly? I'm calling the cops!"

Howard dialed the police on his smartwatch. Vincent and Lexine didn't stop him. Kimberly was surprised but didn't intervene.

The call connected, and a police officer's voice came through.

"Officer, I need to report a group of bad guys bullying my tutor. They won't leave her alone!"

Austin and his group were stunned, not expecting Howard to actually call the police.

"Calm down. Tell me the address."

"The Watson Mansion entrance!"

The officer on the other end went silent. Kimberly knew the mention of the Watson Mansion had likely startled them.

"Is there an adult nearby?"

Vincent took the smartwatch from Howard and ended the call.

Howard jumped up in frustration. "Uncle Vincent! What are you doing? I want the police to arrest these bad guys!"

"Calm down and go to bed," Vincent said, patting Howard's head.

"I'm not going. I want to help Lexine take Kimberly home."

"Dream on. Don't you have school tomorrow?"

Ignoring Howard, Vincent turned to Austin. "You should leave. Don't touch her without my permission."

Though it sounded protective, Kimberly felt disgusted. It was like giving a slap and then offering a sweet treat. What kind of behavior was this?

Since Vincent had spoken, Austin and his group had no reason to stay. They exchanged reluctant glances and got into their cars.

Marc remained, looking pitiful. "Vincent, do I have to leave too?"

"Of course. Go home," Vincent said calmly.

Marc clenched his fists in disbelief but reluctantly got into the car. The three cars reversed and drove away one after another.

The chaotic scene finally quieted down.

Lexine apologized, "I'm sorry, Ms. Sanchez. I should have escorted you out. This wouldn't have happened."

Kimberly's expression was complex. She looked at Caleb, who was sleeping soundly, and sighed in relief.

"It's okay, Lexine. I didn't expect them to be so persistent."

Lexine felt guilty. "I'll have the driver take you home. They won't dare follow you. Mrs. Watson will deal with them tomorrow."

"Thank you, Lexine."

Kimberly handed Caleb to Lexine and crouched to pat Howard's head. "Howard, thank you for saving me tonight."

The child stood with his hands on his hips. "Don't worry, Kimberly. If they come back, I'll be the first to kick them out. They're all bad guys!"

As Kimberly left with Caleb, she passed Vincent, her face expressionless. "Vincent, we have nothing to do with each other. You have no right to let others harm me. If this continues, I'll hate you forever and expose Laura's infertility to everyone!"

Vincent's brows furrowed, then relaxed. He was about to speak, but Kimberly had already gotten into the car.

Watching the car drive away from the Watson Mansion, Vincent felt an inexplicable emptiness, as if something important was slipping away.

He only looked away when the car disappeared from sight.

Lexine sighed. "Mr. Watson, Mrs. Watson was very angry about tonight. She almost came down herself."

"It's late. I'll explain to Grandma tomorrow. Everyone, go rest."

The next morning, Amelia burst into Vincent's room. Laura, who had just put on a negligee to seduce Vincent, quickly hid behind the curtains, startled by Amelia's sudden entrance.
