Chapter 630

Chapter 630

Henry nodded to the staff, and a massive silver gift box was wheeled to the center of the stage.

Zoey held Gabriel and Travis's hands as they walked up to the stage. Under the watchful eyes of the crowd, she softly told her sons, "Close your eyes. I'll count to three, and then you can open them."

Gabriel and Travis obediently closed their eyes, their long eyelashes casting tiny shadows under the stage lights.

Zoey signaled the staff to open the gift box, then gently said, "One, two, three, you can open your eyes now!"

Gabriel and Travis opened their eyes simultaneously and let out excited squeals in unison.

Inside the box were two complete astronaut outfits, complete with realistic spacesuits, helmets, gloves, and boots. There was even a small control panel that could simulate various operations of a space capsule.

"Mom! Is this for real?" Gabriel's voice trembled with excitement as his small hands eagerly touched the visor of the spacesuit.

"We can be astronauts now!" Travis jumped up in excitement, immediately trying to climb into the spacesuit.

The children in the audience gasped in envy, with a few even running up to get a closer look at the amazing gift. Zoey and Henry exchanged a smile and helped Gabriel and Travis try on the spacesuits.

"Hold on, there's more," Henry said, taking two smaller gift boxes from the staff. "These are from Dad."

Gabriel received a box wrapped in blue, while Travis got one in red.

Amid the crowd's anticipation, they opened their gifts simultaneously.

"It's a coding robot!" Gabriel exclaimed, holding up a delicate little robot with a screen flashing "Happy Birthday."

Travis pulled out a small telescope from his box. "Dad! Can this see the stars?"

"Of course," Henry squatted down, explaining patiently, "This isn't just a toy telescope. It can really observe the craters on the moon and the moons of Jupiter. We can stargaze together tonight."

The children in the audience gasped in awe again.

Several kids couldn't resist running up to the stage, wanting to touch these cool gifts.

Zoey noticed that almost all the children were gathered around Gabriel and Travis, except for one boy standing in the corner.

The boy was dressed neatly in a shirt and suspenders, his hair perfectly combed, but his expression didn't match the joyful atmosphere. He pressed his lips tightly together, his eyes fixed on Gabriel with a look of obvious jealousy.

Zoey was about to go over and ask when a relative pulled her into a conversation, preventing her from leaving.

Unbeknownst to her, in those few minutes she looked away, an uninvited guest had quietly approached the lonely boy.

By a pillar at the edge of the banquet hall, a man dressed in a hotel staff uniform was discreetly observing everything.

He wore black-rimmed glasses, his hair neatly slicked back, looking no different from the other staff.

But in reality, he was the world's second-ranked hacker, code-named "Black Wind."

Black Wind stared at Gabriel, who was demonstrating the coding robot's functions on stage, a look of disbelief in his eyes.

This four-year-old child had rapidly risen in the hacker world over the past year under the alias "Ghost," not only cracking several of his meticulously designed security systems but also surpassing him to win first place in an international hacking competition six months ago.

What was even more infuriating was that this "Ghost" never showed his face, leaving only a smiley face symbol as his signature online.

"This can't be," Black Wind muttered, his fingers unconsciously tapping the pillar.

But the fact that this four-year-old had disarmed the virus he planted in the Windsor Game Company's main computer two days ago was undeniable.

It seemed he had to find a way to confront Gabriel face-to-face. Otherwise, he couldn't believe he had been losing to such a young child for a whole year.

Black Wind had originally planned to take advantage of the chaos today to kidnap Gabriel and force him to reveal his technical secrets.

But seeing the tight security in the banquet hall and the adults constantly surrounding Gabriel, he realized today wasn't the right time to act.

As he was about to leave, the boy standing in the corner caught his attention.

The boy's jealousy and anger were so evident, contrasting sharply with the surrounding joyful atmosphere.

Black Wind adjusted his bow tie and, pretending to tidy up the table, approached the boy.

"Why aren't you playing with the others?" He asked in a low voice, wearing a standard service staff smile.

The boy glanced at him warily. "Who are you?"

"I'm a staff member here to take care of the kids," Black Wind lied without missing a beat. "I saw you standing here alone and wanted to see if you needed any help."

The boy hesitated, his gaze drifting back to Gabriel on the stage. "I hate him."

"Why?" Black Wind feigned surprise. "It's his birthday today."

"Everyone likes him," the boy said through gritted teeth. "Even Sandy said she wants to marry him when she grows up! I liked Sandy first!"

A glint of interest flashed in Black Wind's eyes. He crouched down to the boy's level. "So, what's your name?"

"Dwayne Larson." Dwayne reluctantly gave his name. "Sandy and I are neighbors. We've played together since we were little. But now she only wants to play with Gabriel. She says Gabriel can do magic, making pictures move on the computer."

Black Wind almost laughed out loud.

The so-called "magic" was clearly Gabriel showing off simple coding tricks. Dwayne's jealousy provided a perfect entry point.

"If someone could help you teach Gabriel a lesson, would you be happy?"

Black Wind asked softly, his voice just loud enough for Dwayne to hear.

Dwayne's eyes lit up. "You can do that?"

"Maybe," Black Wind smiled mysteriously. "Tell me your kindergarten's address, and I'll come find you tomorrow. We can talk about how to make Gabriel less popular."

Dwayne eagerly gave the address and class information for Sunshine Kindergarten.

Black Wind nodded in satisfaction, pulling a candy from his pocket and handing it to Dwayne. "This is our little secret, okay? Don't tell anyone."

Dwayne took the candy and nodded, finally smiling.

Black Wind stood up, casting one last glance at the celebrated Gabriel, a cold smile playing on his lips.

A four-year-old hacking prodigy? He was determined to see how this "Ghost" would fare without anyone to protect him.

He straightened his uniform and casually walked towards the exit.

Though he hadn't managed to kidnap Gabriel today, discovering Dwayne as a potential weak point made the trip worthwhile.

Tomorrow, he would approach his target differently.
