Damien's POV
No. No. No.
This isn't what I wanted to happen. How am I supposed to explain this to her? I didn't even mean for her to see all of this. I don't know why she took my words the wrong way. I didn't want her to see the other side of me. There's no way she's going to stay if I'm worse than she already knows.
"Now that she's finally gone, can we talk about us?" Carla said, at the moment when my anger was rising up.
I wasn't expecting her. I didn't ask her to come back to me after she's been gone for years. She thinks I'm still that idiot who loved her so much that she could manipulate me at will? I was so stupid at that time and didn't experience love because I was alone for a long time.
It was a very dark moment for me. When I finally thought I had someone that cared about me she decided to leave me just like the rest of my family did I was all alone and needed her but where was she I promised myself I wouldn't do romance anymore until I met Amelia.
I was smitten by Amelia since I met her. Maybe her features might have reminded me of my ex who rejected me but I recognized her because she was my mate. Shes not going to leave me. I was stupid in the past but maybe it was because Carla wasn't worth it. I'm never going to let Amelia go. I'll do whatever it takes to keep her with me even if she hates me.
"You're not saying anything to me. Are you still thinking about her? Isn't she a substitute you got because you missed me?" She asked coming closer to me.
"I could see the similarities between the both of us. She's indeed much more prettier than I am but I know you're doing all of this because of me. Now that I'm back, you don't need to see her anymore."
I didn't want to believe her audacity. For the sake of the relationship we had in the past, I was respectful enough and didn't do anything to her. She's supposed to die the moment she decided to come to me, yet she thinks she's all that.
I wasn't even expecting her. She already kissed me in front of Amelia. What is she going to think from now on? Now she left angrily, and I'm left to deal with this bitch.
"I want you to move back first of all, before I completely lose it." I told her.
She broke up with me years ago because I wasn't worthy of being with her. She manipulated me at will and did whatever she wanted because I cared about her. She has left me for a long time when I needed her the most because she saw me as a monster. She saw my powers and thought I was something else just because I didn't tell her I was a lycan.
"I know you're still mad at me for living you at that time. But you can't just choose someone randomly because you're mad at me." She said and I finally had enough.
”Can you take a look at yourself and tell me if you really deserve my time? It's been years and you're still the same narcissistic and overly proud person that you are.”
She looked shocked. "Are you really saying this to me, Damien? It's me, the love of your life, the one you said you couldn't live without."
I scoffed. "Indeed, I couldn't live without you for a while. But I finally realized you were just a pastime and I survived so good."
"It has been years. You abandoned me when I needed you the most. Now you're back telling me all of this. What exactly is your goal?"
She tried to move closer to me but I pushed her off. "Damien—"
"Don't come close to me. Stand there and tell me what you're here to say."
"Of course I'm back to be with you. What else do you think I came here to do?"
I pointed towards the door, "Get out."
"What?"
"Guards!" I called and they rushed in.
"Yes Alpha."
I looked at her with nothing but anger and disgust. If she had come to apologize or even lived without appearing in front of me, things would have been better. But she's here acting like she's the boss and the victim. She's the one who left me when I needed her the most for the most stupid reasons.
I couldn't stand it. Looking at her indeed brought me some memories which was why I didn't want Amelia to be here in the first place. She might not understand how Carla hurt me even if I explained clearly to her.
"Get this woman out of here and never let her in my mansion again. If you let her in, I'm going to kill you all." I ordered them.
"Yes Alpha!"
"Wait a minute Damien. Are you kicking me out of your place? It's me. Your beloved, can you really be here to treat me this way. It's about to rain you know." She said desperately.
I looked at the guards who stopped because they didn't know if they were supposed to drag her away or not. I think I need to use one person as an example for them to realize that I'm not joking around with them.
I grabbed one of them and choked him, inciting fear into the others. I was getting so angry that it felt hard for me to control myself.
"Alpha, please stop. You're going to kill him!" Lucas rushed in.
I let him go, making him fall to the ground. "I told you to track her out of here and you're defiling my orders?"
"No Alpha! We dare not!"
"Why don't you get her out of here like the Alpha asked, instead of saying all of this? Or do you not care about your lives anymore?" Lucas scolded them.
Without second thoughts, they immediately dragged Color out of the mansion while she shouted for me to help her. I didn't even look at her twice. I wasn't ready to deal with her. I don't know why she came back this time around when she has been gone for a long time.
I even sent people to look for her, but I never found her. When I finally forgot about her, she's really appearing in my life? There's no way that she doesn't have bad motives. I'm not going to believe she came genuinely because she loves me. She's the only woman I've ever let in my life.
My main priority is to get Amelia to come so I can explain things to her, and she won't continue to misunderstand me.
"Lucas, go and bring her back to me," I told him.
He looked confused. "But Alpha, you just asked them to kick her out."
I frowned. "Who do you think I'm talking about?"
He finally realized. "Oh... she already left, Alpha. She was so mad that she said she was going home. I don't think I'll be able to bring her back today."
"Then go there tomorrow and bring her to me. I don't care what it takes, but she's going to be my Luna soon. I'm moving the dates faster."
"Yes, Alpha."
