Grace POV
When I recovered, I saw that he had already pulled out his fingers, his abyss eyes staring at mine intently. "W... What?" I asked. "I'm just thinking of a way to make you my bitch real quick. Although I know you will end up accepting later on but I don't have that luxurious time to wait for you" he said. "A... And what made you think I will accept" I asked once more "Because you will have no option but to" his eyes became sharp immediately that I felt my whole body froze but he chuckled "Sometimes ignorance is not bliss at all because a lot of people have died due to lack of information" he paused, his gaze accessing me from head to toe and then back up.
But then he checked his time and tsked "Already need to be somewhere already. But I will make out another time to be with you and probably talk sense into you, and by then if you don't still accept then I will have no option but to make Jake 'abandon' you and when he does I will happily kidnap you to my territory and with the fact that you can't resist me what do you think will happen from then on? I will fuck you like I want, tease and make you whimper to my satisfaction and I will..." he paused and turned around as he opened the door.
My mind was in a mess and at the same time buzzing. I don't know why I felt he really had the power to force Jake to divorce me. And asking the male to choose between his assets and me of course I don't need to be told twice what he will choose, no matter how much he loves me it can never outclass his love for power and wealth, besides he's a greedy person who have one and looks for two therefore...
My mind was so occupied that I didn't realize I had bypassed Vincent and headed out of the restroom. When I realised, I had already reached the event hall, but no one was there anymore as they had long left. I gulped and looked behind me to see the smirking male, still looking all pretty but intimidating. Without delaying, I rush out of the building but not without hearing say, "If any of you dare mention anything about what you saw just now, know that it's your death sentence as you will be trading the information to the world with your life. And if I can't find who in particular released it, I will just kill all of you present here, got it?" "Yes, master", voices that I never saw in the hall when I was there replied.
As I reached where my car was, "Ma'am, we have been waiting for you. Hope everything is okay?" The security that came with me in the same car asked. I breathed out and nodded "Did anyone tell you anything?" I asked, because they shouldn't have been so calm when every other guest left and I never appeared. "Yes Ma'am, a security came to us and inform us you where having a discussion with Mr. Vincent, and the fact that we don't have any misunderstanding with the Largo we didn't bother much" he said and I nodded. "It's okay, let's go" I said entering the car without waiting for any of them to open the door for me.
What was filling my mind as we made our way back was how bad my name would be if Jake divorced me, how sluty I would appear when the world heard I settled with a younger man over a befitting man because of my unquenchable lust and all sorts of accusations. I don't think I can stand any of it at all. "What should I do?.."
John POV
I watched from the top of the mansion as Grace entered the Rumez customised car and left whilst I thought deeply. I don't know what Vincent was telling Grace or discussing with her but the involvement of that devil might spoil my plans which I can't let happen.
It has not been a month ever since 'they' chatted me up and discussed with me about Mr. Rich's wealth and companies. I don't know why, but Grace and her daughter never seem to inquire about the assets of their father and husband. If it's Natalia, I would accept that she wasn't aware but Grace? I don't think so.
Many years ago, the reason those of Mr. Rich's friends came to Grace one after the other for her hand in marriage wasn't entirely because of her looks; it's far from it and mainly because of the wealth and assets which Richard left behind.
Before they set his accident up, they thought that once he died they would divide his wealth and share but as fate may have it they discovered later on that Richard had gone on a strict process with every bit of his company and wealth even to the extent that none of it would be touched without alarming the government. Richard made it so and entirely so that only Natalia can inherit all his assets and that will be possible once she finishes her university level.
When Richard's friends discovered this, to say that they wanted to kill people just to vent their anger was an understatement. Although all of them are wealthy, Rich is richer, much richer than any of them and if anyone inherits Richard's wealth, even the Largos, Rumez and the others won't see their back at all. But although Richard was very rich, it wasn't enough to awaken their murderous intent until he told them of the next level he wanted to bring his wealth to. Richard wasn't only pretty but highly intelligent. Once he succeeds in that plan, he will be at the same level as Vincent and the Rumez twins.
Originally, I didn't know that the two pretty boys of Jake were already at that level until Vincent hinted at it a few times.
