Chapter 23 Just a game
Chapter 23 Just a game
TALIA POV
“Please Zane… Ahh…” I begged but he wasn’t moved by me, instead he kept thrusting in, going deeper and deeper.
“Fuck Talia, your ass is so soft. I’m your husband aren’t I, so let’s enjoy the moment. Besides this is the first time we’re having sex,” he muttered as he rammed freely into my wet hole, my whole body bouncing to his rhythm.
“What did he mean by this is the first time, what happened the first time we got married?”
He wrapped his hands around my neck, pulling me back, this time his cock went more deep and I could feel it in my stomach. I tried to struggle from him but his grip was tighter, he kept pounding into me.
“Fuck…” he groaned as I felt his warmth fill me up, he withdrew his cock and pulled me to my knees. He pushed his cock down my throat as I tasted him and myself from him.
He stroked my hair and put it behind my ears as I sucked the tip of his cock, the taste of his cum filling my mouth and spreading on my tongue. I stroked his shaft and bobbed my head up and down, sucking him.
He came into my mouth and the tip sat on my tongue. He pulled up his pants and coat and then got out of the room without saying anything.
I fell to the floor as my back hit the bed. Was this the reason Zane had to punish me, for just for talking to liam, and why did Liam didn't say anything when Zane dragged me away, it just occurred to me that both brothers are the same, pretending to have your best interest at heart but you wouldn’t know you’re part of a game they’re playing.
I needed to know the main reason, why can’t I trust his story on saving Zane, he sounds like he’s protecting me but he’s doing more harm than good. I rested my back more on the bed and closed my eyes slowly.
“Talia, Talia wake up,” I heard a voice call. I blinked my eyes open softly and saw Zane standing in front of me.
“I hurriedly sat up, I didn’t talk to Liam, I promise, it was like a coincidence,” I rushed out.
“I know,” he replied with a soft smile, then brought out a flower from his pocket and placed a blue flower into my hand, his fingers brushing lightly against mine.
“This is for you.”
I rubbed my eyes with the back of my hand before looking down at the flower resting in my palm, my fingers slowly curling around it as confusion settled in my chest.
“I don’t know what color of flower you like so I got this for you since you wear blue a lot,” he added, his voice gentle, his eyes fixed on me.
“Am I dreaming?” I muttered, lifting my gaze to him, my brows pulled together.
He let out a small laugh, shaking his head.
“No, you are not.”
His expression softened for a moment before he continued, his tone quieter.
“I am sorry for what happened earlier. I am not supposed to do that.”
I forced a small smile, my fingers tightening slightly around the flower as I watched him. He stood up and left the room, the door closing behind him.
The silence that followed felt heavy.
“Was I wrong about Zane?” I whispered, lifting the flower closer to my nose and inhaling its scent. “Zane is a nice person, he just gets angry and bursts out sometimes.”
I stayed there for a moment, still holding the flower, my thoughts tangled.
“I did not even thank him,” I said, lightly hitting my forehead before letting out a small sigh.
I slowly stood up and walked toward the door, holding the flower carefully as I stepped out into the hallway.
I moved from room to room, opening doors and looking inside. The mansion was large, bigger than I thought, with many rooms stretching across long hallways. Some maids were cleaning quietly, while others were empty.
I kept walking, my eyes scanning every corner as I searched for him.
As I reached the last room, I was about to open the door when I heard a low chuckle.
My hand froze.
Then I heard murmuring voices.
My heart skipped.
I moved closer and pressed my ear gently against the door, trying to listen.
It was Zane’s voice.
And he was not alone.
Another male voice answered him, deeper and unfamiliar.
Zane chuckled again, his tone darker.
“I told you before Morotti, I am going to make her life a living hell.”
My breath caught.
My fingers tightened around the flower, slightly bending the stem.
“Who are they talking about?” I thought as I leaned closer, pressing my ear more firmly against the door.
“I am going to make sure Liam regrets not claiming her,” Zane continued, his voice cold.
My eyes widened.
Liam?
What did Liam have to do with this?
“Are you sure you are going to do that Alpha?” the other man asked.
Zane let out a low sound before answering.
“Yes, and it is going to be more interesting since Liam reacted to her. Talia will regret knowing me.”
My breath hitched sharply.
The flower slipped slightly in my grip.
Regret knowing him?
My chest tightened painfully as everything replayed in my mind, the smile, the apology, the way he spoke to me.
None of it was real.
My eyes dropped slowly to the flower in my hand, the blue petals suddenly feeling meaningless.
It was all part of something else.
Something I did not understand yet.
My fingers loosened slightly as I stared at it, my thoughts racing.
Liam and Zane are playing a game
Was I part of it?
My chest rose and fell unevenly as the realization settled heavily inside me.
I slowly stepped back from the door, careful not to make any sound.
The hallway felt colder now.
My grip tightened again, crushing the flower slightly as my jaw clenched.
So this was the truth.
Not kindness.
Not regret.
Just manipulation.
I turned away slowly, my steps heavier than before.
I did not know what they were planning.
But I knew one thing.
I could not trust either of them anymore.
