Chapter 41

Marion and Jessica turned their heads, and everyone who was there turned to Marion and Jessica who suddenly became the center of attention.

"Hey, Marry? Is this a surprise? Are you free now?" said Jane, Marion got up and they both hugged.

"Yeah, um-I just came out this morning."

"Here, Marry our VIP customer, Jess. Remember her beautiful face," said Jane, chuckling and embracing Marion.

"Um-yes, Madam," Jessica replied.

“Yeah, is she the new employee? I just saw her." Marion looked at Jane then turned to Jessica.

"Keep me in mind, because I would usually be here almost every day," she added.

"Oh, yes. She's only been here a month, it's only natural that you don't see her because you're in prison, hahaha."

"Oh, Jane, that's over. Can you shut up?! Would you like to try too?" Marion joked, Jane was a little different to her, her jokes hurt.

"Oh, no ... you do it, Marry. You look pathetic, oh yeah do you want hair or bodywork?" asked Jane changing their conversation.

"Everything Jane, I feel so sore ... I need treatment, damn once every two months I can't go to the salon," Marion complained.

"Jessica will pamper you today, enjoy Marry." Jane looked at Marion and Jane in turn.

"You mean I will be handled by her? Your employee who has only been with this month?" asked Marion in a trivial tone. "Don't be kidding Jane, can you guarantee a good job?"

"Good job Marry, you don't need to hesitate. I guarantee she won't let you down okay." she smiled. "I'll stay first, I have other business, bye," said Jane before she walked away. Marion shook her head disapprovingly, she wanted another employee to serve her.

"Jane, No!" She watched the salon owner leave, then turned to Jessica. "Then let's start now, I want a cream bath and it looks like my hair also needs vitamins, after that I want my hair tidied up," Marion asked, sitting down without being told.

"Fine, Miss Larsen," Jess said doubtfully, she didn't know much about Marion, and that was better for Marion because she wasn't being judged by those around her anymore.

Jess started to cover Marion's body with a kep cloth, then took the cream bath medicine. Jess brushed Marion's hair gently and the woman looked at Jessica in the reflection in the large mirror in front of her, who looked nervous but tried to stay calm. Like it or not, Marion had to accept that. In fact, she felt despised by Jane, but she was reluctant to find another salon.

Since he entered the salon a few minutes ago he felt a little nauseous, maybe because her body is not fit enough. Marion thought positively, after the massage she would definitely feel better, she thought. However, when the employee opened the drug, as well as the smell of hair dye medicine, Marion's stomach felt like it was stirring, she raised her right hand to tell her to stop and then, Marion covered her mouth and then ran towards the toilet available at the salon, she vomited water. She wasn't dizzy but why was it so strange that she could vomit just by smelling the medicated cream bath and hair dye?

"Huek!"

Marion took a tissue and wiped her mouth, then she looked at herself in the mirror. "I'm not dizzy, but why does that smell bother me?" she asked herself.

She then decided to return to her place, and after some people had finished treatment, she sat back down.

Jessica asked her because she was afraid that the customer was doing something wrong. "Are you sick, Miss?"

"Ah, no. I'm fine Jess. Just carry on, maybe I'm just not feeling well."

"Oh, all right."

After receiving the order, Jessica continued to give medicine to Marion's hair, there she felt very nauseous, felt like she wanted to vomit continuously but she held it in even though Jessica was already very worried.

"Are you pregnant, Miss?" she asked.

gosh!

Marion didn't answer, she thought. 'How could I be pregnant? Is it true?' she wondered. "Ah, how could it be?" Marion replied with a smile. "just go on..."

Jessica then nodded and continued giving medicine then wrapped her hair in a small towel then prepared a steam steamer. Marion was really bothered by that, she then covered her nose so as not to inhale the scent.

In his office, Lucas was busy with important files that had piled up, but suddenly his ex-wife called him. Lucas frowned, surprised. What happened until Marion called him? "Is she free? Why the sudden call?" he asked softly. He then immediately picked up the call.

"Yes, hello?" greeted Lucas coldly, as usual.

"Luke, you have to know something, can we meet at the cafe we usually met?" asked Marion from the other side.

"Are you free yet?"

"Yes."

"Why can-"

"Please there's something important you need to know," Marion said, pushy as usual.

"I can't."

"Why? Are you afraid of your secretary?" mocked Marion.

"Clarie, say her name and she's now my wife, I have to protect her feelings."

"Oh yeah? But you should also know that I have conceived your baby!"

"What?!" Lucas immediately stood up, he was furiously pacing back and forth in disbelief. "Don't joke around Marry, we're divorced ... how could you have my baby."

"Did you forget, huh?! We did that morning!"

"When? We've never even met."

"Are you pretending to forget, Luke?! We did it before you asked me to sign on our divorce papers, you even threatened me by protecting your damn secretary!"

"Don't call her damn Marion! You deserve that title!" shouted Lucas furiously, he felt Marion was going too far. Lucas then cut the call.

Marion squealed in annoyance. "Shit! I have to get you back Luke!"

Lucas swore repeatedly, he was alone in his room. He wanted to leave right away, but the work was still piling up, plus Marion's statement about her pregnancy, really didn't make sense to Lucas.

"Aargh!" yelled Lucas ruffling his hair, frustrated.

The next day, Lucas had another headache with Marion because the woman said that she wanted them to meet soon, that Lucas didn't want Marion to tell Clarie herself that she was pregnant with Lucas' child.

They then promised to meet at the cafe they used to frequent, Marion had been waiting for about ten minutes and Lucas appeared, came over to her, and sat down opposite Marion.

"Say what you want! Don't beat around the bush," Lucas said matter-of-factly, his face always cold even though Marion wanted to be spoiled by him.

The woman then took out three different test packs and all showed positive results. Lucas took one of the test packs and saw for himself, he didn't want to be lied to by a woman who was none other than his ex-wife.

"I can't believe it," Lucas said casually. Marion smiled, he spoke up after a long silence.

"Let's go to the doctor and prove everything, Luke."

'Why are you even going to the doctor? Has she conspired with the doctor?' Lucas thought, he had lost faith in the woman in front of him.

"I don't believe you're pregnant, Marry. You must have been in cahoots with the doctor."

"Oh, Luke, why are you so cruel to accuse me of lying. Choose any doctor, I'm really pregnant," Marion said casually, Lucas caught the honesty in her eyes. He is now upset, confused.
